Gotta set up your combos right and use rend. In med I should be able to hit harder

Player positioning. I did the sns heavy to cleanse the dots off me, then when the shield bash hit and both were CCed, the orientation was perfect for a heavy attack to hit both. On WH its rare to get multiple ppl with one heavy attack but if they line up right it's possible. The follow up attacks are not confirmed but it saves all my cooldown while giving heals and empowerment

It protects against you against AOE and backstab. So block is a 180 degree mechanic. Defensive Formation allows 360 block via damage reduction. When surrounded, you can still take less damage despite not having attacks centered at a 180 degree cone

I consideration it. And i like it. It has its issues though. Most scenarios, in 1vX, the player has the mobility advantage over the ATLAS build. That means disengagement is relatively easy allowing for healing. Heal debuffing will just make them disengage for longer to heal up but that's about it. The way to kill ppl is to combo them or get them when you out of Stam. If they survive with 5% health (as you see in many clips) you must start from the beginning because they can heal back easily. Plague will just make it so they spend more time running waiting for their pots. The crit multiplier on WH is low. You would need stopwatch to confirm backstab for consistency with plague crits so plague strike is better as a result for WH. You will need to build burst so that your combo kills them, leaving them unable to retreat and heal. It is an "all or nothing" response, similar to neuron action potentials. In group play this is different as you help your team. We will test it. Realistically, the new buff effects healers and may give the potential to kill them off

You won't be able to kill anything. Part of being a good combat tank is removing players permanently from the fight

Not with the 25% dps reduction. Trechant recovery is better. Crowd crusher tree also works good. Blood drinker is buffed next patch so I'll see if it was enough to make it viable but it really depends on if oceans peace is good or not.

Why do ppl keep asking me this lol. Let me break this down. For the current ATLAS build, Full vigor unless buffed and combined with invigorating will never be better than the enchant ward elemental aversion health combination named piece seen in New dungeon drop. You can remove dots with sns heavy attacks. Bleed resistant will now be included with physical resistance. You will never be able to run full vigor without giving up sturdy energy, accelerated resolve, Sundering Shockwave (defensive perk, weapon perk, health). Vigor is not worth more than a primary defensive perk like aversion or enchant ward or health. Overall the max you can have is 2 pieces to replace the conditioning perks but as I said the new dungeon is coming out with enchant ward elemental aversion combined which is unequivocally objectively better in every possible scenario. So no, the scope of what it counters is narrow. The duration it decreases the dots are narrow. Most classes can reapply the dots as easily as it gets removes (think spear or GS heavy). It just has little to no use unless you are building some niche set up to fit one player type and even then it still isn't better then Overall defense. I hope this answers everyone's questions about this topic. Just because mecrow made a video it about doesn't mean it applies in most combat scenarios for the ATLAS build. You have to breakdown what has the possibility of killing your build and you realize decreasing bleed and poison by a few seconds will only provide marginal benefits if any at all. It is the combination of both debuffs like rend, disease, weakened and dots that are dangerous. This covers 2 possible sources which can already be countered by sns heavy attacks (also side note, I haven't tested if it was patched, but if you heavy attack 2 or more ppl with sns you remove multiple dots, further decreasing the use of vigor). If dots are something you want to counter, invest in trechant recovery on sns so you can spam the heavies while maintaining health. Or invest in WH light attack debuff removal by 25%?

@@atlasfishmo if you could craft the perfect armor for this build, what perks would all 5 pieces have? would you change anything in this build video? I was thinking about +Shirking heals; +Enchanted Ward +Refreshing for all pieces. Once you have 4/4 refreshing, you could use on one armor part Sundering Shockwave instead of refreshing for example. What do you think about that? Elemental and thrust resistence can be added via runes or gems.

Arena is even easier lol. You fight 3 ppl max instead of up to 7. It doesn't compare in the slightest

This is a poor take and I'm sure Knightni and Savan would beg to differ. While both modes can have under geared and inexperienced players you are much more likely to run into them in OPR as it is the more casual friendly mode. No slight to you and your channel but the try hards are in 3s. @@atlasfishmo

@@knightsoftheroundgaming5298 I have a lot of respect for those combat tanks. They have a lot more experience in 3v3 then I do which allows them to 1v3 naked. In OPR I don't doubt they would pull off 1vX clips. I like OPR and they like 3v3 so there is nothing wrong with that.

3v3 has try hards but opr has try hards too. 3v3 is hard because of the map sometimes and heal debuff and if there us a healer you are screwed. But OPR is hard because of the numbers and the set up. What Atlas doesn't show is how long he has to bait these ppl in order for them to chase him to those blood trees. Both are hard and it takes a different skill set for each. Knightni is a beast in 3v3 as Atlas is in OPR. I like to watch them both.

@@atlasfishmo 3x3 builds are different and players play a different game. OPR's builds are different and people play a different game. The purpose of OPR is to conquer points and win the game. You don't win a game there by rating. 3x3 is about killing the opposition and that's it. That's why I'd like to see how Atlas does in a 3x3 game. I myself am an EU player and have tried tank builds they have not been successful on the EU side. Wars are still separate, but I don't see Atlas' build doing anything there.
