Im 52 years old and from ES Long Beach. Long Beach is rite next to Compton. My 2 daughters live in Compton with there familys. 2 of my sons were living in Watts, South LA. They moved out some time back though. Anyways LA county is not even close to how it was in the 80's and 90's. Gang injunctions, Rico Acts kicked in, PD and the County theyve really put it down on cats. Even if you hit a wall up / graffitti on a business the business has a matter of days to remove it. Theres laws with this now. They will get fined by the city or county now. I got a grip of pics of gangsters and graffitti when I was young in ES Long Beach. Looking at my pics and looking at the neighborhoods now its completely different. It doesnt look like a ghetto anymore. Anyways going to LA County now is not like what you see in the older gangster movies. Colors, Boys in the Hood etc. Those are completely different times.
