(can carry additional tools in pouch and have space for other tools in the flex) - main blade that with a belly/not sheepsfoot Thanks to Roxon for the good work and listening to the buyers, it shows :)

honestly, that ruler is the most innovative invention for multitools yet in my opinion and im quite hyped to get it, followed by the T shank holder I really wish Roxon will start to use premium Materials / Steel

I agree with all of your assessments. One thing I would add: I LOVE LOVE that ruler. I really love old school folding rulers (Zollstock), and I would say that they should create indents or some sort of mechanism found in the old folding ruler design to keep the ruler fully open like a ball detent or some sort of spring mechanism!

Another thought: Variable sized wrench? Could likely fit in 2-3 layers. Racheting bit driver? Basically a 711L in place of the inline driver. Could also be cool. Also, another vote for a magnifier. I just used the one on my SAK Explorer today to read the tiny markings on a dead light bulb.

Top three for us is the T-Shank Holder, Package Opener, and Ruler. --It'd be nice if they had a short-tool option to sit in the t-shank holder so it didn't just have to sit empty and useless until you needed it for a saw -- The package opener could be more efficient if you just added one other feature to it, like a wire-stripper, then you wouldn't need to buy the chisel tool if you didn't need a chisel. -- The ruler with a stronger magnet would be amazing. We just couldn't figure out how the protractor works. A fantastic update! Thanks! We may end up having to grab a second base unit just to keep an updated tool set at the ready.

I love the tshank and package opener. I would love to see a marlin spike. Perhaps also different options of blade steels for the knives. Beyond this, I would love a thicker version with 2-3 large tool slots, snd a single handle version to make (I believe) the first modular swiss army knife competitor. Perhaps even setting it up so the full length tshank blades fit. Adiitonally, id like them to take a look at the tolerances of their tool. I just got my preorder, and the knife wiggles a lot, almost unusably so, but to fix that, it makes everything so tight that you cannot deploy the tools anymore.

A marketing dream. You can have targeted load-outs for all your users: electrician, fisherman, lock picking etc. Unique selling point is the ability to remove tools and use separately or in conjunction with another tool. E.g ferro rod and striker within the tool. Hell, just add a peanut lighter. I was thinking of a protractor for grid references when you pulled out the ruler; if the markings are in the right place you could use that too. I was thinking also of a magnifying glass or loupe (lenses spaced out). And don't forget the usb memory stick and spare sd card holder. Bet you could get a charging cable in there too. What about a pill pot? Or sewing kit. Stapler? Probably getting carried away now...

A putty knife (for those who do wall work or just need something to do some sorting and other misc tasks with) would be great as a long tool option.

Out of these, my list would be: 1. Ruler/compass/grabber just because it is uncommon and see some good use for it. 2. T-shank 3. Package opener 4. Tweezers/ pen I think a cool tool would be a mini caliper . I think I've used mine the most to measure things that are only a few millimeters.

Here's a few wild ideas for current/new stuff (I will be adding more stuff as I come up with them). Can't promise all of them will be useful or viable: - Not sure if the 1/4" bit driver can be locked at a 90deg angle. If not - it would be cool to rework it - Perhaps a 4mm mini hex bit socket? - A whistle - Maybe a ceramic implement to accompany diamond files? - Maybe an implement with a chuck to hold deburring knives, but this one is totally off the rails. - A small fork to go into that t-shank holder. Heck, so many tools could be adapted for that. - Perhaps versions of bodies with different plier types? I would welcome a regular plier head with a front grip, like in a Knipex 82 01 200? Or a very fine, rounded needlenose plier head for more delicate work or wire bending? Maybe pliers with swappable jaws for different kinds of work? Combo pliers with a flush cutter section? So many options here. - Maybe a small set of calipers, like on the messograf pen? - A nail clipper - A crazy one, I know, but maybe a set of feeler, radius and thread gauges? - Maybe a precise spirit level (long implement)? - A telescopic implement with a magnet at the end? - Maybe a pencil sharpener and/or sharpener for thicker graphite leads for automatic pencils.

Hey the ruler/magnetic pickup tool was my suggestion to them when they opened their feedback on the website. So excited to see a prototype for it, and they even improved my idea with a protractor!

T-shank holder can be used as an interface for a variety of shorter tools, instead of only having options which take up a slot. It could lead to a multitude of accessories which would be cheaper and simpler to produce. I also would recommend a pull style can opener instead of push style (pull style also works as clamshell opener). Any glass breaker should have a real carbide bearing, hardened steel is worthless for that task.

Tshank holder and quarter inch bitdriver like the one on the leatherman surge clones (maybe with both magnetic and detent hold) would be a must for me!

