Years ago, a few Jehovah's Witnesses rang my doorbell and I politely respected their courage for going door-to-door for their faith. Well, I must have gotten on a list and would get several more knocks on my door afterward. I wouldn't answer.
One day, after working until midnight, I had just gotten out of bed to eat some string cheese when I heard some minivan doors being shut. I peaked through the drapes and saw another visit coming, probably to talk about spiritual warfare of putting on the Full Armor of God or the Breastplate of Righteousness. I was cranky, not ready to put on my Big Boy Pajama Pants of Theology and greet them. So I didn't answer and formed a bad opinion of JW's. Felt kinda bad about it.
For this visit, I decided to knock down previous biases and walk into the JW's home. It wasn't what I imagined. Some quick thoughts:
1) Family atmosphere. Everyone was talking with one another.
2) Ranks up there as the "Best Dressed" church I've attended. Men were in suits, women in dresses.
3) Music selection had a "marching" feel to it.
4) First half of service was a 30-minute talk. Then remaining hour was from The Watchtower (JW publication used for every single globalwide Kingdom Hall). The gentleman at the podium felt like a sergeant with a second-in-command. The second would read from the Watchtower, then the "sergeant" would call on people to expand.
5) The "church" is the congregation, not a building. Witnesses STUDIED for this and had DEEP insight. Truly felt like a cross-examination.
6) LOTS of prophecy talk, comparing Daniel's visions and John's Revelation to wars, pestilence, and COVID-19 (oh yeah, masks were required). These are supposedly fulfilled prophecies that Armageddon is close according to JWs. Lots of talk of a prostitute identified as Babylon the Great from Revelation 17:5.
7) Didn't sound like JWs believe Jesus resurrected physically. More emphasis was on Jehovah, which is the proper name for God.
8) 1914 was a BIG year. It was the first year of WWI, which connects Daniel's vision to the American/British alliance. Also, when Jesus reached kingly power.

It’s interesting how different our experiences are. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and once when they came to my door and gave me things to read, I offered them a Book of Mormon and they accepted. (I thought I'd scare them off.) One lady actually read a bit and was happy to find the name Jehovah there. So, we had some great discussions (I know wich topics to avoid if I don’t want to argue.) They also invited me to a special service during easter week. My experience was very positive. The people were very friendly and making sure I wasn’t feeling alone. I know they’re seen as very controversial and there are some points of their doctrine that I can never agree with. But I always enjoy discussions with them.

I had neighbors when I was a kid who were JWs. I went to church with them once. I also had door knockers over the years. One lady asked for a donation because her literature hand outs were not free to her. I read through this goldish little book she left with me. The lady that visited with me was nice. I invited her in. She shared some scriptures with me to support their belief that when we die our physical life AND our spiritual life are “snuffed out” like candle. I shared with her scriptures I knew that pointed to our spirits as eternal. She made the comment that I knew my scriptures well. I was not attending any church at that time. Being inactive at church was a part of my journey back to Jesus which led me back to church.

@@InvisibleJesus1919Sir, God wants you and me to be safe. JW are warning people about Armageddon. God is not slow. The apostle Peter wrote: “Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” (2 Pet. 3:9) He has set his deliverance of mankind as due to occur in this generation. (Luke 21:32) God, with all power in heaven and earth, is in no necessity to make promises he cannot fulfill. One of the apostles of Jesus Christ said, ‘God cannot lie.’ And the prophet Isaiah wrote: “Trust in Jehovah, you people, for all times, for in Jah Jehovah is the Rock of times indefinite.” -Titus 1:2; Isa. 26:4. 10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. ( Psalm 37:10-11 ) Daniels prophecy mention that in the very last days the worlds most powerful country would be divided and it’s happening right now. (Dan. 2:41-43) 41 “And just as you saw the feet and the toes to be partly of clay of a potter and partly of iron, the kingdom will be divided, but some of the hardness of iron will be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with soft clay. 42 And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom will be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 Just as you saw iron mixed with soft clay, they will be mixed with the people; but they will not stick together, one to the other, just as iron does not mix with clay.

