Toyo new UHP all season tire; Toyo targeting Tesla owners and other vehicles. Tesla does not outfit or option out the Model 3 or Y Performance with an all season UHP option. For those living in the Northern states, this means swapping out winter tires when the temps drop below 40. Only real alternative is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+; which is getting long in the tooth. Michelin recently upgraded their UHP A/S with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4; but at this time not for Tesla sizes. Later technology brings better silica/rubber formulas, tread design, and computer modeling. Note the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 has a lot more siping, looking like the Toyo Proxes Sport A/S. The additional siping acts as little fingers clawing through water, slush, light snow.

Pricing: The Toyo aggressively priced out at $143/tire for the p235x35r20. Considerably less than the Michelin A/S 3+ at around $240/tire.
Summary: Disclaimer the Tesla is AWD so ymmv. My evaluation based on normal/spirited driving and not for track or crazy maneuvering attempts.
1)Softer ride than the Michelin 4S due to softer compound formulated for all season use. Not bad for rubber band tires.
2)Good grip dry pavement; enough for aggressive spirited driving but the 4S better for track use above 40 degrees. Did notice softer edge in hard cornering than the 4S; the 4S probably has stiffer sidewalls and compound for track usage. But the Toyo never complained and the Tesla tracked accordingly.
3)Good grip in the rain. Did not detect any squirminess or break in traction during hard maneuvering or cornering. Braking was good with no drama. Confidence building. The 4S also tracks well in the rain. During heavy or deep water, I suspect the additional siping would benefit the Toyo is dispelling the water and reaching the pavement more than the 4S.
4) Good grip in slush and light snow. No wheel spin from stop. No sliding during braking. Held sudden maneuvering well; stuck to the course. Never attempted in the 4S.
5)Noise levels seem to be the same or maybe slightly more than the 4S. Too close for me to call. Anyway, since did not stand out I will call it a non-issue.
6)Undetermined snow grip as we are in a dry spell, less than 1 inch of snow this winter, we should be around 8 inches--another video when we get snow.
7)Steering felt heavier/stiffer than the 4S. The car still turned in fast but felt like it took more effort making the 4S front end feel lighter on its feet.
8)At temperature below 40 degrees, the Toyo Proxes Sport A/S would better the Michelin 4S in every category making it the perfect everyday tire for the Tesla. In my area, I can expect 40's 5 months of the year. I did drive the Tesla with the 4S in temperatures low 30s with controllable results though the ride quality was stiffer.
