Thank for your reply. When you first started your truck build you inspire me to start on my 95. Just never took a before picture. Looking back now that sucks.

I ordered these wheels in 16x8 for my F250 last night. Going to run LT265/75/16's. Getting tired of repainting stock steel wheels and LT235/85/16's lol.

Thanks.. I think the biggest single thing you can do to change the look of a vehicle is new wheels. With the lift I wanted new wheels and bigger tires, think it turned out just how I wanted it.

Looks awesome Fox! Hope that leak does not come back and hope you start feeling a little better man. I have chronic migraines so I definitely understand the week-long headache feeling!
@TheFoxShop9 жыл бұрын
Logan W. I hope that leak is taken care of! I don't have fluids back in her yet, just got home for the day and just don't feel like going down to work on her.... its almost 8:30... will find out the verdict tomorrow night. At least the RTV had plenty of time to cure right? LOL I had neck surgery 10 or so years ago and for the past 5 years things have been bothering me pretty bad.. but this headache is above and beyond what is considered "normal". Still have it, but its slowly going away. If that darn leak is still there.... I guess I get to do it all again... or take it to someone who knows the secret.. and will empty my billfold at the same time I imagine. She sure looks good though!! Right now reminds me of a song by the Beach Boys "No Go ShowBoat". Looks good, but just wont go. Ugh!! Eventually Ill get it all figured out.
@Logster1919 жыл бұрын
The Fox Shop You'll figure it out, that's for sure. Man I still can't believe how much of a transformation this truck made. Did you ever get my email by the way? Not sure if I sent it to the right email or if I just didn't do something right lol.
@TheFoxShop9 жыл бұрын
I dunno...sometimes I miss emails, I have several accounts and sometimes if I don't recognize em I skip over em. How long ago was it? Ill try to find it. yeah it is rather amazing, I bet most people would have sent it to the scrap yard, just because of how she looked...but I knew her whole life history, and it was mostly cosmetic. She has been taken care of, not beat on (too often LOL) and knew she was worth putting a good amount of money into. She isn't perfect, but like I keep saying, that was never my initial intention. I just wanted to get rid of the visible rust...just make her look a little better...that's all...but once you get started its really hard to stop. Its all worth it to me, I actually feel like this truck is a part of me. Sounds silly, but its always been there and never let me down. Have had some big up's and bigger downs in my life, but the one thing I could always rely on is my 1994 F150. LOL The one thing that has been solidly with me the past 21 years. Plus, my oldest daughter would get mad at me if I ever got rid of her. She was born the same year as my truck. I would love to pass it down to one of my kids...but Im nowhere close to WANTING to do that yet. LOL She is MY truck, and in my opinion better looking than any new truck on the road. You wont see another one just like it around every corner like you do a new truck. She is a truck! Not like trucks are these days. I bet a lot of them never even get put in 4x4 or see as much as a gravel road. It I fun to flip back through the thousands of pics I have taken along the journey. Here shortly I am going to take some time and put together a real nice slideshow of it all. One more thing that's almost crazy...I did every bit of it all by myself, no help whatsoever except gathering advise and so forth from chatting with people online. The only help I had was getting the box off and on...my wife and sister built the paint booth for me, and my wife helped me with the painting, the taping off for the two tone and such...but everything else was by me and me alone. Almost crazy...along with never doing any type of bodywork or paint before...goes to show that ANYONE can do this! I mean I am pretty mechanically inclined and good at figuring things out, but bodywork, paint, and all this... if you have any mechanical ability, anyone can do it. Might take longer but ya can do it. I think I spent more time researching and learning processes and so forth than anything else. Wow, I am really rambling!!! LOL

The Fox Shop Can't find the date when I sent the email but I know in the subject I said "Hey Fox, it's Logan from KZfaq" if that helps lol. I sent you some pics of my OBS trucks and talked about them a little bit. You're damn right, our trucks were when trucks were still cold hard American steel, tough as nails, and could handle damn near anything you put them through. Since I've owned mine I've never been let down.. stranded.. none of that. I just fix shit when it breaks and they just keep goin'. I understand the attachment - I don't even feel right sitting in or driving anything else. They bring me a peace of mind. Not to mention they are fun and easy as hell (most of the time, LOL) to work on. Sheeeeeeyaaat man your truck didn't even look that bad when you first started wrenching on it. You're right, most people do send them to the junkyard when they get rough around the edges, and it's bullshit! All of these trucks deserve a second chance, and your truck is damn lucky to have an owner who appreciates it! (I speak about these trucks like they have feelings lmao) All through highschool and after I graduated I thank my trucks for keeping me busy and keeping me out of trouble. You couldn't have said it better, they're about the only things that have truly never disappointed me. I definitely understand the unintentional excessive spending.. it's hard.. especially when you live 10 minutes down the road from Summit Racing.. trust me I never walk out of there without spending a couple hundred bucks. But, like you said, it's all worth it, and it's all part of the ride.
@TheFoxShop9 жыл бұрын
omg I a glad I don't live that close to summit, might as well sign over my paycheck if I did. LOL. She was looking pretty bad when I started, I mean it had rust pretty bad, but just cosmetic, and not nearly as hard to fix as most people think, just extremely time consuming, sometimes very frustrating and tedious...but the feeling you get when its "all better" cant be replaced by anything.