The "Marching song" was based on one written IIRC by a JW while in a concentration camp. It's been revised a bit through the years. But obviously for that reason has some historic feelings for them. THE REST of the songs though, recently, have got very "protect the church leaders" North Korea style. (I speak as someone leaving because I've found out about the "Church" factually, and it differs from what they present on the outside) "Through Jehovah's prophecies". They got you. My first response is Eph.4:4-6. The bible makes it clear that there's only one true religion so, actually, anyone that professes Christianity and takes it seriously, should be willing to defend their faith by using the Bible. JWs believe that they're the true religion. I'm an ex Catholic(now a JW). I've researched other beliefs and that's the conclusion that I've come to. That explains why we don't accept pamphlets or other literature.

@Ripcord I understand. We also believe there in one faith, one baptism. And the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes it's the true church restored church that Jesus Christ has placed on Earth and set up beforeascendingback to heaven. In 1 Thessalonians 5:21 It says, "Prove all things; hold fast that which is should we not test our beliefs and to know it is true in what we believe in. We can also test other beliefs and if they are good why not hold fast. We believe every church has some truth and good in them. Therefore I don't mind going to other religions and seeing the good in it. It test my own faith, and most of the time, it makes my faith stronger. In our 13 article of faith, it reads. 13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul-We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these thing. I'm also an ex catholic

Nebucanezzar's dream was a waking dream or vision. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that God's prophets were given these divine "dreams" from Jehovah as it foretells or warns of a future event pertaining to God's new Kingdom being ushered in by Jesus Christ's rule. Because God's Kingdom is foretold through the prophets, Nebucanezzar's dream is emphasized among Jehovah's Witnesses as foretelling the events surrounding the time of Jesus Christ's rule beginning in 1914 as Satan was thrown out of heaven. Paul, the last living apostle to have witnessed Jesus Christ's physical ascension to heaven, wrote letters to the congregations explaining Jesus Christ's resurrection. In the book of Revelations, the apostle John who also witnessed Jesus' physical body ascending to heaven, accounts of further visions pertaining to the political and religious conditions of the world leading up to Armageddon or God's Great War that will rid the earth of Satan and the demons. Babylon the Great is both a physical place and a figurative place that Jehovah's Witnesses describe as "false religion" therefore any religious entity that does not worship Jehovah is considered false religion according to the Scriptures. Rather than speculate during worship, Jehovah's Witnesses encourage everybody in attendance to closely examine the Scriptures through a personal Bible study.

That's funny that you mentioned the attitude changing a bit after you told them that you had been visiting other churches. I had Jehovah's Witnesses stop by yesterday and when they were trying to set up a return time I mentioned that we could meet after I get back from church on Sunday. I felt like the older one wasn't happy that I already go to another church. He didn't seem really motivated to nail down a time, so I guess we'll see if that was a dealbreaker for them. I think it comes down to the belief that all institutions are basically corrupt, so me being in another church to them might mean the devil has a lot of power over me already.

hello Tim. Well I’m a Jehovah’s Witness and they won’t have any issue about you going to another Church because we are use to people we meet on our door to door work attending their own church. We take the position that we are Gods only earthly Channel. I might as well put that out there. In the bible Jesus foretold an apostasy would take place after him. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 “Let no one lead you astray* in any way, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction.“ From the 4th century AD Christian religion diverted from the teachings of the bible and absorbed pagan beliefs ultimately creating hybrid teachings that don’t accurately reflect bible teaching. The immortality of the soul and hellfire just a few examples. So we welcome people from any religion to join us. But we are trying to get them to stop paying attention to teachings of men since that’s all you will get at other churches since they are all mens channels. Only Jehovah’s witnesses are Gods earthly channel. So don’t feel bad, but please, come visit our Kingdom Hall

@@tvtimewithtim Good points and all Jehovahs Witnesses have some differences. I’m sure you aren’t one of these people sir but I’m just highlighting the way that there is mileage within different Jehovah’s Witness personalities. Our main objective is to encourage people to look into their bibles and understand their bibles in a way that is tethered to reality. @@Amandaaa2244 that shows true dedication for sure. Jehovah's Witnesses are required to preach always. There's not a set duration for when the quota is filled. If you are a witness and you stop preaching then you become "inactive" and are considered spiritually weak. Actually 607 B.C. is inaccurate, Jerusalem fell between 586 and 587 B.C. This is stated in virtually all encyclopaedias and supported by a vast volume of historical information. The Watchtower claims this figure is wrong and that Jerusalem was destroyed in 607 B.C.E. This is highly significant for Jehovah's Witnesses, as if Jerusalem was not destroyed in 607 B.C., then Jesus rulership did not commence in 1914, nor was the Watchtower Society chosen by him in 1919.