T-Shank and the Package Opener for me. I use the package opener because it keeps your blade clean of tape and glue and sharp for fine tasks.

Hook blade/seatbelt & box cutter combo, magnifying glass (made of glass) and ferro rod would make a lovely addition. Same for SIM ejector and an electrical hook. Really useful for the tech folks among us.

+1 for the armorer punch, and +1 for the great idea mentioned here incorporating the cleaning rod portion and making it a threaded punch.

I've been using my Flex for 3 weeks now and wanted to share some thoughts. The T-shank holder would be a great feature, it lets you use a wider variety of attachments. The tweezers and pin would be handy for grabbing small things. Just like with my other Roxon tools (Phantom and KS2E), the large scissors are high quality but I wish a smaller size was available. The Wish List: Small scissors - The Flex doesn't have them, and I'd prefer not to use the large ones to save space for other attachments. 4mm ESD shank - This size is useful for my computer and watch repairs, and I'd rather not waste space carrying multiple shanks. On a trip the large diamond file and blank went through TSA without a problem, but your experience may vary (YMMV). Next time I'll try bringing the Flex's scissors to see if TSA allows them. Overall, the Flex is a great multi-tool, but a small pair of scissors and a 4mm ESD shank would make it even better for me.

My personal favorites listed here 1) pen + tweezer kit (very general purpose, pen is ALWAYS useful when you need it) 2) Protractor/ruler/magnet (I like measuring stuff and magnets are amazing to have) 3) T-Shank holder (near infinite use depending on what you put in it) Other ideas: - a USB memory stick (doesn't need to be a lot of memory, few GB) as opposed to the flashlight. There was a Victorinox thing that had a USB stick in it I always wanted. -- there are other things you could in theory put here, USB-C to 3.0 converter (or lightning for apple users). - I know patents are a thing, but some kind of off-brand way to use Leatherman bits (or even standard hex head bits) - I also like the SOG thing mentioned in the video

The T-shank holder is nice. I would like to see a scalpel blade holder, that would make it easy to have something razor sharp that can be replaced cheaply when needed.

I like the micro tool holder, although I think I will add sim card ejector and a pin nail, so 4 tools and ideal in a multitool. I would add also in random order A nail clipper - 2 slots A 1/4" Socket driver- 2 slots A carabiner / nail puller / strike surface / opener 3 slots An auto wrench 3 slots (it's similar to the ones fitted in those titanium pry bar multitools) A mini electrician knife 1 slot A multi wrench 1 slot (4 to 10 mm) A waterproof USB drive for TF cards 3 slots. As for priority tool T shank holder Folding ruler Hook Package opener Comb I love a flashlight but yeah it's terrible and as much I like that sort of stuff in a multitool, I think this is not the best way to do it, mostly it taking 4 slots... For me the best is to have a combo tool. I have one of the smallest telemeter, a 4 slot tool with light, laser, electronic level, and time functions can justify the slots needed my telemeter mesures 55 mm ( a bit more than 2 inches) long 12 mm thick and 22 mm wide. So with sevral adjustments it's possible, and even if the Led isn't that strong it makes up for the other tools and usb rechargeable. The other tool is electronic pressure gauge with similar functions as the measure tool Something that can accomodate a volty style electrician micro multimeter For less than 15v it can measure direct voltage with polartity, then it's non contact for high power and can check continuity. With USB recharge and 3 ~ 4 slots it can be super useful. I would like some tools like folding mini pliers, scissors, wire strippers, even if they will take 2 slots and have the handle that will stick out. You can get something with a descent size without taking the main big slots As for the other suggestions, more frames, larger ones and also smaller ones with also different tools ( slip joint pliers, shears, wire stripper head, etc...) Tool bars of various sizes and lengths So even if I carry a multitool with a plier i can also have the bar and bit ans sockets with me. I think this tool system is the best thing to come in the multiverse 😊.

T shank and ruler are excellent additions! I wonder if the t-shank could ship with an adapter that would allow it to accept leatherman bits too. That way you could carry a double ended bit in the short slot until you needed to use the longer purpose built t-shank stuff

the tweezer pen combo is a winner for me

Tools to add: - SIM card removal tool. - Parcel opener/hook blade (TSA compliant). General improvements: - I'd love to see this multitool lightened up a lot using cut-out in the handle, maybe using G10 handle scales or corrugations in thd steel, or fluting. Bonus points for keeping the whole tool with 5 layers of tools down to a weight below 3oz (90g). - Instead of two handle layers, I'd love to see a single layer/handle multitool.