there is a rubber stop that mounts to shock mount that acts as a stopper( front) thats connects to the frame . i guess it being lifted it may take a modified version . somebody may sell one. my stock truck has them. the rear would be hard to bottom out because there is no load unless you plan on launching over railroad tracks with a load

Been thinking about getting the General Grabber AT2's myself. Have you ran them enough to give a good recommendation on them? I've seen a few reviews where some people have gotten 100k miles on them and still going, and I've seen others where they're junk in 10k. What are your thoughts on them?
@vegansaxon39627 жыл бұрын
Did you find out anything?...I'm wanting to put 35x12.50x15's on my old Wagoneer and I like the looks of the grabbers minis the red letters..I do not want tires that will wear out in 10k miles.
@helivesonforever7 жыл бұрын
Storm Within I ended up getting a set of Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires from a guy I know because they were brand new and only 100 bucks apiece. I've put about 4,000 miles on them and they are wearing through the winter compound quickly just as I expected. Eventually they will turn into regular all season tires and should last another 30k or so after they wear to that point. They have great traction but wear quickly. Maybe my next set will be the Grabbers, not too sure yet.
@vegansaxon39627 жыл бұрын
***Classified*** Thanks for the info..I am not wealthy and want the tires I purchase to last for years
@TheFoxShop7 жыл бұрын
Hey guys! Thought I would just jump in here. :-) I honestly don't have enough miles on them to be able to say one way or the other. I do like them thus far, with the exception that they really like to pick up rocks (that's why I used tintable bedliner along the bottom or my truck) I would think 100,000 miles is possibly a stretch. I think it all comes down to your driving style and what you do with em. I'm not sure if they are even rated for miles, but for some reason it sticks in my head about 50,000 miles... but I may be thinking of something else so take that for what its worth. I will say they ride nice, you get a little tire noise but not bad at all. For the price I think its a good buy. I haven't seen anything bad written about them. I would thin they should wear as good as anything else out there. Only thing I don't like is that they do like to pick up rocks, but probably any AT tire is going to tend to do that somewhat. Once the tread wears down somewhat (they do have deep tread) I would think that should actually help.
@helivesonforever7 жыл бұрын
The Fox Shop Thanks for the info. I was really leaning towards the Grabbers but I know the guy who runs the tire shop and he found the Blizzaks for me. Couldn't beat the price, lol. He even mounted and balanced them for that!.

Old vid though found it searching for gear info. I would like to know if you needed spacers for these wheel and tires so they don't rub on the arms? Plus what axle gears are you running for these tires? Were they even swapped out to a lower gear ration to move these tires and keep the rpms down?
@TheFoxShop2 жыл бұрын
Nope, no spacers needed and no rubbing... Although I don't have factory arms... 3.55 gears still with manual tranny... Does just fine actually. Would like to go to like 4.10 gears maybe, but really does just fine...side note... I do have true dual exhaust, no cats, and I'm always skeptical when people say they changed exhaust and power improved... It's 2.5" diameter, true dual, built it myself because around here nobody would remove the cats so decided to do it myself.. not HUGE power gain, but yes it really did help. New gears may be coming at some point, but I'm not complaining with the 3.55 gears. Hope that helps. 👍
@Tworko2 жыл бұрын
@@TheFoxShop Thank you, yes it does help. Mines a 93 F150 short bed with 3.55 open diff with a 302 and E4oD. I have 4.10s going in mine and I''m on 32's now . Will be going 33's which is why the 4.10s are going in....... though I saw your vid with 35's and if they dont rub I might as well go for them....I have a 2.5" lift............Was trying to figure out if the gears I'm putting in are good enough for the 33's, then saw your vid in the feed. .......Kept hearing from people to go 4.56 and dont look back with 34's/35's.....You're on 35's, 4 speed with the OEM 3.55 gears and you're saying their fine....going to stay with the 4.10's then....I too have dual exhaust though not true duals -short tube headers, oem cat, flowmaster series 50 dual kit. Been toying with the idea of the cat removal myself. Good to hear its s good improvement. Thanks for the help.
