Lucy Nekomata Piper is such a effective team with great synergy with Lucy applying Nekomata all the quick assists she wants and Piper giving Assault stacks to Nekomata

I personally really enjoy Corin as attack. Saw shredding stunned enemies is very satisfying. I use her with Von for easy stuns and Rina to buff Corin’s pen ratio and she quite literally shreds. Since everyone got her for free she is definitely an automatic swap over Billy.

8:00 with soukaku (and all characters actually) you don't have the wait for the whole animation to go through, you can press switch at the same time as her skill and you will switch while she will stay doing her banner thingy, enemies will keep targeting her too

Did you look at Billy's ult and chain attacks? They have some of the highest multiplier in the game. His chain attacks are higher than Neko and Soldier 11. His ult fully buffed is the highest in the game by a mile. The way to play him is to stack chain attacks and burst during short buff windows like Nicole's massive 40% Def shred for 3.5 seconds and Rina's pen that lasts like 6 seconds. If anyone has played Honkai Impact 3rd before, you'd know that being able to do your damage in such a short burst is very valuable due to how short buff windows are.

Billy is that one character that you want to be fun to play and good at the same time, but it just doesn't happened

Corin will be an end game Goddess because of her crits, multipliers, and crit damage

Billy 'not hitting things' with his playstyle is an actual skill issue that shows you don't understand how to redirect his attack by moving in crouching fire stance...Does mastering it immediately make him a top-tier character? Not really, but it's not fair to list it as a negative if you aren't even playing the character properly. Billy's niche really is AoE support, but he can deal sustained single target damage as well, just not both at the same time. You would mainly want him on a team with Nekomata if you intend to build her around Assault proccing. So the team would look something like Neko > Billy > Piper (or Corin) Fundamentally disagree with Ben being ranked so low. He does a lot and his playstyle kind of trivializes a lot of the content because you only have to guard a single tick of damage in order to get the benefits of his special. Even on point, he has massive Aoe, burn anomaly buildup, decent damage and stun buildup. He's somewhat team-agnostic because everyone can benefit from crit rate and HP shield, but works really well with Soldier 11 or any other burn-inflicting unit.

Corrin is a very underated character and me personally. It's all about keeping the enemy in place. And you don't actually need a stun char to pair with her. If you can keep the enemy still corrin can actually fill up the daze bar very , very quickly. The strongest team I've managed to test right now for her is corrin , piper , and Rina. Rinas off field can actually stun in itself and can help super fill the daze bar. Piper acts as a support DPS to corrin while also helping her fill phys anomaly which corrin can also do on her own very quickly. Piper just makes it faster while also focusing damage to corrin. If you know how to play corrin and utilize her kit to the best she comes to par with the other s rank agents to a certain degree.

i'm very glad you factored in not just what the character provides to a team in a vacuum, but also how the existence of other character affects their placement too. thanks for the extra thought into your tierlists. really looking forward to how new characters will shake up the best characters right now.

I think the point of billy is to be a sort of sub dps. With is core passive buffing his ult damage by 100% making it get to like 8000% (imagine that with nicoles weapon and def shred granted it is an AoE) at the very last rank, his purpose may just be to swap in clear trash if its there stack that passive and swap to the actual DPS while also consuming the ults unless the main dps is sitting on a stronger one. Some bosses have flunkies that can really annoy the shit out of you or waste your time if you try to clear em so billy gives you back up. Likely running a double dps support team with your main DPS to the right of the support for the quick swaps. Its niche but I think he has potential. As for bear with koleda, his usefulness doesnt matter as he gives my girl a different ult animation. For teams you run it with the fire bat girl support. Koleda with Ben does enough damage from what I've seen once you factor in the Lucy's buffs and minions and his crit buff. Plus man she just perma stuns stuff if she is the main field hog. Reminder that bens crit buff transfers to the little boars through lucy's core passive.

What you said about tier list makers is very true lol. It's usually fun to listen to why they place characters in specific tiers, but at the same time they're not to be taken seriously. It's still, as you said, way too early to begin deciding who is good with who and who plays the best in specific settings since this game literally just came out mere days at the time of my comment and I'm still getting through the story myself.

Was lucky enough to get Soldier 11, saving up for Lucy in the shop, gonna hurt my pulls for Ellen but it is what it is.