New tool suggestions: Removable pry bar, sharpening ceramic, handcuff key, auger bit for drilling. A clone for the leatherman bit drivers , mini Bogota lock picks.

Re: the light, I think it would make sense for someone looking to put together a first-responder multitool, as a way to check pupil response with zero risk of accidentally blinding your patient. If they bundled it with a ring cutter, pen insert, pair of tweezers, and maybe a pair of scissors (not to replace trauma shears but to supplement them), you'd have the start to a pretty solid WFR/"off-duty EMT" tool

I was out this weekend, and had the need for a tool, and remembered this video. How about a silcock key for turning on water when the handles or knobs are removed. The pliers themselves, didn't close tight enough for them to be used. Maybe even adjust the pliers so they can do the job??? I'm not sure if they're still reading the comments or not, but I thought I'd throw this idea for a tool out there since I haven't seen any tool have this.

I would add a strong prying tool. Add option for extra large sheath to carry additional tools/blades that can be swapped for tools in the holder. I will order to support this wonderful innovation.

I'm happy that all of these options exist, potentially, even though some are implements i don't see myself ever wanting. I like the t-shank adapter and ruler the best of these new tools. Tools I'd like are a 4mm bit adapter, 1/4" socket adapter, and can opener/bottle opener/wire stripper like on many Leatherman tools.

Some very cool ideas there. I can see using that comb to get burrs out of my dogs when we're out in the bush. The flashlight, I'd rather see turned into a small storage container with a cap, for meds, micro fishing kit or tinder. About 20 years ago, I think it was Gerber who came out with an attachment that held regular SawZall or Jigsaw blades. I still have mine somewhere, and I always carried a few different blades, but my favorite was the big Skil 9 inch "UGLY". Man, that thing goes through wood like a chainsaw. I'm not a fan of being limited to buy a specialty T-shank blade from Gerber. Keep up the great work.

The T-shank is a great idea. As someone who lives bearded I like the beard comb. I also think some carving tools would be nice maybe a hook knife or a gouge. Also some kind of poking tool or a scribe would be nice.

There are many of these tools I would purchase: Tshank holder, ruler, pen & tweezer, flashlight, comb, divot, and punch. Would also like to see a fork. I like the idea of having the option of a setup that could be handed to a young person as an intro to multitools excluding the sharp tools.

Those are all neat ideas. The T-shank blade holder needs to happen for sure! How bout an ice pick/hook pick set that could be threaded into a holder like you mentioned a cleaning rod could be? Could have a set of four different picks you could swap in and out. I would probably use a straight ice pick most often. More often than a pin punch or an awl. A 4mm bit holder is a good idea as well. I also liked the idea of a decent wire stripper similar to the one you showed.

The package opener is a nice addition for us living in a country where you can't carry a knife in any shape or form. I could use it for cutting too in a pinch. So I think it's a quite high priority for me at least!

Id like to see a paint can opener. Sure a small flat prybar can do this, but a long paint can opener also serves as a way to fish out rifle casings that fail to eject. Great way to clear malfunctions.

I got the KS2 elite and have been enjoying it so far. I got a little giddy at the idea of swapping the three one handed augments for a magnetic double sided bit driver and also subbing the saw for a diamond file. Keeping the d2 blade and scissors...man that'd be a winner for me.

In order of what I liked (and cool it was made at all); T-shank (most important), ruler+magnet, package opener, tweezers+pen, hook, comb (nice when you have to swap out knives for travel).

Observations/ suggestions: the general purpose hook is great for helping make gill nets. That one is a big chunky but would work. A crochet hook is another useful gill net tool. A magnify glass tool might be worthwhile, particularly if it was enough to get an ember going on a bright day. a simple drill bit beats an awl for drilling a hole, though and awl is essential. I used a 1/4 drive short one and ground the end down to fit in the Leatherman/ harbor freight 1/4” flattened screw driver receiver. the pin punch is fine, would work for its intended purpose as is. gut hook would be a nice addition. a truly good file like a swiss made one or like something produced by stihl saws on a multitool would rock, as would a short chainsaw file. an assortment of allen keys, pick your own sizes as well as a couple of open end wrenches would help get into the bicyclist market- I have made my own multitools for this purpose that work well.

From a manufacturing engineering perspective: 1/4 bit driver A GOOD file Scissors T-shank Scalpel holder I really like the idea of that ruler The parcel hook could be useful I keep a knife/flashlight/prybar on me, so there is no need to duplicate in a tool (for me, at least). Its exciting to see this platform develop.

The hook is amazing for o-rings. That’s the big one for me.