It was interesting to hear your thoughts on people not being spectators in a Kingdom Hall and actually participating. However what would be unclear from 1 visit is that participation is heavily directed and constrained. To participate you literally have to parrot or paraphrase the answers and points given to you in the study material, be it the Watchtower article or current study book. You cannot question, ponder or articulate any thought that is not in line with the material of focus. It is not like an educational participation, it’s purely a demonstration that you agree with the study leader and material.

Yes, it's almost impossible to really know the JW religion in one meeting. Almost everything they do has an apparent side and then the real side. Often, someone is so taken by the apparent side, that they don't mentally and psychologically acknowledge the real side until they are already committed. Then, backing out of the religion can be an entire nightmare in itself. Ironically, spoken as being "a loving arrangement of Jehovah."

I am very impressed with your effort to understand such deep Bible Prophecy after attending 1 JW Meeting! I remember when I first started going to the JW meetings, I would get these really bad migraines because I was trying to understand so much material and scriptures in such a short amount of time. It's a lot easier for me now. There is so much confusion around Jesus. The Father is God Jehovah, Jesus is God's son and our savior. The Holy spirit is God's active force/power. The Watchtower Theme changes every week, so it's not the prophecies of Revelation every week. 1914 World War 1 is significant because that's when JW believe that War broke out in heaven(not just earth) and Jesus (like a Warrior King) evicted Satan and the Demons from the heavens down to the earth. And the events on Earth are fulfilling the prophecies from the Gospels about the Last days leading up to Armageddon (God's War to end all Wars) where Satan and the Demons(the angels who chose to follow Satan instead of God) will be abyssed for a time. We believe Jesus is the Appointed Judge and executioner. At Armageddon Jesus and the Faithful angels/Faithful Slave will vindicate God's name, clear reproach from God's reputation and then put God's will into action on earth. Where all will have to know who Jehovah is and acknowledge their Creator. I know many have a lot of negative things to say about JW, but they are just quite ordinary, humble humans trying to share the Bible Truth as best as they can as imperfect humans. We living in very stressful and uncertain times, so having a sound and regular Bible Study routine is actually very comforting in these times. Not easy, but still comforting. The Bible is a Divine Book and makes more sense than what the politicians and celebrities are preaching. Why are we as a Human race having another resurgence of the Nazi ideology. We said 'Never Again' and yet in recent years there is an uprising. They did a Documentary about the Modern Nazi regime in Australia, quite alarming stuff. With all the advancement of human technology, why are humans not learning from History and paat wars. We truly do need Jesus to step in and sort all matters straight. Greetings from New Zealand!😊

Hi, I'm a ex-JW, I grew up in that organisation. I can answer some of your questions on the beliefs and the doctrine. Jehovah witness believe that all the other religions are part of the "false religion" or "the whore of babylon". Based on their own interpretation of the book of revelation. The importance of Daniel prophecies can be traced to some branch of the adventist movement in the end of the 19e century. This idea entered the doctrine with the founder of the group that'll become the Jehovah's witness, Charles Taze Russel. His interpretation of revelation point that 1914 would be the day of the final judgment and the destruction of "babylon the great". There wasn't any armageddon that year but there was a first world war, so the prophecy was linked to that event to give it some weight by the successors. The absence of cross and the role of christ. Jehovah's witness associate the cross with idolatry and therefore Babylon the great. They believe the christ was executed on a pole and not a cross. According to their interpretation, Jesus christ was resurected physically after 3 day in his tomb. After a few prophecies and appearances he was raptured. And now reign in spirit over his kingdom wich is the Jehovah's witness organisation. That's why their "temples" are called "kingdom halls". I hope I answer all your questions! Great video!

