This is the reason I’ve never really been into the whole team Black vs Green thing.( I like characters on both sides but not enough for me to root for either side) Because at its core, at least in my opinion, the Dance was never a political conflict, it was a personal one. They didn’t go to war over conflicting ideas on how to govern the realm or who would be the better ruler or anything like that. Not really. I think it’s purely for selfish reasons and those being “ I want that damn chair, because it mine and I want it”. Anyway tiny rant over, still love the show

If they hint that Vermax laid eggs in the Winterfell Crypts, that's 1000% confirmation that there are (at least tentative) plans to continue the story post Season 8. Whether they call it Season 9, Snow, Winds Of Winter etc, it doesn't particularly matter. I'm convinced that the plan is to rectify the sour reception of Season 8 by incorporating all of the dropped / omitted book plots and characters in a new series set post Season 8. Houses Reed, Dayne and Hightower explored in more depth, (f)Aegon and Jon Connington, Euron's entire plotline (which they'll have to transfer onto Victarian since they've already killed off Euron), all the characters we thought we weren't getting from Darkstar, the Ghost of Highheart, team Aegon, the other members of House Tyrell etc. all the moon meteor, twin sword, symbology. The whole shebang, they can do the whole lot. This time Jon will battle the "big bad" who I think will be Night's Queen and either Azor Ahai aka The original Night's King brought back to life, or the Night's King possessing Victarian's body (as I think there's a chance he/ The Great Other will take over Euron in the books). Ultimately, the others (lead by their new leader, Jon Snow) will end up going back into the weirwood net. That's what I'm holding out for!

It’s sad that the dance of dragons nearly destroyed the realm when the Targaryen that sits on that throne is supposed to unite the realm but this is George’s main point about what happens when you are in a war and the small folk are constantly being threatened or destroyed as well as kin fighting kin for the price of power. This would’ve been replicated better in game of thrones had they not cut out so many pivotal characters and elements that made asoiaf so special.

It definitely sucks that this conflict between a select few nobles leads to the deaths of thousands of smallfolk. However, I have to admit I came out Team Black after reading F&B because most of the mass-killing came from the Greens. It’s always shocking to me that Daemon was more restrained than Aegon/Aemond/Daeron.

David are you certain Condal confirmed that dragon near the end of the Greens' trailer was Seasmoke ? Def could be as that dragon's coloration not far off. But I thought (unless i am misremembering) that Seasmoke had more discernible red accents and a slightly more aggressive / menacing looking face than that dragon near the end of that trailer. I thought Seasmoke's horns were slightly different as well. I was thinking it might have been Dreamfyre and given how much that dragon looked like Drogon ; could have been a nod to certain theories around Dreamfyre being the mother of Dany's dragons. But if its been confirmed as Seasmoke , perhaps i am misremembering Seasmoke's exact look from S1.

I disagree that this about a woman’s throne being usurped as much as it is about a family tragedy. Both sides (the siblings) have been pinned against eachother needlessly & selfishly by all the parents. Although Viserys wanted them to be a happy family, even his actions divided them. Very tragic for both sides. Can you imagine how powerful this family would be if they were encouraged to love and respect each other by all of the parents involved?

It is a criminal act that we have to wait until June for this to be released.
