Might be a future song actually. Remember back in 2002 when they played the intro to Wings for Marie Pt. 1 before Lateralus, no one knew a thing. Then 10000 Days came and it was a complete song with even a 2nd part.

True!! Also the extension of jerk off they did back in 1998 NEEEEEEDS to be a 12 min track. And also there was an in between little instrumental they had started initially in 2012 and they kind kept revamping it thru 2018….kind of like what they did with a/descending till it came out on fear inoculum as 11min. If ur not understanding what I’m talking about then in search here in YT type in tool new jam and it’s the one with a fish on the icon picture with scissors coming dwn on it.

sounds very ethereal and atmospheric, kind of like the band isis. Adam is also using his looper pedal in this composition, can we expect more of this blend of multiple guitar riffs in their songs? Very appetizing to the ears, can't wait to hear where he went with his creative intuition this record. Exciting!

It's not Tool, but whomever has written this, is a very fond and honest listener of them. - Giveaway is the drums and the effects on "Adam's" guitar w/tune that's very much evolved in the 20 years I've listened to them..

Mutual Assured Destruction I definitely admire the compliment my brother hell honestly it makes me laugh on how many pissed off "Tool Fans" there are cause they have all this merch and shit I can tell ya I haven't seen a Tool concert in my life and I only have 2 shirts but I listen to their Albums and I've seen something on how these guys actually operate since Maynard has 2 other bands besides Tool and plus this guy owns a winery so you got to think he's one busy individual but yeah according to him there is one more contract for Tool and APC so yeah their gonna have new albums how ever these dumbfounded dipshits don't seem to realize how busy Maynard and both guys from Tool and APC are so yeah these Silly Monkeys need to be patient on how these guys operate cause for all they can do is fuck it up and give the fans a big middle finger for not being patient so yeah idc if they whine and complain all they want in the end these guys will be an individual band not be on anymore contracts like Puscifer is so yeah I just let them whine and cry about how the new Tool album isn't coming as fast as it should be hell to me it's my entertainment and I'm kicking back and enjoying the show

i've been listening to this since you first posted it a year ago and if this isn't a legit adam/justin demo track, and a developed version doesn't appear on the new album, i will genuinely be saddened beyond reach. i'll have to go back to simon & garfunkel on repeat while i operate heavy machinery and nobody wants that.

Its like im familiar with it, but its got a fresh ambience. Maybe their new album will be the evolution of everything they have ever done, so familiarity combined with a new atmospheric sound. IMO this was recorded by someone who recently viewed their live session of new tracks without maynard for the time being. SEBASTIAN BOCH YOU SNEAKY DEVIL lol jk

Opiate is and will be unchanged (i think) but they have been using that song at live performances to debut their new teaser for Descending, the unreleased track off the mythical upcoming album. Something about the time signatures matching up is always intriguing though for sure. o_0

sounds like the other part of descending that is not yet played live...but audio quality suggests hints...Horus and old egypt plays a part and melodies surely are inspired by such regardless whether this is fake or not...amazing sound quality though, but its not ATR-2(without being 100% sure in this digital day and age).

Have none of you seen tool live before? Jesus this is what they do in between songs, so Maynard and maybe Justin also can take 5 and drink alot of water. most people don't realise how exhausting it is to perform for 90 min, 120 min. Especially when it's as aggressive like tool gets, when ur playing hand gets all sweaty it makes the guitar easier to play. Nobody wants to play on a dry ass neck thinking the next time you slide blood will just start pouring. Gotta keep that neck lubed up, and if it's a nice acoustic keep it humidified, otherwise time will very slow degrade the neck and body. Wtf am I rambling about. To ascend you must die.

That interlude video you posted, then deleted, I recorded it, and have been listening to it. It’s legit. Same composition as the other released songs. The triplets and the searing metal noise at the end has the same sound as the beginning of Fear Inoculum, that’s how I knew it was real. It’s debatable if you should re-upload it, I wouldn’t spoil the album anymore. Not sure who you are, but I wonder..

Jayson Stark Probably from some High School friends jamming in their parents basement. This is NOT Tool. This is not Danny behind the kit. A Tool fan can easily tell this is way too simple to be Tool. Adam's guitar would be better and have that Tool sound. If Danny Carey (the best in rock music) were playing, the beat would be so much more complex!! Same goes for Justin. Not Tool.