Ngl, Corin feels like she’s a stunner in an attacker’s skin. Her attacks in my experience stack daze so fast, especially with how many hit points they have. Add this with her fast decimal gain, she’s a really good sub dps that can be a ult battery and I look forward to people finding out she’s actually good in a month’s time.

I don't understand why people make individual tier lists based on unit synergies. Just make a full team comp tier list instead then because your final product is just flawed off the rip otherwise since it isn't actually about the individual characters.

Remember this is a very early game tier list; hyperinvest in your best attackers first. Ellen, and then possibly Corin, Anton, Billy, whoever can deal a ton of damage in the stun window is going to carry you. I don’t mean forget about everyone else though. Attackers should have 10 more levels and weapons than the rest after level 30

This was actually a good tierlist which is rare on KZfaq. I wish Billy was better he's super fun to play. I also think corrin is being slept on. Neko probably T0 with a few dupes but team comp is lacking. Right now I'm easy clearing everything with soldier/ben/Lucy haven't had anything remotely challenging that team yet at level 40

I feel bad for Billy, I'm still gonna get around to building him someday when I get more resources just because of how cool his design is lol

I guess I am lucky to have pulled lycoan but I really wanted nekomata as her very fast roguelike playstyle has a nice feel to it.

I happened to pull Lycaon at 50 in the standard banner, and also Soukakou copies from the limited banner, and Corin is the dps of that team, with Lycaon engaging and breaking, then Soukakou grouping and freezing them, and Corin making ice sculptures off them I really like her multi attacking normals, it triggers the crit rate increase on hit buff so easily in hollow zero, and I get the execute so often when I need to waveclear

I used to play a game called Onmyoji Arena and I mained a character called Satori where her whole kit revolved around hitting baseballs and not missing and Lucy instantly became a fave of mine and I got lucky I pulled her all the way to 6 without spending too much.

I appreciate that this list recognizes what a tier list is. It's how characters stack up against the current state of the game.

I got Rina on the 'standard' banner (I'm still learning the right terminology) and I got Anton, SOkaku, Lucy and Billy in a single ten pull on the event banner and I got piper on a single pull as well. there's so many. I have never won so much before in one summons session

i have fun with Billy so far, such a great character design and gameplay. Hopefully he will get more love in the future.

I actually think that we should rather focus on team performance in teir lists instead of ranking individual characters, make a team with whom so ever they synergize with and put that team up the list, this will give f2ps an idea to how good their current characters can be with a specific other character instead of searching through the tier list for a good character that doesnt have synergy or a bad character that has insane synergy.

Both me and my sister pulled the wolf man first, she loves him most of the standard characters so it’s nice to see he isn’t cold garbage. Corin aside, pretty much all my favourite designs/playstyles are seemingly great as of now, so that’s cool. Time to build Lucy and exclusively use her until a five star summoner releases.

One thing to note is that the long attack animation may not be a bad thing, due to the nature of quick character switching, if timed correctly you could have two characters on the field dealing damage, but more testing and practice is needed to see if it is a viable strategy

Only just gotten around to playing yesterday and managed to get Ellen (who was a big reason for me wanting to try the game, love her design). Ended up with Soukaku dupes(m3, i think you can get a free copy also? So m4 i guess), and Lycoan was my standard 50 pull guarantee, so i kinda lucked out. I did actually really want to build a Koleda/Ben or Neko/Piper team but the only other 4 stars I've been getting are Soukaku, Billy and Anton.

With Billy, I just spam dodge/slide attack to hit everything. Benefit is that I rarely got hit, and I can clear mobs easily.

Ben's counter gameplay is just too fun to pass up since it can also counter red flash attacks

That's a good tier list, almost same except with corin. Its random ass team but nicole, corin and lycoon are so fun to play

came here for soldier 11, hey, i want ellen so badly, but she's the coolest character imo over all of them, and i absolutely didn't knew you could time her attacks to always be fire hits, it adda another layer of skill which i love so much

Personally I think tierlists are less valuable in this game, because team synergy and their ability to chain is way more important. Doesn't matter if you fill your team with S and A ranks, if they can't chain, the team will be much weaker. Relic/data disk set synergy matters as well.

How serious is the endgame for Zero? Like do i actually need to build specifically or can i just do whatever? Cause im actually enjoying it a lot so far even though it’s so easy, and I wouldn’t mind paying more attention to team comp and builds if I had to. As of now I don’t see any reason to ever spend money, it’s really easy and there’s barely any characters.

