Beautiful film, I feel like I am home watching it. The modern world is like a foreign country. We have fallen so far...

America in it's heyday. I remember snowy Christmas days, sunny summers and early TV shows. We knew most of our neighbors and our doors were unlocked.

Women certainly were beautiful back then. The blond on the Empire State building observation was amazing with her contoured arms and shapely torso but did you notice the woman crossing Park Avenue? Her walk was so sexy and in a timeless sort of way😊

I heard from a Late Relative (who actually grew up in Portland, when his family emigrated here) That Times Square was actually getting pretty Seedy...even in the Late Forties. They didn't have the Hardcore stuff yet, but there were He-She shows, etc. I bet there was a Lot of Burlesque, Too.

I didn’t know NYC in the 50’s but have great memories of the city in the early 70’s when it was in decline but still a real working and exciting city unlike today. RIP NYC.

I just got back from an 8-day trip to New York City and found the whole city to be terrific. People were quite helpful and congenial as well. And I'm generally more of a small town person.

It's very sad to think that I was born in 2001, in this horrible generation of degenerative people, I always preferred the traditional, the classic, civilized people and the truth above all, we live in a false world of appearance, excessive social networks on the cell phone in hand of people where everything has become liquid and futile, nothing has its value, but everything has its price, friendships, relationships, there is no longer honor, the fidelity of marriage, men and women committed to forming a strong family and educating people strong for the future, we are falling towards the abyss or we have already reached it, we live in a lost generation that will continue to create weak people

You’re a damn fool if you think everyone was getting along in the 50s. Jim Crow laws still existed and black people were lynched regularly.
