Ravishing Rick-Rude true that wish I was back living the past was fun no internet.... appreciated what our parents did for us respected our elders and had good outdoor fun and adventure.... with a cost of a bit of sweat .....welcomed into everyone's homes... now days people close there curtains and are rude... the struggle is real.

1990, when it was nigh impossible to call overseas on Christmas Day because there were only so many international lines and once they were all in use you couldn't get through.

it was , for context, most of my and my friends clothes were made by our mums with a sewing machine. a sewing machine was a device that allowed folk to make clothes because buying them was a lot more expensive back then

You're so clever and very committed. A lot of people would give up saving all of the videos but you've done really well here. Kiwi Nostalgia at her best. Even Jacinda Ardern herself would stop and take a stroll down memory lane. 1990 the year i was born. Briscoes must be a pretty good business if they can hire somebody to represent them that long lol

That's my 45 year old sister's favourite ad to this day. "DONT GET CAUGHT!" (and she simply can't resist...) They brought it back briefly in the early 00s I believe

Shows how popular Australian series The Comedy Company was. You’ve got Kylie Mole doing the Amiga ad then the next one is a rip-off of the character Uncle Arthur. Mark Mitchell who played Con the Fruiterer is in the Le Tan ads.

Mum got me Reebok Tennis Pumps ( as worn by Micheal Chang) in 1992 from the US. I loved them.I wad Still wearing them for tennis into first year Uni in 1997 with duck tape covering the holes at the front.

Commodore Amiga 500 one of my fave computers a legend.Had those Turtle watches the Rebock Pumps were getting very popular and the start of Sega Master System which i had one.TV 3 was a year old u saw the legend Billy T James and Little Richard rip those top entertainers and Jimmy Nail and the 80s vibes coming off i miss so much it's sad and saying these ads rule the crap we get now and on You Tube interuption

Not so sure about that. It was the age of aggressive neoliberalism reforms. Not so innocent. I was a young child back then, but am nown experiencing the consequences of those days. Out of control house prices and rent, high power prices. High Student loans and lack of non-degree jobs, Dismantling of state owned assets. Fortunately we are slowly reversing it and neoliberalism is dying
