yeah np, most people choose thrust gems in this ranged meta, including me (I have 50% thrust resist!) And you can tell immediately after the first arrow lands. On those people I get close and try to stun them with riposte to reduce their armor, and when I then follow up with explosive shot, it usually deals tons of damage as they sacrificed elemental resistance for thrust resist. Combined with attunement, and keenly jagged for the addition flat 10% damage increase from the mark passive perk, it gets nasty. If people have ele aversion+ele resist, my arrows themselves will deal tons of thrust damage, so it's tons of damage either way, just use the correct damage type for your current enemy, and make sure their armor is broken. I use opal in bow to further increase the elemental damage of explosive arrow. Having an elemental gem would increase my rapier dps, but I just personally prefer to see a single number 😆

Bow/Rapier has an answer to every other build except healers, but I don't feel like I deserve many of the kills I get when using such a powerful weapon combo. If bow/rapier get slightly nerfed (Maybe in brimstone sands?) it would be my favourite, and I would stick to it. But for now, the rapier/s&s bleed build was the most fun

@@chewi8560 Here's a little secret that make you stand out from many of the other tondo/flourish players: You can cancel the tondo animation with evade. What I mean is, if you dodge backwards, press tondo, and just as the damage hits the enemy, evade backwards. It's a really fast and safe way to stack. You can also do Tondo > cancel with evade towards enemy > instantly into flourish&finish

@@Darkill6441 Just in case you did not know, they are remaking all of the zones, replacing all quests with better ones that are voiced, making more interesting and unique places, and generally making the leveling experience feel much better. But they are only updating the level 1-25 zones with the brimstone sands update. (I've tried leveling on the ptr, and it was awesome) I will wait until all of the zones have been remade, so that I can experience new quests and locations all the way to level 60.

@@AmbrielNW I see I know majority of the community is going to the fresh starts as well as most the returning players so wasn’t sure if you were going to them to get some good content as well.

@Johnny Chapman If I'm in a position where I have enough time when the fresh start servers come, I will make another alt, some low level fighting high level(s) content could be fun!

What would you like to see more of? I could exclude 1v1 clips and only include a minimum of 1v2/3 in each clip, or I could spend my time hunting the good players, instead of letting fights happen naturally and only include fights against them. But the fights against them aren't that much more entertaining. 2:15 3:06 4:28 6:27 Are all players with a decent chance of winning 1v1s against me when I'm not inhaling caffeine. Or I could record more opr games and have more interesting fights to choose from. (These were from 2-3 games if I recall correctly) What do you think? Any feedback is appreciated! Most of my gear in this vid is below 600 gs, and by now most people have 600 gs, as it only takes a few days of dungeons+gypsum 🙂

EU - Nysa, everyone looks like a bot in comparison when you are using a bow 😆

For real. 7 people with 22-41 kills each... They were 2-3 tapping people with light shots lol. In my server the top kills is always around 15 or less and that would only be maybe 2 people in a game. This game was definitely full of newer/undergeared players.

@@J.Mas. You playing on dry tree? On Nysa there's rarely more than 1 group practising war coordination on one opr team, so most players are solo/duo queing without pocket heals. A light armor, 150 con player drops super-fast if caught alone by a musket, bow, assassin or bb. You see me fight the top score guy at 6:27 on his musket build, and if I did not have 50% thrust resist, or he was full health, I would have been yet another easy kill in 5 seconds. That particular game was close, and dragged on for a very long time, as both teams were almost 1k points. My usual score is nowhere near that high, that's why it's the one I chose to show in the video 😆

@@RollWhisTler I log in on average every other day to do 2 arenas and 1-2 opr for gypsum. So, it's a small window to see me on most days 🙂Sometimes I run opr all day if I have time during the weekend, so that's the biggest chance to catch me 😄

Oh, they do. It's just how powerful the bow actually is, lol. On targets without either resilient or thrust protection I've hit like 5k-6k. I focused on elemental damage in my version of the bow build, so on those targets that I instantly notice has tons of physical resist, I still engage them as my explosive shot along with attunement will hit insanely high. If you analyse the first minute of the video, you will see most of my shots hit in the 1.5k-3k range, it's all of the elemental damage from explosive shot that removes those big chunks of health

@@sailboattrash Then somethings not right. Are you attacking tanks? Making sure you draw heavy shots? Using elemental damage against physical resist builds? What is your heavy attack damage on a target dummy?

@@AmbrielNW target dummy damage is around 5 k without a dodge before the shot

@@sailboattrash With all of the procs from bow that damage quickly becomes 6.5k, along with having a bunch of mortal empowerment stacks it will reach 7-8k. Even more if I break their armor with sundering riposte. Having full thrust and resilient won't reduce all that damage down to 500, and if it somehow does, explosive shot will hit something like 7k from all of the procs as they have no elemental protection

😆 I'm playing on Eu - Nysa. There's no direct bow nerf I've heard of, but it is going to be more difficult to run away in light armor next update, as the dodge distance will be shorter for 1.5s after taking melee damage. Rapier is also losing the haste from evade. I think those changes are good, as the bow damage and how easy it is to land hits would be fine as long as they can't kite everyone

Yeah, tbh he was kinda sus. When he was playing musket, it was extremely hard to fight him, so I relied on bursting him down every time he did the shooters stance ability. He probably thought the bow was freaking broken, because he switched to bow the next match, but every time I encountered him when he was using bow, it was like fighting a complete pvp beginner. But it might be a case of him being a super good musket player that's only been warming rocks since launch, so he has no idea how to play other weapons, but that too, is sus.

I just had to learn and test it myself. Because I kept hearing I had to respect how hard it is to hit someone, so bow players deserve the damage. But after just a few days I literally felt overpowered 😆 Not going to stick with bow though, it's too easy, would get boring really fast

Fine? Lol it fair out dps all melee weapons in the game, with range, haste, and staggers on a ridiculously small cd. It's the best weapon in the game by far. U think my firestaff heaviest hit with 350 int hit for 4k non crit? No chance

@@boomdibam9823 Tell me about melee light then, what amount of stuns do they need to dodge before even considering dealing damage. As a bow you are free to chose between playing it like a pussy and run as soon as they get close or play like Ambriel and feel rewarded by your skills. The diference my friend is that melee dps is waaaay more difficult. I think that was his point. No need to argue that bow damage is op right now, period.
