As is well known, Han is a very confident individual. Ppl with his personality (ISTP) generally consider themselves to be better than most, to be smart and thinking logically and so they gauge their abilities logically and become very confident. Han said this was his problem so many times where he had problems cause of his pride and he is also the member who was behind most big fights/arguments in skz. He also wanted to be the best rapper and lyrics. Han said in live that he believed he was better than Changbin. But when Changbin released Streetlight, Han said he was utterly defeated and realised he is still not on Changbin' level 😭

Changbin said that while writing the song he intended it for the listener to find comfort but while making it it gave him comfort as well. So its a win win for all ❤ streetlight will always make me cry 😢

Lovestay is a really emotional song. Hyunjin created this hashtag which could be seen under his each IG post. Felix started to use it a lot when Hyunjin was on hiatus. That was a spark of hope. Like he was saying: Hyunjin will come back for sure, don't forget him. Since then he used under his each post. And in 2022, some Hyunjin Stans (akgaes) called him out for using this hashtag, saying he has no personality and want stealing everything from Hyunjin. He stopped using it right away. That's kinda sad. Hyunjin created lovestay but all of skz love stays. Felix gave us hope of hj comeback through this hashtag. Now he isn't allowed to use it anymore

Streetlight - there is a project in Australia called the Blue Tree Project. A project to spread awareness of mental health. There was a young man who was very depressed and painted a tree blue as a way to try to reach out for help, but he ended up taking his life. You'll see Changbin use blue paint in another video when you get to it and it's the same sort of thing, showing mental health. This song hits hard for me as I went through a tough time (divorced, on my own without any family that live near) and I was often depressed and for a little while even suicidal. I've worked through it and am in a much better place. This song brings me so much comfort, I can't even say. This song is my absolute top song among all their songs as it just means so much to me. Stray Kids (and BTS - Jin's Epiphany) helped me through so much. Changbin said that Hyunjin's vocals are also in the song, but I think it's just adlibs as it wasn't enough to earn a credit on the song. He is good now. He said writing this helped him so much and he wanted to share with Stay to help us too. There was a live with 3Racha that they listened to this song together. Han said that after listening to this song, there was no way he could beat Changbin (I think he still tries tho hehe) as the lyrics were just so good. I think the lyrics are super meaningful translated, but makes me wonder how the korean is... I need to learn korean! Han's face was also fun as he basically stopped functioning and just sat there, open-mouthed, listening to the lyrics. Very powerful song. I have always thought that when Changbin looks up in the mv for Streetlight it's Bang Chan singing sort of symbolising that Bang Chan is Changbin's streetlight, the one that Changbin can rely on and talk to when he needs someone. So he's not alone anymore, he has someone to rely on.

Hey, just wanted to share this from Anaise loves music (YT) on the inspiration for Streetlight -- This song was written by Changbin when he was feeling lonely and piled up. He felt like he couldn’t tell anyone about his frustration. Though after writing this song, he felt he finally shook everything off of his mind. Do you ever wonder how the streetlights feel? Standing alone in the streets, couldn’t do anything but shine for others. When the daylight comes in, it was forgotten by people since it was not of use. When the night falls, they brighten up the road for the people on their journey. But, sometimes, if they feel tired, they feel like they just want to rest and have a night for themselves, not to shine for anyone but themselves, people would just call them selfish and complain about it. At the end, it would only be replaced by a new one ‘cause they were labeled as “broken”. Once you get to know Changbin a bit more this song lands even harder because of the role that he plays in Skz. The members often refer to him as the "core" because he always tries his best to be there for all the members. 😢 Chan and Changbin’s 2 kids room and Changbin and Seungmin’s 2 kids room episodes will explain a lot.

oh lovestay,, when it came out i cried for like,,, full half an hour if not more. at work. 😭😭😭 it was such an emotional thing after such a difficult year as a stay,, #lovestay was originally just a hashtag hyunjin used in his instagram posts and he created it. and then during his hiatus we stays and members used this hashtag a lot since we couldn't mention his name on social media cause every stay post with his name immedatly attracted antis ;___; so we called him lovestay boy instead to avoid negative attention

Close is a song that Han wrote inspired by the first scene of "Close" movie. He said that the lyrics are about feeling somehow drawn and fluttered by a stranger somewhere, wanting to be close to them. With lyrical melodies and soft melody rap, he made the overall composition of the song and tried to express his favorite genre of music as much as possible 😊

LoveStay has a very special part in my heart. It makes me reminisce those days when Hj was away and everybody was having a hard time but it's during a competition so we have to continue fighting to help skz win. Every wins & losses Stays never forget to include Hyunjin for we all know the members and stays dedicate the trophy most specially to Hj who couldn't join them. It was hard. But now, we're on the brighter days and looking back it makes me so emotional.

