They are precious. Did not realize they were so large at birth. Neither that they would eat solid food almost immediately.

I think they are such defensless vulnerable little things, and the mums don't make a nest, so if something happened to the mum they could still survive straight away.

I had guinea pigs when i was kid, and i did take care of them by myself, their babies sure are cute as heaven ! But i never knew they could give birth to 5 babies !

The demand is huge, there are homes for three times as many, I am overrun with requests, and they all have new families to move to already! Yes, the place is being taken over by guinea pigs, what a nice thought!

I can’t believe their eyes are open a couple hours after birth. That’s crazy. I also can’t believe that they’re eating food right after birth. That’s crazy!

They can see straight away after borth, just have to dry out, and they are ready to go. They don't build a nest so it is gogogo from the moment they arrive in this world.

My daughter's guinea pigs are just having their litters too! So cute! She'll be needing a new buck this year and wondered if you'd be willing to swap or sell her one?

That would be a possibility, yes. These litters are all taken, so it would be the next one, hopefully arriving in summer!

Do you sell them as just pets, or do you also sell them as food (for both human and reptiles)? I always wonder about the market for them in different places: in South America they are seen as a food animal. Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central WY, USA

We have no trouble finding new loving pet homes for them, not even need to advertise or find other purposes for them. They are all taken and will move when weaned in another few weeks. But yes, I understand they are part of the diet in some countries...but I think they are bigger there, our variety would be too small to bother I wold say...

Not sure what Turnip would do exactly if he got his nose close enough, I think his instinct might kick in and tell him to hunt and catch, but if I was there he would listen and just look and lick. Best solution to just have him look over the fence though, to be safe.

There's a big demand for them as pets at the moment, they all have new homes already and will move once they are weaned. Lock down here since Christmas, so a lot of people have the time and need for a little pet.

They are all sold through our local pet shop, she had bookings when they were only just conceived. A lot of people get pets in this lock down, and who could blame them, apair of guinea pigs certainly brightenes the days during this forever lock down!

They're ate in Peru. Animals don't need to benefit humans though.

They're one of the animals that children can interact with. Some start with guineapigs and work their way up to bigger animals..
