We spent the day at Waitakere Ranges Regional Park and visited Kitekite Falls, Karekare Falls, hiked the Mercer Bay Loop, and ended the day in Piha to watch the sunset from the Tasman Bay Lookout.

reminded me of my youth, I hiked all aver wiatakere's as a Scout back in the late 60's, the trails back then were simple mud tracks and no stairs or fenced lookouts. Did a 3 day hike and camp for requirements for queens scout there.

I miss this place ! I thought I’d see your video to see if it’s still the same it still is :) i grew up in this forest ..American commentary taints the whole scenario to be honest

I went back to NZ 8 yrs ago now and a lot of the bush on wiatkere ranges was now houses, very disappointed.
