Thank you for a thorough review. it is another good looking kit from Victrix but I would have preferred all six figures to have been posed similar to figures B3 and B4 with left foot forward and left shoulder leaning forward, to rank up closely in a phalanx.

Well reviewed. The figure you made of an archer with a Corinthian helmet epitomizes the rule of cool.

Awesome video thanks for taking the time. I have a good idea of what to expect now. Great shout about my question ! I placed an order for a set of the new Greek Hoplites, as well as some of their EIR infantry to test out, plus some cav, because I wanted a Parthian shot pose horse archer. I’ll come back here for reference when my kits arrive :) if I like the Greeks I will definitely get a sprue or box of the Spartans to mix and match even if it’s just for the heads and weapons, wish there were more cloaks in that kit.

Good plan. Making cloaks out of green stuff is not too hard. Have you tried that? There's heaps of KZfaq tutorials on the subject if you require.

@@greatsouthernancientminiat8812 I haven’t tried that but good suggestion. That could be fun to try my hand at !

Wondering how the hell you painted the shields! I would consider selling your creations, cause I’ve considered paying for them! Excellent channel my man, have seen a couple of these vids suggested to me here and there. I’m a hobbyist but never ventured into this realm, I greatly appreciate your depth of work

Thanks mate. The shields have transfers. In some cases I " augment them" a bit ie w painting patterns on the rims etc. If you're serious re buying some of my minis I'm interested as I'm running out of bookcase room !😅

what do you use to pour linothorax on hoplites? I'm afraid if you make it white and shed shadow it will turn out gray
@greatsouthernancientminiat88122 ай бұрын
I paint w a bright white then wash with citadel "Apothecary White"

@@greatsouthernancientminiat8812 Thanks, don't you think the linothorax is turning grey? maybe it would be better to use a light gray color?

@@greatsouthernancientminiat8812 thank you, I’ll wait for the video since I’ll be painting bronze myself, but I can’t decide on its shade
