The vocals on this song are phenomenal! This song was originally created by Oliver Nelson in 1961 and was all instrumental. You also must listen to the original. Beautiful composition by Oliver Nelson. Absolutely beautiful!

The instrumental original version was written by Oliver Nelson in 1960-61 & 25 years later words were added to this 'milestone jazz hit'!! Like Herbie Hancock's Butterfly in 1974 & in the early eighties lyrics were added!!

My favorite American Music (Jazz) Vocal Group and it is obvious that they know their stuff and work very hard at it to perfection. Their arrangements are impeccable especially as heard in the 1991 GRP "I Wonder as I Wander" recording that is one of the few tunes (besides this one) that hits my resonate frequency and shakes me to tears. As a Jazz woodwind player, that has sung in the past I wish I could use my voice like they do to sound like musical instruments. God created human's with a voice to sing praise to Him. They do it the best I have heard today. There have been many such great musicians that can sing this way. New York Voices echo all of these great musicians of the past but with a new twist and always exciting.

The always awesome Caprice Fox and Sara Kreiger on vocals. Laura Kinhan came on board in 1993, and NYV didn't miss a beat.

Seems a very difficult piece to pull off live. This group of extra talented voices ( instruments ) , cant be rivaled. Just great!

@@adoris864so I must be a racist ......and so is this group for no affirmative action representation. I suppose and know the great Ella did scat as a solo act primarily. This group is a one off. Pity such a nobody as you are feels the need to display your complete failure and self hatred for all to see.