He had a name written that no one knew except Himself He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. In recent times they have eased up a bit on the rules surrounding their insane doctrine against blood transfusions. While it's good that fewer people have to die now, I feel terrible injustice has been done to those who might have lived if this added revelation or 'new light' had been given at the outset. Worst of all is the death and suffering of children who were denied treatment because their parents made the decision for them. Similarly, damage was done in the third world where this teaching undermined the work of medical personnel. I remember a retired nurse who with her husband, a doctor, served as medical missionaries to New Guinea. She told how long it took her and her husband to begin to win the confidence of a tribal group to the point where they would allow them to treat them and their children for a host of treatable conditions, especially eye infections that frequently caused blindness. One day the natives suddenly stopped coming to the clinic and actively avoided them. It took a quite a while to learn the reason. JW Pioneers had arrived in the district, In amongst their message they tried to teach them about the evils of transfusions. Due to the difficulty of translating this point, it was understood as: "beware of the people at the clinic who might use a needle to put a devil into you". Because they didn't believe that white people would lie about other whites, it both terrified the natives and left them angry to think that they had been misled by the health workers. The JWs failed to establish a congregation and moved on but the damage had been done. After all those years she was still emotional at the needless suffering that resulted from these well-meaning but misguided JWs.

As Jehovah’s witnesses we obey everything, without regard to whether it can be considered harmful in the context of a modern world. When you are reading your publications, notice how many times they say undoubtedly or likely or other weasel words. Then follow those “proof” scriptures listed and read in context. They are often not really the proof they claim.

@@amydurga8448 The number 144 000 is contrasted with a great multitude which no man was able to number. This proves that their are two groups very clearly. It would be a contradiction to give a specific numerical figure such as 144000 then go on to compare that with a multitude which cannot be numbered, to claim they are the same group of saved people. Clearly we are dealing with two distinct groups of people. Also the bible is clear that those of the 144 000 have been bought from the earth. Revelation 14:3 “And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to learn the song except the 144,000 who had been purchased from the earth.” What we teach is what the bible also teaches. It’s not something we have sneakily cooked up to mislead people. The context is obvious for these bible verses. It’s Christendom that cook up deceptive interpretations not us. It wouldn’t suit Christendom’s religions to admit to there been a little flock because most of them make the immortal soul a central teaching, despite that been in exact opposition to what the bible actually says.

Kudos for examining various churches. Always interesting to hear someone's honest reaction to a Meeting. You asked if anyone could help clarify. I'd be glad too. Jesus commanded his followers to undertake a worldwide preaching campaign. (Mathew 28:19-20) "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations" Perhaps they had a good conversation with you and were following up on potential interest with a goal of offering a Bible study. Likely it was the same person visiting you. Otherwise, there is a goal of visiting each house in an area once a year. Paul and other 1st century Christians also preached from "house to house." Acts 20:20 If you attended 7 months ago, then that was a few months after in person Meetings resumed and shortly before Covid precautions were lifted (including masks). Sounds like you went to a pretty deep study session with BOTH the Public Talk and Bible Study being focused on prophecy. That's uncommon. There are hundreds of subjects for Public Talks which vary each week. Similar for the Congregation Bible Study. Here are recent lessons: www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/?contentLanguageFilter=en&pubFilter=w&yearFilter= The Awake! is less deep and on topics affecting people today. www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/?contentLanguageFilter=en&pubFilter=g&yearFilter= Many are regarding aspects of Christian personality and family life. Still, Jesus instructed his followers to "Keep on the watch" (Matthew 24:42) and so consideration of Bible prophecy is important and can provide a strong hope for the future when God's Kingdom under Christ begins ruling over the earth and restores the earth and humans to what was originally purposed. Matt 6:10 "Let your Kingdom come, let your will take place . . ." Here are good explanations regarding what God's Kingdom is and what it will accomplish: www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/about-gods-kingdom/

About the ressurection we believe Jesus resurrected with a spiritual body like the one he had before going to heaven he was able to materialize but that is how he would appear and disappear infront of his disciples and why they would'nt recognize him and he would need to be a spirit to be able to go to heaven 1 Corinthians 15 explains this, we also don't use the cross anymore because from our study of scriptures we found the word in the Greek the bible was translated from is Saturos which is one upright piece of wood and never refers to two pieces together in other words it's a Stake not a Cross and also we view carrying the symbol Jesus died on as Idolatry, as for our songs there are many different sounding songs some are millitary sounding not all there are very different ones depends on what the subject of the song is about

All I would say it is a shame you happened to choose a meeting discussing really deep spiritual things. Suggest (if you really want to know) contact perhaps an elder from the congregation and ask for a sit down explanation, using your bible and you will see exactly the interpretation that God gave to Daniel regarding Nebuchadnezzar and the statue. A tip to all those who do not want JW's calling at their door - have a sign stuck to your door 'No Religion' they will walk. Also if there is something you are not sure about or feel is not right, after the meeting you can approach any elder to voice your concerns.🥰 This is why it is good to prepare beforehand to iron out any concerns about the material being discussed. Regarding the songs or hymns that are sung in the kingdom hall, we use a songbook with 151 songs and hymns that address different topics, some speak of Christian qualities, others speak of Jehovah, Jesus, paradise on earth, of the Witnesses, and of the coming kingdom, when they speak of the kingdom, yes, they have a tone similar to the military because for us the witnesses the Kingdom of God is a real kingdom established since 1914, that is why our meeting places are called the kingdom hall.

