Well done to the government for salvaging this garden from the jaws of land grabbers. Then transforming it into a masterpiece of a historical sanctuary. This garden will outlive us all and feed history to many more generations to come.

In terms of infrastructure and development projects yes he is but for me Mwai Kibaki is still the best president due to his economic prowess. But it seems we are raising the standards and heading in the right direction.

Thinking of My grandpa who was in Suez canal and burma as part of the troops fighting for the British….he would narrate to us stories about his experiences and how they walked on foot through abysinia!

Congratulations for posting this video. Very interesting and informative article 👍. It's a place I would love to visit 😀. Watched from 🇬🇧. You can't imagine such a monumental project to take one year to complete. That tells us that there is nothing we cannot achieve if we put our hearts to it. Bravo President Uhuru Kenyatta for making sure that the ground was utilised for what it was set apart for and KDF for not letting him down👏.

Nice work you did here. Point of correction from 8:48 to 8:58. U said Mekatilili was believed to be born in 1940s and then proceeded to say that she led against British colonial forces btw 1912 and 1915.

Is Uhuru Gardens opened to the public? Because I want to continue to advance my knowledge about the Kenyan history even though I know the majority of it because through documentaries like Makers of a nation helped me to know more about my motherland Kenya.

The project is good but what slows down Kenya has not been captured. I hope in the future history of the corrupt, details of historical injustices in the ndung'us report, why we still have white settlers renewing their leases for another 100 years in 2020 yet millions of our youths are struggling with unemployment and paying rent, the political struggle of the eletrorate shall be captured. #tohealthiscountry tuambiane ukweli

Great content Mr Sikolia but get your facts right please, There's no way Mekatilili wa menza could have been born in the 1940s and led the giriama against British colonial forces in the 1912 and 1915, we want a creative and accurate content that can be accepted globally without any ambiguities

Good job this time but a little correction metelile wa menza could not have been born in the 1940s and then lead a resistance to the British in 1912 and I guess the guys in charge of locos are called engineers, good job though

There is a drive to collect old items for this museum. Get in touch with the National archives or national museum of Kenya if you have any item of interest.

@@gm2139 if you want to use the word history, know that it covers the past as far as we have records and before Egypt existed, a land our Ancestors called Kemet existed, 3100BC, before Arabs even existed or stepped into Afrika in 680AD. History is not blocked from us by anyone. Why don't you want Kenyan children to know all their history? The Arab in Egypt will tell you the Great pyramid of Giza was built by a man called Kufu, but do you know us Kenyans, together with the Tanzanians, are the only ones still use the term "Kufu" to refer to our leaders as "Mtu-Kufu", no other people are recorded to have used the same term to refer to their leaders except the Ancient Egyptians of Kemet, who built the pyramids, 2500BC and us Kenyans.

If you listen well you will actually know that it was an error during voice which we didn't detect until our viewers started asking. It's actually 1840s. She could have led a rebellion when not yet born of course. We apologize
