@@NewtoinvestingUlty is pretty simple. They buy high volatility stocks, and then sell covered calls on them to generate income. They rotate to different stocks every month or however long.

@Bullbear93As I posted, ULTY has a warning no other Yieldmax fund has. Since they are all high risk, that should tell anyone how risky this fund is.

Have they said anywhere what the target yield is they will be trying to get every month? Hoping it's around 30% and without a ton of NAV erosion.

It's probably going to be 35% dividend with around 10% nav erosion/year If i were to take a good guess.

Ive traded hundreds of covered calls. Trust me, chasing high IV/implied volatility and selling weekly calls against stock long term does not work out in total returns as much as you would think.

FEPI doesnt sell all weekly expiration cycles they go out to monthly expiration cycles and sell 5 to 10% out of the money usually. Most of these funds are literally 75% correlated with the same underlying's with the same style of premium generation, covered calls. @@EntrepreneurInvestor

Jumping into brand new stocks that have had no time to establish a track record is a fools errand, and anyone encouraged by this idiocy to follow down this rabbit hole deserves what they get. How about waiting a few years to see how this stock fleshes out, then I'll take another look and make a decision then based on a long track record of at least two years, though my preference is for a five year history.

Literally the whole point of it. And they can be added to, reduced, or removed from the basket all together. This is a much better option than a single stock locked strategy like with their other funds.
