Not sure how much you have fished this reel but I have fished mine a lot and I’m still loving it, for the money it’s a awesome reel if you like round reels. I throw baits from 3 to 10 grams and it casts a mile without adjusting the brakes unless I’m casting into a strong wind. Again a very nice reel and I would still purchase it even if it was priced over $200.

For the money it’s an awesome reel, I enjoy it alot it’s my only non Japanese made reel I have purchased in years and that says alot I think.

definitely my next BFS reel purchase, something different from what I have. I don't think any of the other CDM reels are providing too much over say the DWU when you consider the prices of say the Arise Air and the Flight Feather.

Haven;t tried the Arise (yet). :P The Flight Feather is definitely better than the DWU, but is it twice as good? And doesn;t have the drag clicker. I'm really enjoying the Tendershoot though so far.

If the line capacity is true its a massive plus for me we fish in rivers with big catfish and strom Yellowfish and getting spooled is a real threat 😅 greetings from South Africa!

I have - it's pretty nice. right up there with the SLX BFS for best value / performance ratio so far. :)

This was the next reel on my radar. Been so impressed with the conquest that I was thinking of getting a right hand one, but if this performs great with casting, it might be a cheaper alternative. How does it feel when you palm it?

So far very similar. Not quite as form fitting or comfortable. Haven't decided on casting yet. Need to lube and explore a wider range of weights. Then do a proper comparison to the CQ BFS. But virtually zero backlashes so far. Only one I can recall was in tight area and i caught the weeds behind me... and even that came out easily.

Hi, does the Tender Shoot have a drag clicker? How does it compare size wise with the 2023 Conquest BFS?

Yes it does (mentioned in the video), and they are very similar size. the CQ BFS feels smaller in my hand. I haven;t don;t an in-depth side-by-side yet to quantify how much smaller or larger it is that the Shimano.

Have you heard or tryed the seasir mansory carbon expert, W ceramic bearings. Just recieved mine today and it feels really nice. Very good feeling brakes also.

Heard of but haven't tried. Still debating if I'll be adding any new reels this winter or not. :) It's near the top of the list if I do....

Right hand has been out of stock for a while on aliexpress. I heard this is because they had to recall the entire production line for some issue and that the availability of right handed models would be delayed significantly. I'm ambidextrous so it doesnt matter to me, but it certainly isnt a good sign.

Bearings are smoother yes you need to flush them I changed my clamber 2.0 handle and knobs to a carbon swept handle longer by an inch and threw my Stock Engetsu knobs with gomexus spare knob bearings it's a huge difference

Hi, the reel handle; do you know if the shaft handle diameter is 8X5 or 7X4, please? I have one on order and I want to change out the handle.

It might be 5.2g spool if the bearing was dry? doesn't look that greased up though

I'll be interested in how easy it is to adjust the brakes when it's on a rod. Looks like a PITA.

Even easier on a rod. and the brakes work pretty well so far.

It’s not the easiest obviously but it’s much easier than the Millionaire and not much more annoying than Shimano’s little fingernail breaker they put on theirs

I've had no issues with it. I hear they might be out of production, so long-term maintenance might be an issue.