It had a song called “follow the warrior king” and also “a victory song” that sounded militant but also many that didn’t sound that way. Many kingdom songs based on the Hebrew Scriptures may sometimes sound militant since war was quite central to Old Testament times. For the record David I think you are doing a good thing testing out these different churches to find out how they compare. THE BIBLE teaches that Jesus was MADE As Lord and Christ and as Son (ACTS 2:36, Prov 8, HEB 1:5), CREATED/PRODUCED/INSTALLED (Prov 8) , COME INTO BEING/MADE (Mat 21:42 - egeneto) and GIVEN LIFE by the Father - John 5:26 and it uses TODAY (Heb 1:5), and uses future tenses and is a prophecy in Isa 9:6 (Isa 9:6, - WILL BE) . If you are called MADE AND CREATED AND GIVEN LIFE, and NEVER CALLED in the BIBLE as Creator or Maker , then you are A CREATION. ALL FROM THE BIBLE From the Lord was this (this is referring to the chief cornerstone who is Jesus) , the word WAS is egeneto (made or came into being) - Matthew 21:42 and the exact Greek word used in John 1:3 - MADE, egeneto (came into being) - JESUS WAS MADE/CAME INTO BEING FROM THE FATHER , yes, Jesus was MADE/CREATED!, See also Acts 2:36, Heb 1:5, 1 john 5 Isa 9:6 the word Prince in the Prince of Peace means PATRON ANGEL also Leader. WHO IS the ONE LEADER that we have? Jesus. Now, that same exact Hebrew word was used for Daniel 12:1 which is used for Michael the Archangel. So are you saying there are MANY LEADERS now? JESUS IS Lord! His Lordship was MADE - See Acts 2. Who is the Sovereign Lord? He is different from Jesus as mentioned in Acts 4:24, 26, 30 There is no term God of gods or Creator or Maker used for Jesus.Acts 4:24 - who is NOT Jesus and who is called Sovereign Lord - "one accord to God and said: “Sovereign Lord, you are the One who made the heaven and the earth " Who is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from Jesus who is the Anointed and the Sovereign Lord's SERVANT as Acts 4:30 mentioned "through the name of YOUR holy servant Jesus.”" Acts 4:26 - one against Jehovah and against his ANOINTED one. GOD IS NOT A LITERAL TORTURER. GOD is LOVE. He only gives eternal life to those who exercise faith in him and his Son (John 3:16, John 14:1) and NOT TO WICKED people. The Wicked will VANISH AND WILL BE NO MORE. Psalms 37:20 How many is Jehovah? Trinitarians say there are THREE Jehovah. What does the Bible say? There is ONE JEHOVAH and NOT THREE JEHOVAH. Deut 6:4. - “Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah WHO IS THE STAR IN NUMBERS 24:17? That is Jesus. It is the same Hebrew word used in Job 38:7 for the morning stars. So as Jesus is called THE BRIGHT morning star (REV 22:16) so also are the other morning stars(angels). So Jesus is the CHIEF Angel with the archangel's voice (1 Thes 4:16). Jesus is called Prince of Peace in Isa 9:6 and the original Hebrew word for Prince means PATRON ANGEL which is the same Hebrew Word used for Michael the archangel in Daniel. Jesus is the High Priest and the High Priest is NOT GOD himself. GOD DOES NOT WORSHIP HIMSELF : John 4:22 -You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, because salvation begins with the Jews. Jesus Included himself IN WORSHIPPING THE FATHER. ONLY A CREATION WILL WORSHIP GOD. If the holy Spirit is a PERSON then now you have MANY PERSONS IN ONE GOD. REV 5:6 - seven eyes, and the eyes mean the seven spirits of God.SO NOW YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL SEVEN PERSONS IN GOD. Who is the cause of Salvation? Both GOD and the lamb are saviors, Rev 7:9-10, even Jesus needed to be saved by the Father from death as the Father is the SOURCE OF LIFE AND SALVATION , Hebrews 5:7 & John 5:26 - THE FATHER GAVE THE SON LIFE. Does the Bible called Jesus MADE AND BORN? Yes! JESUS is the Messiah and a CREATION BY GOD! He is called “BORN OF/FROM GOD”. (1 JOHN 5:18) Hebrews 1:5 showed that Jesus was MADE/BORN (orig Greek-gennaw). Also it says "he will become my son" Notice, FUTURE TENSE, WILL, so before that the SON DID NOT EXIST. If you are BORN AND MADE