The way my only regret is that you guys post late from where I am but it makes me just as so much more excited to look forward to the reaction for the next morning or the weekend!! I have to say this: I never listened to 'I hate to admit' bc Chan is my ult and I was honestly always scared to listen to it bc I knew it would destroy me.... I've heard snippets here and there but I never wanted to listen to it (I wanted to but you know what I mean right?). I now did listen to it with you for the first time and it was beautiful. I cried (of course), almost sobbed and really enjoyed watching it with you guys. It's now my favorite song I will not listen to 🤣 except for when I wanna be destroyed again haha ❤

Hyunjin said he wrote and composed this song during his hiatus, cause he was missing stays so much, he's also the creator of this hashtag, it's his sign, his every post on Instagram consist only of this one hashtag, he doesn't even use his own or group's name anymore, he's just full of love for stays and nothing else matters for him.

So basically the difference of the two versions (mv and new lyrics video) is that each song that was already released previously has been re-recorded and remastered. So there are little differences like for example in Streetlight in the new version you can hear Chan's adlibs at the end more clearly and same for Han's "babe" adlib in Close. Some things about the songs: - the blue paint on the plant in Streetlight refers to the blue tree project, a project about mental health and depression awareness. - Maknae on Top... when it was first released on twitter you would see everywhere fandoms making edits about their faves' maknaes with this song. - I Got It is full of korean word plays and slang, I recommend you to check itsAndyandJus translation video. An example is "I Got It" sounding really similar to the Korean word "agari" which means "shut up" (korean slang). Oh god I love these songs, especially Streetlight and I Got It, two of my favourites ever

i haven't watched the rest of the video yet, but i'm so emotional after your #lovestay reaction that i have to comment on that first haha. listening to that song (especially reading the lyrics too) makes me cry without fail. as many others have said, this was a sort of gift to fans at the end of a year where stays spent half of it without hyunjin. fans theorize that he wrote it during his hiatus, because he said that it was a song months in the making. i started stanning skz in 2020 and am a hyunjin stan, so the scandal and hiatus period was really difficult. throughout the entire hiatus, i personally was so worried about how he was handling all the hate and hoping he knew he was still loved despite it. #lovestay was also released on vlive, and for fanclub members, afterwards there was a new years message from each of the members, and in hyunjin's, he talked about some of his thought process behind the song. in that message, he said "i realized i was loved in all seasons," which is why he incorporated seasons in the lyrics a lot. i cried for an hour after that because i was so relieved that he knew he was loved. for me, #lovestay is a song where hyunjin is saying "thank you for loving me, i love you too." and of course everyone else did an amazing job!! the mention of second #lovestay at the end of the video is a reference to their fanmeet they had, which was the first time they got to perform in front of fans since covid started. they sang #lovestay at the end of that fanmeet, and naturally it was very emotional. if i remember right they all cried and i'm sure stays did too, i know i did hahaha i still have to watch the rest of your video, i know the other songs are crazy emotional too so you guys are so strong for getting through them all in one go haha, but #lovestay is really important to me, so i wanted to share some extra info! love your reactions and i'm excited to see the rest of your skz journey 😊if you guys listen to #lovestay again after you've heard all of their songs (and watched more of their content) you'll cry even more, trust me haha

streetlight has been my favourite skz player song since it came out. the lyric about him begging someone to ask if he was ok one more time is so sad, it shows the desperation he has and the fact that people probably won't because he is always like he said, a streetlight in the night. people see him as happy just because he has his light on for others. the way he was talking about putting a bandage on so quick it falls off because he's afraid of people seeing him in that state literally breaks me. i feel as though this song was made for everyone, whether that be you are someone who is dependent on others and haven't realised that that person may need that help back or you are the person who everyone relies on and don't have a scapegoat to let your feelings out. It's really reassuring that we stan these boys who share the same problems as everyday people, and aren't afraid to talk about it. idols are almost fictional to some people, they think they can't have problems since everything is handed to them once they have status. skz showing us that they have human emotions and are willing to talk about them makes me indescribably happy. this song is the reason I lend a hand to anyone who might need it. we stan the best men

He started taking vocal classes way before rap classes, but thanks to his coach he excels in both now! 8:11 You have no idea how much I cried when I first heard #LoveSTAY. Gosh, it was ridiculous, I had never been more of a mess before that moment. The song has so much love in it, but also so much weight. Hyunjin said that he wrote the lyrics during his hiatus, which was a terrible time for all of us. I'm so grateful for having these amazing 8 men in my life. 18:35 I'm laughing so loud, I LOVE the transition from LoveSTAY to ZONE lmao. ZONE is one of my absolute favourites within 3RACHA's releases, it's just so damn cool. The line "I look up ahead, nobody, nobody can stop me" gives me so much power, it's ridiculous how good it is. 19:41 Not gonna lie, just right now I gasped and screamed in a super high pitch "WOAH! CLOSE!". Didn't do anything besides this, now I kinda feel embarrassed. I love this song so freaking much, I'd say Jisung never misses lol. He said that he made this song after he watched the "Your Name" anime as he was super inspired. The high-pitched tone in the chorus can be tricky and Han even said himself (a year ago, so the info isn't quite updated!) that it can be sometimes hard for him to get it from the first try. Also, another tricky part in performing a song live is that, well, you know, a singer has to know the lyrics. And Han forgets his lyrics A LOT. It's really hilarious, like on one of their 2022 fansigns he had to write his "VENOM" verse on a sheet of paper and Chan was holding it for him while Hanji was rapping. 32:15 Y'all will need tissues. "Little Star/ Miss You" is a really great❤ and emotional song😢. It got me crying so much because it reminded me of mine and I wasn'teven there because I was on holiday, I just remember receiving a call from my mom and I cried so much looking at the photos to the point were I just wanted to go back home😭. And going from that song to "Maknae on Top" is a mood🤣🤣 with I.N being the most spoiled Maknae😍

