In anticipation of the new TEL 4 opening on 23 June 2024, the last south/eastbound train from Woodlands North was extended in a way.
Gardens by the Bay bound was extended to 11:42pm from 11:27pm previously. A new terminating trip after that GBTB bound train was added, at 11:48pm, to Outram Park. Orchard bound which was 11:37pm previously, now pushed back to 12:00am (0000 hrs).
SMRT decided to test run the new extended arrangement on 22 June 2024, unannounced, few hours before the final opening of TEL 4 stations.