then you are a creation. , Hebrews 1:5 mentions I WILL BECOME HIS FATHER, so Jesus relationship with the Father has a BEGINNING, When ? it was TODAY. TODAY implies a beginning. When did Jesus become SON? Even before Jesus became human he is called SON , Prov 30:4 Was Jesus GIVEN LIFE? He is called the firstborn and beginning of the CREATION BY GOD (COL 1, Revelation ) Also john 5:26 mentions that the FATHER GAVE JESUS, THE SON, with LIFE. If Jesus was given LIFE OR EVEN ETERNAL LIFE, then Jesus does not have life or eternal life before those were given to him. Notice, the Father was NOT given life. JESUS was MADE LORD (ACTS 2:36).JOHN 6:57 - Jesus Said “ I LIVE BEC OF THE FATHER” SO JESUS’ LIFE was dependent on the Father and his SOURCE OF LIFE/Eternal Life IS THE FATHER as John 5:26 states as well. 1john 5:1 - Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God,+ and everyone who loves the one who caused to be born loves him who has been born from that one . who is this that HAS BEEN BORN from that one? That is Jesus! 1 John 5:18 - Jesus is called BORN FROM GOD JESUS IS BORN FROM GOD, 1 JOHN 5:18 - We know that everyone who has been born from God does not practice sin, but the one born from God* watches him, and the wicked one cannot take hold of him . WHO is the ONE BORN FROM GOD that watches us and protects us and who does not sin? JESUS CHRIST! HAS ANYONE SEEN GOD? NO MAN HAS SEEN GOD and if they see GOD's face THEY WILL DIE. Jesus was seen by many and they didn't DIE so Jesus Is Not The Almighty God. Jesus is called SON even before coming to earth as human. Exo 33:20 states "“You cannot see my face, for no man can see me and live.”" NO MAN CAN SEE ME, notice ME , you think ME IS NOT LITERAL? IT IS LITERAL "ME" WHO IS GOD. GOD IS FROM FOREVER: John 1:1 mentions the WORD WAS IN THE BEGINNING, so Jesus was LIMITED "IN THE BEGINNING" Unlike GOD who is FROM FOREVER (Psalms 90:2). Is "a god" a valid translation in John 1:1? Sahidic Coptic translation uses an indefinite article with the word “god” in the final part of John 1:1. The Greek used in the BIble does not have an indefinite article "a" so that's why you don't see the "a" in John 1:1, The Sahidic Coptic translation uses an indefinite article with the word “god” in the final part of John 1:1. again, john 1:1 about theos - Strong's Concordance theos: God, a god , so "a god" is a valid translation. "The NAS New Testament Greek Lexicon" defines theos as "a god" as well. so it is a valid translation. Also Thayer's Greek Lexicon also defines theos as "a god" so it is a valid translation Is Jesus the same as Jehovah? Jesus is the SON. Jehovah is Our FATHER (Isa 63:16). Even the trinity doctrine states the SON IS NOT THE FATHER, so Jesus is NOT JEHOVAH How many person is GOD? God said " I am God Almighty", The use of I am, means GOD is ONE PERSON. Do you use I am, me, myself, me alone for ONE LITERAL PERSON or THREE PERSONS? You only use those phrases for ONE literal person and NEVER FOR THREE PERSONS. Is Jesus described as a Morning Star like the Angels? Yes. Rev 22:16 - 16 “‘I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to you about these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David+ and the bright morning star.’”+ JESUS IS THE BRIGHT MORNING STAR, Angels are also called morning stars in Job 38:7, so Jesus is the BRIGHT OR CHIEF OF THE ANGELS (archangel) as 1 Thessalonians 4:16 mentions. What does Firsborn means? So depending on the context the firstborn can be the chief, principal, or first in time or place or rank. Still though, when you use the firstborn with an OF, “firstborn OF”, because of the OF , that means the firstborn BELONGS TO THE GROUP, just like when you say firstborn of the sheep. The firstborn is a sheep. So Jesus belongs to the group of creation, firstborn of all creation. Jehovah is called GOD of gods, who are these gods? if you say that those are all false gods, then you are saying that GOD is like Satan as he is God of all false gods. Those gods exist, just like King of kings, those kings exist.

