I'm a New Zealander born here 1940. I love my country as a patriot, i am very proud to see all these young people from many countries, singing our anthem. What a diverse and Multi cultural country we are. God bless New Zealand.

Just so proud of our youngsters. Multicultural, enthusiastic, look at their faces! So proud to be a kiwi! Multicultural... Asians as well as Maori, Pacific Islanders and Pakeha. They know what it is to be Kiwi!

This is soothing to hear, as "God Defend New Zealand" was first thing that came to mind after yesterday's horrible event in our beautiful little country. I don't understand that this happened here. Kia Kaha.

Beautiful anthem of a beautiful country. I’ve been there 3 years ago. Really enjoyed my stay there. If I have to recommend one country you have to visit (If you have the chance), then it’ll be New-Zealand, no doubt. So much beautiful nature (The Fox and Joseph Glaciers, Milford Sound, the Redwoods), beautiful cities to visit (Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown, Christchurch). And beautiful special places (the living Maori village, near Lake Rotorua).

Compared to Germany, never saw such a big group of people with such a variety of nationalities being proud to sing the anthem of the country they live in. Hope the spirit of New Zealand once might spread around the world

This is beautiful to watch..fills me! So many cultures enjoying what it is to be democratic and standing for freedom. Brings a tear to the eye to see the next generation so passionate and in love with home. One of my favourite national anthems along with S.A. and Wales..I will never decide which one! Much Love New Zealand from a Welsh/Englishman. XXX ( If i ever escape i would head your way no doubt - that is if i'm aloud!!!) Its like the best looking/strongest/happiest people on earth merged to make New Zealand - freaking amazing! Goosebumps and tears from the other side of the world...Love you.

@@tedmolu9456 controled immigration is fine,,with the mass immigration that's happening,,nzders are being locked out of a right to their own house's,,etc, because of the people coming in from country's who have a much higher payrate, therefore more money in their pockets,,al nzders are ending up at th bottom of the heap for home ownership,,and now, walking past the benefits officers,,seeing line's of immigrant's,,just doesn't seem right,,just my thoughts,, worked all my life,50+ yrs,, seeing my taxes going to people who haven't been here very long,,not good,,

@@tedmolu9456 No the opposite actually, we love it when people want to move here but there are a lot of things that need to be sorted out first like Housing and Pay so it’s not all roses but the people and country itself is really good.

I really like New Zealand’s national anthem, and especially that they sing it in language first. I also love that the haka can be performed by all.

I'm so glad that not only is the indigenous culture respected in New Zealand, but the national anthem puts the indigenous language first. In Canada, we don't even have official versions of our anthem in a non-European language.

Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not Canadian) but don't the indigenous people of Canada speak a huge variety of languages? I imagine that would be near impossible to include them all in a national anthem, whereas the Maori people have one single language.

It makes me embarrassed when I watch young people sing their National Anthem with such pride and obvious enthusiasm and LOVE for their country. I live in Northern Ireland and as part of the United Kingdom, our National Anthem is 'God Save the Queen'.... Most young people would be hard pressed to remember the tune, never mind the words of two verses.... 😔😔😔😔
