love that every one is allowed to learn other parts of the team aspect, master the field you took then can move on and learn another part of the car or team, that is a really really solid way to develop a rounded team, some one sick or cant solve the problem, there are other eyes and minds that can do the job, its standard to do that as practice if you a smart owner/manager, but seems like a really chilled environment to learn and grow always love seeing the pulse or oscillation of the flames out the pipes,

Hey, I’m in the UK, live next to our only remaining track that runs TF. Been following this channel for roughly a year now, I can’t believe he doesn’t have more of a subscriber base. Maybe he should do something with Cleetus McFarland, I know it’s not the same racing, but the guy has a massive following and seems to be bringing drag racing back to the masses. Would love to see the US guys come back to Santa Pod in the UK one day for a Top Fuel meet, Clay would be the icing on the cake. I also need to get my ass in gear and get over there to see it happen where it began.

@@steve5x565 Hi Steve . I'm Pete in East Anglia . Most of my drag-racing friends and I are getting infirm, so unfortunately SP is light years away for me but hey , that's life , for now . I got into US hot rod , custom , and drag-racing in 1956 . I was 5 and for some reason my dad bought me a few American magazines ! (?) I fell in love with the scene . Shiny engines (?) cool paint jobs , even on factory stock , oh the body-styles , especially when chopped , channelled shaved and frenched ! '25 Model Ts with multi-carbed small-blocks, Buick nail-heads , and 'small'-hemi DeSoto and Chrysler, Dodge, Caddy , and Olds . '32-34 Fords , 'chopped' and channed 40 Fords with wide-whites . Bonneville with genuine WW2 aircraft drop-tanks with blown flat-heads and streamliners .. Every vehicle sporting spun-ali full-wheel covers by Moon. Then the drag -racing . I was well and truly hooked . No 'roundy-round' stuff for me ! In '64-5 a family friend invited me to the 1st then 2nd International Drag Festival . I had the privilege of meeting the vast majority of my heroes . Don Garlits , the Moon drag-racing team with the front-blown Chevy fueller , Don Montgomery in his beautiful Baby-Blue '33 Willys coop before he chopped the roof , Ronnie Sox in his Sox and Martin pre-funny car A/FX Comet ,the EJ Potter the 'Michigan Madman' with his injected Chevy drag-bike . He smoked the slick the full quarter ! There were dozens in both . All of whom I knew through the mags . I met Tony Nancy twice as he was invited back . He had the Wedge , a beautifully styled and constructed rear-engined Blown Hemi streamliner . It was even featured very briefly in an Cadbury Wisp advert . There were hot-rods Sorry man . I got carried away . I love to keep up with Clay and his car and team . One thing that has always stood out to me is his personality and humility . It speaks volumes about a person . Clay, making these videos, you’re really doing the entire sport a huge favor. These videos show the real and mind blowing side of top fuel. The tv broadcasts don’t do it no justice man, but you are. I think a lot of people would agree with me when I say that. These vids are gonna draw a lot of younger people to the sport which is what drag racing needs in general. It’s one of the last bastions of true wholesome family sports. Anyway, thanks again! We’re all gonna keep watching and sharing. Forever.

Thank you for the awsome rides. I was fortunate enough to crew with Jim Bucher back in the late 60's with a close friend. I was fortunate to be pitted next to Don Garlits, who broke the mold with an unpainted chassis. He said every ounce counted. Bucher's car was a museum piece (in fact it is in Don Garlit's museum) while Garlits's car was work hardened. Truly a life experience which I will always remember. Jim later passed away but he left his mark! Thanks for the great video. By the way, Bucher used a big block Chevy.

Just love these videos. Usually get to Phoenix but cannot this year. Simply have to make it to at least one or two NHRA events this year. You guys have done more to promote the sport of drag racing than the sanctioning body.

Dangit. I aint never been in a race car but every time you show the video from the cockpit I just noticed I am slamming my right foot down like I'm driving subconsciously lol. I LOVE all the different angles of like the engine and take off angles etc. Thank you for the hard work. Oh and i feel you boy on the cookies. Give me a case of those girl scout Thin mints and let me eat myself into a coma lol.
