Thanks for the nice review. I'm currently building a vintage style race bike out of an old Suzuki GP125 which has a rotary valve. Modern style air cooled cylinders are pretty much only made for Vespa's in the 100-200cc range so I've welded and milled the engine block to fit a VMC ET7 on my GP125 engine. The GP125 have a 50mm stroke which matches Vespas 51mm pretty well. I have an extra engine which I was thinking about going big bore with this Crono cylinder. With a 50mm stroke and adjusted height of the cylinder you should get around 130°/190° durations and a little more revs with the shorter stroke.

I am after a bit of help. I have a 2016 Vespa PX 150. It has a Pinasco 60mm crank, 20/20 carb with 112 main jet, BE5 tube, 140 air corrector. The idle jet is a 52-140 with mixture screw 3 turns out. It still seems a bit lean on the idle jet. Revs take a few seconds to settle after a blip and on the overrun it pops quite a bit. I have recently fitted a new Pinasco 190cc Vespone kit. Originally it had a 105 main jet but it now has a Pollini Road exhaust so I upgraded the main to a 112. There does not seem much difference between the 105 and 112. It does not splutter or bog down when I apply a good amount of throttle. What jet settings would you recommend I start with for this setup? I appreciate you must get a lot of quetsions. Kind regards. sorry i dont do si20/20, but you need to set idle jet correct pls use the mixture screw. take care of your pinasco piston, they all like to crack sadly. i would rather recommend using a VMC.

Hi sir, im using vmc crono with kd2 crankshaft. Do i have to extend my intake? If i need to extend, may i know how many degrees i need extand?

u need reed valve. crono is not a rotary cylinder.

Can i use the Chrono piston in a Stelvio cilinder? It work?

is it recommended to use a vmc crono using a rotary valve stroke 60 and si carb 24 24? or what kind of suit do you recommend? thank you.

no. crono exhaust port is too wide for limited rotary. its a reed valve cylinder.

60 not needed but is fun of course, if 57mm crank is fine AND rotary valve tolerance 0,05mm is provided, i like to use the 57mm crank and extend intake timings

@@FreakMoPed8 why is the Crono a Problem with Rotary usw?Whats the Problem with this? What will be the Result. Not as much power as with Reed. Like all the other cylinders too.

crono only for reed valve, cause of the big exhaust port! cant really answer, no experience yet in this comparison. Both come with meteor piston, vmc is younger design with side ex ports. I would say advantage vmc

could work. i am not a fan of extra longstroke, enoug power is available with standard 60mm with all kits

stelvio = rotary, crono = reed valve

Between these vmc 187,Malossi 177 cast iron and quattrini m1xl 172,which is best, interm of acceleration and topspeed? And do u recommend full circle mazzhuchelli 60mm crankshaft, to pair with any of these three cylinder block?? Or just stick with standard 57mm crank?

quattrini, then vmc crono i would consider Exhaust depends on what you want, torque or reving
