Sarah Palin was certainly the warm up act. Oddly enough, she was more responsive to reality than most modern Republican politicians. She at least had the decency to acknowledge that her public appearances made her look bad. She'd blame the "lame steam media" but at least she didn't simply claim to have done an amazing job after being embarrassed. She'd make excuses but at least she'd acknowledge that things didn't go well.