Piper with her unique W-Engine and some good physical Disks is pretty solid

I think Ben's placement doesn't feel right atleast from my usage. Its true the need for sustain unites isn't high at the moment, his main usage from his shield being useful in Hollow Zero with shield buffs. But Ben being able to be ran without Koleda & rewarding good play by providing a crit rate buff to the entire team is very strong imo. Not to mention if you happen to get his W Engine, the damage he can output is actually pretty darn good, and will only get better with investment. On top of that his stun is alright for not being a stun unit himself. One last point is that in situations where it may be harder to dodge having the potential to reduce or negate damage entirely can very strong, while also not being hard to pull off. I can understand his placement but for me personally id rate him on the upper half of T1. Love the content keep it up!

When I've reached 30 pulls I got Nekomata and shortly after Soldier 11. I didn't like any of those two while testing, so I've decided to start it all over with a new account. Now I got Lycaon and Soukaku. It's like my dream team !

Is it just the earlygame or I feel like there's a lot of aoe waves? Whenever I play theres always 3-4 enemies at the time so when I play single-target characrers4I always gets hit. Thats why Billy is my current main along with corin

My current favorite team is Anby, Nicole, and Neko. Anby breaks, straight into Nicole resistance shred, and then Neko shows up and kills everyone

I agree Billy Kid isn't the most powerful single target damage character, but he has something hidden going for him. He's fun.

i feel like ben is a high skill ceiling unit and belongs in 0.5 tbh. he has a stupid 5000% multiplier on his perfect counter followup lol. his shield also has a 16% free crit bonus (which in this game honestly is rare). if you pair him with koleda, they become a sort of very flexible, comfortable, all purpose team with good survivability, good damage (if you can perfect counter with ben constantly, and can stun the enemy 24/7. also a note, unlike in genshin, zzz has much more aggressive enemies with telegraphed movements and sound cues, his counter also has much more forgiving timing. if you like a counter playstyle, i think you'll like ben alot

Ben is more akin to Beidou imo. His hyper armored counters can deal decent damage if you time it right.

I hope they make a character like Bayonetta that can make time freeze or someone like Flash that moves so fast that time slows down!

Im using Corin/Anby and Lucy and omg these three feel so good to play maaan also,lucy is a pyro xingqiu with a mini bennett sooo cool

Having Rina as my 1st 5 star put me in a bind since it's harder to plan around a support than a dps. But pairing her with anby and corin is going great so far. I carefully clump together enemies with rina, then use her ex and trigger QA with anby, which guarantees shock and daze to most enemies. Corin is there to basically clean up with her chain and ex hold. I tried anton instead of her but I can't get my rotations right with him.

Oh and any blade characters that use sword. Can deflect bullets by sprinting. Bullet doesn’t do much damage but *USING NINJA RUN TO DEFLECT THOSE BULLETS* are cool

I play Billy with movement. I don’t use Crouching Shot for too long because his strong shots are locked behind his neutral evade (the one where he just steps backwards) and second dash (pressing dash after the slide and shooting or pressing dash after the dash attack and then shooting again) and his Special EX shots.

Ive been runing Rina, Anby, and Anton since im graceless, and honestly its putting inna lot of good work. Especially since i have C1S1. Im not mad about it at all, yknow. Immso glad 2 of my ssr's have been a dupe and a weapon. ANYWAY. Recommend above team its real fun

I'd like to make a small addition for Soldier 11. The fact that you can get Fire Suppression on Soldier 11 for a limited time by triggering a Chain Attack with her, using her EX Skill or using her Ultimate is a godsend for people with shitty PCs like me, it's already hard enough to get the timing right when the game is running properly, imagine how difficult it gets when you can barely run it at 30 FPS.

Reminder to everyone that tier lists don't matter. Use the characters you like the most and you'll get infinitely more enjoyment out of the game than if you were to constantly change the inevitably ever shifting meta. If you like a character's design or personality, use them. Don't worry about how good or bad people will tell you they are, because at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter. Trying to min-max everything constantly will only become more and more headache inducing, and you'll just burn yourself out on the game, and likely spend a ton of money in the process.

Got soldier and neko on my first 60 pulls on standard. Not sure if ima go for Ellen yet or wait for the next banner

I hope they rework Billy's kit because he is currently the most interesting character (personality-wise) in the game and many people loves him.
