New York Islanders Captain Anders Lee Took Home a Major NHL Award, We Explain His Impact

New York Islanders captain Anders Lee won the King Clancy Memorial Trophy on Wednesday for his leadership on the ice and in the community. This is a well deserved award for Lee and we discuss what he does in the community and his Jam Kancer in the Kan charity. Lee has helped raise money for college scholarships in honor of the late Fenov Pierre-Louis who passed away at the age of 17 from cancer.
Plus, we discuss an honor for former Isles captain Kenny Jonsson and where the Isles fell on a survey of the most hostile fans in the NHL and the answer may surprise you.

Can't dispute the fact that Lee struggled this season. As I said on the podcast, I can like Lee as a person and think he's been a really important part of this team but still think it's time to move on from him. Thanks for the comment, Christopher.

Perhaps this might boost his value…. Hmmm then again likely not! Hey! We have a bunch of great guys in the locker room! But just because they are nice guys and Islanders does not mean they should not be traded or deserve lifetime contracts. Stop falling in love with players with expired shelf life. If this team does not get younger, bigger, faster, more skilled might as well pencil in islanders in the bottom 12! Islanders were last in the league on the penalty kill! What a disgrace! No Doubt Lee is a Great Guy!

27 is a good guy good award for lee. Even tho truthfully if they gave out an award for thievery the player not worth his production in $$$'s 27 would be a strong candidate for that one.