I need to see the 1/4 bit driver but that’s still number 1. Out of the new ones, the t shank, pickup tool (even a dedicated extendable one like an old aerial with a magnet would be great), and the package opener are all musts for me. Love to see them improving on the project

I would like an adapter for the replaceable blades used on the Phantom, S502U etc. A magnifier would also be good especially if it was removable.

I'm planning to get a Flex when they come out with the bar version. I don't need pliers, but I'd definitely use a bar version I can trick out. Tools: T-shank: Hell yes. Ruler/protractor: Hell yes. Gun tools: Eh, I don't do guns. Not interested. Punch: however, if that were a bit sharper, I could use it as a leather punch for leather work. That would be great, and much better suited than the awl/reamer. Hook: I'm one of those weirdos that does actually use the hook on my SAK, so I'd love one here. It looks good. My concern is that the SAK hook is in the middle, making the SAK a handle. It don't know how you could do that with this design, which would make it less useful. With the hook inline with the handle it can't really be weight bearing. Package opener: probably good, though not the top priority when I have the craft blade holder. Pen: Honestly, yes, this is important. I wish you'd shown more of it to know how good it is. Less important in plier configuration, but for bar EDC, I use the pen in my SAKs surprisingly often. Comb: it's a gimmick, but we knew it was coming. Why the hell not? Carabiner: Why? Seems pointless. I like the idea of a fork. Hell, make a spork, too. Build your own camping tool! If the price is reasonable, I could absolutely see building 2-3 configurations that complement each other for different tasks, and carrying some combination of them depending on what I'm doing. Like, I could build one with scissors, craft blade, punch, and a skiing knife. Now I have a respectable leather working kit in one tool. (Excluding things you hit, which I wouldn't want to put in a folding multitool anyway. I am so excited by the Flex, and I have high hopes for whst it means for the industry. Also, props to Roxon for reaching out to the community for feedback in this way! That gives us much more confidence in the company and product.

As far as hating on the "not useful" implements... I already got mine thru pre-order, and of course got all the offerings except the hex wrenches. That's what works for me. BUT... I can envision someone whose daily routine involves a cubicle and commute, who might want a setup like: Long - Hobby blade and scissors. Short - Comb, tweezers/pen, light, divot tool, etc. I didn't check to see if all of that fits, but you get the idea. Side note: I've loved your channel for a long time. I rarely if ever buy a piece of gear without checking to see what you have to say about it. Thanks!

Was the mini punch not for an AR platform's firing pin retaining pin? It looks perfect for that little thing 😆 The pen and Tweaser would be a top priority for me. I carry a Victorinox primarily for the tweezers. TShank holder is high for me too. Then said AR Tool Then the package opener for cutting small zip ties and cordage. Sometimes i can't fit a larger knife into the work space i have, so I appreciate narrow cutting implements that i can just pull through.

As someone who had to get their flex via proxy since im in europe, i hope these new prototypes are available in EU soon! As far as favorites, package opener, hook, folding ruler, and not featured but a corkscrew would be fun if they can make it work

I absolutely need that ruler. That is number 1 for me. As for other items, I am a weirdo that wants dedicated drivers instead of the multi function pieces I have seen. my preorder includes two 1/4" bit holders, but with all the cool stuff being made since that point, I would like to have the extra space to include other tools. Or at the very least, a leatherman double sided bit holder. I could work with that. Also, I know that the flex isn't even out yet, but I would very much like to see a single handle tool based on the tech.

I think it would be nice to have different bit holders. Maybe a smaller one for their roxon sized bit set but internal. And maybe one that uses the flat (rectangle) 1/4 inch bits, in order to save width. Also gives them the chance to make a new bit kit to sell.

I agree with ruler and t shank holder being top 2. If the flashlight was brighter, it would definitely be on my tool. I have a great pocket light, but I just have too much in my pockets as it is.

The ruler is extremely cool. The t shank is nice too. It would be nice if they could fit a utility blade adapter like they have on the phantom.

For me: Best: Tweezers/pen tool, t shank, ruler tool Meh: package opener (current prybar already has one), comb (metal combs are not good for hair). Maybe: firearm stuff (very specific and better tools may be available). Probably no: torch tool, golf tool, carabiner, parcel hook. Also, I would be very excited to have a thick prybar added (just like of Leatherman free series). It would be nice to see it about 2 layers thick (like Philips driver on current roxon flex). Such prybar would make this tool instant buy.

Might be an unpopular opinion but it would be AMAZING if they could make a dedicated pry tool. Nothing cut out and no frills, just a solid chunk to pry. Something similar to “the mighty pry bar” would be perfect!
