@JimmyStewart1 actually yes I own the yellow bat I scooped it up, has the ball end frets just the tuners weren't great on it, but 280 cad either way awesome deal, I've been able to use a local shipping company that has US warehouses which ship across boarder even after the conversion rate and duty I can't complain, but yes would be alot easier if Amazon canada had more to offer!

@@dean828 I agree that the web site is a bit lacking, but it’s gotten better in the past year or so. They tend to do a lot of “cut and paste” when it comes to descriptions and specs and a lot of times, things get a bit confused. Firefly has been updating their models with Alnico 5’s on most of the newer models along with SS frets…they keep upping the game and the web site needs to keep up with it as well…..thanks so much for stopping into the channel and sharing your thoughts. The light “satin or matte” finish just feels good. Of course you can get those finishes in a non relic version in some models as well. @@phillamoore157 Thanks for watching and commenting. I simply review and demo the guitar once I receive it. Good, bad or otherwise. I mention flaws as I see them. I have had a few that came in with issues…they are all here on the channel. I will tend to give very budget instruments a break for small finish flaws or other small imperfections as most would expect that in the budget market. Those types of flaws or other issues with a Gibson Custom Shop would solicit angry or unhappy customers in droves as paying that type of money, the customer EXPECTS perfection. I got so wrapped up in the issue at hand, I tend to forget to make sure that I’m not blaming the channel themselves per-se for ANY issue related to the company they’re reviewing. For what it’s worth, I thought it was a great, honest, review. My issues are with the companies (and strange epidemic) itself. Sorry for not making that clear in my comment. My bigger point is that, due to the Gibson’s of the world putting out junk for the price they’re asking, we’re in the middle of a very odd epidemic of people who want to be seen getting the “deal of the century”, and when it doesn’t work out like that (and rarely it does, for one reason or another), they won’t acknowledge it, because it makes them look foolish acting like they got anything but a mediocre (at best) instrument at a “too good to be true” price. The comment sections are filled with people like that (not the channels themselves, for the most part). I had a guy on GuitarMax’s channel trying to take sides (another epidemic, regardless of topic) defending Firefly, tell me he bought 50 Firefly’s in the past 5yrs, none of which had a single problem (which makes Firefly’s QC better than Suhr’s at that point). The number of things wrong with that guy’s comment are too numerous to mention. But, that’s the stuff I’m talking about…. So, that trend aside, I’m glad I came across your channel. It seems very genuine. 👍

I have a couple of light relics (a IYV LP model and a Slick Jag style) and both are done well. Perhaps in the future releases? Rosewood Tele? I bet it’s probably going to be a mahogany body with a rosewood veneer and a maple neck with a rosewood veneer on the headstock, similar to the Harley Benton TE-70 rosewood model. I absolutely cannot picture Firefly making it out of pure rosewood, which would almost certainly be VERY expensive, not to mention HEAVY, unless it’s chambered with a white sandwich stripe like the later ones from Fender, and I cannot picture Firefly going to the additional trouble and expense of adding this additional manufacturing complexity, either. I wonder what other models Firefly has in the pipeline now though! Do you know?

@@zuperdee I would agree it not being a solid rosewood bodied guitar. The price point would be way too high for a Firefly based guitar. I bet it’s going to be nice though…😎 I get some feedback on occasion from FF on what they are working on or asking my opinion on certain things…right now I know pretty little…🤣 A Firefly trait as it were…

@@JimmyStewart1 I agree, it WILL probably be very nice, even if it is a veneer-in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being better than the Harley Benton version. I think a rosewood veneer could look very attractive, but that high gloss finish on the HB version just doesn’t look right somehow.

@@zuperdee Have not seen the HB version, but heard from a few folks that it was just…ok…one guy said his had a lot of QC issues, but that can happen on any guitar so… Hopefully we will find out soon about the FF version….pics I have seen look killer…🎸👍