Hello!! Hope you’re both doing well! Have you started a concert countdown yet?! Ughhh that’s why I don’t watch the video for #Lovestay. Makes me cry every single time. Streetlight hits on a totally different level too. Zone’s my hype song. I listen to it a lot in the gym. I Hate to Admit was the first solo song I heard from any of SKZ. Chan’s emotion….cry😢. It’s on alot in the house. Pretty sure it turned my husband into a Stay. Lol Apparently the word play in I Got it is pretty insane. There are quite a few songs Han has written that are written from personal experience, Run, Slump and Alien to name a few. (Some of my favorites). A find his songs that he takes inspiration from elsewhere very interesting. (Wish You Back and Chill are two that I can think of off the top my head.) Just because a drama or film inspired a song, doesn’t mean he’s not relating to those lyrics somehow, even if it’s indirectly. And thats he’s able to write such deep and personal lyrics. Any thoughts on this? Can’t wait for part 2!

I believe these are the songs that are too personal for the main writers/composers to make the whole team sing it and I love that they found a way to release these. I like how Han's "close" really hits my heart and reminds me not only the memory of my first love but also how it feels. It feels like I'm reliving the time when you met your first love. It feels good to remember the good old times.

1. #lovestay made bawl because of the title, Hyune writing it during his hiatus, the struggle of 2021, and the whole montage (plus Felix was singing ❤). 2. Zone was that one song I casually heard from SKZ and had me hooked with Changbin and getting shook over Jisung's many voices. 3. Close is like a more romantic and cute song compared to the ridiculously produced "Wow" by 3racha (same idea of "Noona, do you have a boyrfriend", but this one is inspired from a movie called Closer, I think?). 4. Streetlight broke me, it mirrored so much of Changbin's character and vulnerability as the dependable "hyung", and Chan was even singing at the latter end as another Hyung, too. (connecting this song to Lonely St. is like a sequel coz in that song it went like "I'm still running", even if it is lonely being a streetlight. The image for Lonely St. was also a screw being under a streetlight, so I suppose it really is connected) 5. I have mixed feelings with I hate to admit because on one hand it IS painful and links to alot of controversy (theory like it was for their ex-member) and on the other hand, Changbin and Han whined like babies, annoying him to play it for them during their vlive. So I'm crying and laughing because of these two memories lol 6. I Got it really showcased Han's wit and ever-dynamic rap flow. Translators struggling to encapsulate the wordpuns, the sarcasm in the lyrics, and the mocking voice fx at the end to slow down for those who says "fast is not good rap" and that haters are just fans who spend time following up on his performance LOL. (and ofc, in my part, it's chipmunk Jisung being sassy like it's Alvin and the Chipmunks hahaha) 7. Miss You had me so focused to his soft vocals that I didn't even think much about the video angles, toys, and the actual lyrics until twt wrecked me w/ the song description 😢 (and now I'm tearing up with you), it's honestly sweet when your cat came as if on cue just when the song was ending. 8. and Maknae on Top really served you with a dance song HAHAHA (the egg at the end honestly references to a game where they have missions and his was to protect a dozen of rotten eggs. Lee Know immediately got them and broke them at the sink...which had I.N so so frustrated LMAO--oh and that game in one of the SKZ variety show is peak-comedy coz it was also Jisung's legendary theif moment HAHAHA)

I'm not 100% sure, but I remember "I Hate to Admit It" is a song that chan wrote about woojin when he left the group. so... yeah, he hurt them all~ there's nothing published saying woojin did the things he was accused to, but Chan in Chan's room has told so many things that you can assume he really did it, espeacially 'cause Chan is always reassuring they are 8 and will alyways be 8

I'm late so not sure if anyone mentioned it before but in I Got It there's word play with I Got It and the Korean phrase agarri which means "shut your mouth" so when you read that verse it's actually "shut your mouth, close it, it stinks" 😅 And for the last part of the song he mimicked the criticisms that other people have been giving them in that chipmunk voice Also fun fact they released this song just after the mama awards. In that year mnet made them attend and perform at the awards ceremony for 3 minutes to promote Kingdom but didn't even nominate them for any awards. Chan had a vlive after they released I Got It and he said that stays will all know who this song is directed at.
