I love when my team is underestimated...he he he

The problem with the Hurricanes the past few years was goal scorers and their goalies being injured in the playoffs, having to relying on backups. Hurricanes went out and got some additional goal scorers and are winning games by 5-6 goals now just 1 or 2. They finally have 3 healthy goalies in the playoffs, Freddy has been on fired and Kooch is doing great overall this year. Besides addressing those two concerns, the team just has some much depth on offense and defense, they aren't relying on 1-2 superstars to carry the rest of the team.

If the play can remain 5v5 then I think Canes will win. If not, I would give the edge to the Rangers with their power play.

Chytil coming back would be huge for the Rangers. Also goal tending is not even, Igor is way better

If the Rangers can handle Carolina's forecheck, maintain strong goal-tending, wear them down in the Canes zone, and score 5-v-5, they should be in good shape! LGR!!!!!!

I believe you guys are way off here. Goaltending is even? Rangers’ top 6 is superior. You’re correct on bottom 6 depth. Rangers have the edge on defense. I don’t see this series as “close.” The only team the Rangers will have trouble with is Fla. They manage to get past Fla, they win the cup. And yes, I’m a Rangers fan, but this is not a biased opinion. If I was a betting man, I wouldn’t think twice about it. Rangers in 6, possibly 5.

Islanders had 2 fewer wins and were also a substantial negative goal differential. They also sucked and they easily should have taken 2 from the Canes

Rangers have to score goals to win and I believe the Canes are better equipped to contain the Ranger's offense than the Rangers are to do the same vs the Canes. I predict the Canes will actually outscore the Rangers over the course of the series - but will it be at the right times? Canes have the ability to step up their game to a level beyond the Rangers that is absolutely magical when they choose to do so - but will they be able to make that happen when needed? Anderson since coming back fro illness is like a rejuvenated stud - can he keep it going? Svech is high rated underated - you read that right. He's even better than people who rave about him say he is and is absolutely magical at key times even moreso than Aho can be. And he is playing in THIS playoffs. When the Canes Dmen (boostered by their derth of strong two way forwards) are focused and intentional they can shutdown any team in this league. They have answers for the weapons in the Rangers arsenal moreso than the Rangers do against them. Canes have the edge and it theirs to lose. But they do blow it lose games they should win at times. Lavi is a coach who can get in Rods head and understand and potentially counter what Rod is doing - Lavi has the coaching edge and it could be factor in stealing games. Sesterkin like Bobrobski can be invulnerable at times and can steal games (it was Bob who swept the Canes last year not FLA in my view). BUT - Carolina is significantly better equipped this playoffs than last year. Its going to be a great series but Canes SHOULD win it. I think you guys basically said the same stuff in your analysis.

Nice video! I will say this: I agree that Rempe isn’t a game-changer, at least on paper. However…he changes the game in other ways. Other teams won’t take as many liberties with the top Rangers players knowing that Rempe will destroy them if they do. At the very least, the idea is in their head. I think when you look at the stats, the Rangers record is way better with Rempe in the lineup than when he’s not not. My second thought is: what we saw with the Rangers in round one is not their full potential. They have another gear. On the flip side, (and again this is just my opinion,) I think we saw Carolina’s best. I think Aho could maybe step it up, but there are a few Rangers that haven’t even woke up yet. We shall see! #LGR

I’m a Carolina fan, that said the Rangers are solid, this series is a toss up in my view. Whoever wins the series will almost certainly have to play Florida in the conference final, in which case I’d probably have to pick Florida to take that series, they seem very thorough.