Before I go any further, JWs represent true Christianity exclusively. The purpose of that statement isn't to debate the truth of that assertion(if someone disagrees, I'd be happy to answer any questions they may have) but only in order for anyone reading this post, to understand the explanation and to clear up any misconception they may have about JWs. If someone answers a question that's unscriptural, it requires correction. JWs don't practice interfaith, nor do they believe in "private interpretation".(2nd Peter 1:20) There aren't two "sets of truth". Someone may choose to answer in their "own words"; in fact, that's encouraged but that's not an "interpretation". JWs don't "control" anyone. That's absurd. Are you disfellowshipped?

The other problem is the shunning, when a person committed a sin, nobody can talk again to that person, not even their own family, it can passed years and they don’t talk to that person, same thing is with all the person that had abandoned the organization, we lost all our family and friends! That shunning had been the caused of many people that had committed suicide. It is very difficult to loose your family that is still living. That is their love and they way they showed Jesus love!!! There’s more to say about “ this Christian Organization” but I don’t want to keep talking, he can do his investigation! Just checked the latest lawsuit in Pennsylvania and NY, where one of the person that was going to be arrested, took his own life! Just make your own investigation!!

Every denomination believes that they are the one true church. The Catholic Church has made this same claim since the first century AD. Any church that does not believe that they are the only ones teaching the truth would not exist. Why would anyone attend a church that claims NOT TO TEACH THE TRUTH?

Sadly JW followers love hearing of wars as they believe Armageddon is imminent. It is sad, actually very sad that they almost rejoice. I started bible study with them (not join, just naively though they actually teach the bible, but it was only their own booklets). I stopped bible study as I had read the bible and had many questions JW teacher could not answer and when I stopped the study she told me I will be destroyed at Armageddon and so will my baby at the time. These days I love them coming door knocking as I am ready to discuss with them bible topics, but they usually leave very quickly.

Armageddon is imminent and they don't "love hearing of wars". That's absurd. JWs will answer any question you have with only the Bible. After you read this post, you can ask me anything you want and I'll answer you using only the Bible.

@@ripcord8738 the last time a JW elderly gentleman came to our door (pre Covid) - the first thing he asked me - "do you think we live in bad times?" I told him no - look we have clean water, we have jobs, we have food on the table, we have freedom of religion of choice. He then proceeded to say what about wars etc. I explained there always was and always will be. I am a devout Christian and live each day as my last as I do not know what tomorrow brings, I could have an accident, suddenly die etc. I told him I trust in the Lord Our God our Heavenly Father. I told him I will pray for him, and I still do, as he seemed like a very nice old man, but a very sad old man. Getting back to your answer - I studied with JW, been to their Kingdom Hall, saw how mothers smacked babies in the pray when they cried in the hall during their talks. None of my questions were answered, only with JW doctrine, when I said but "the bible said,...." JW lady said, oh I don't know, I have to check and get back to you - she never did. My mother's best friend is a JW and is a wonderful person, but never brings up the religion to my mum anymore as she told her if she wanted to be friends - then do not mention JW religion anymore, as my mum told her I don't ask you to come back to your Catholic faith (they are still great friends. My mum is a very devout Christian. We have to keep our eyes open and keep vigilant not be led astray from the truth. I belong also to a faith which claims to be the truth (not JW). All of them say the same. However, we will all be judged on judgement fairly. I put my faith and complete trust in my Creator and my heavenly Father.

@@ripcord8738 I have a question. Based on 2 John verses 9 and 10 Why do Jehovah's Witnesses shun people who still follow Jesus and are practicing Christians but have decided not to follow eight men in New York. ? We teach the doctrine of Christ and yet we are shunned. Christians are to love one another. I always say hello to my old friends when I see them at their literature cart but they ignore me. It's not kind. 😢

@@inapickle4971 Very sad is it not that they rejoice wars and death. I am Catholic and we are told we need to be ready at all times as we never know the hour or day, only God the Father knows. Basically, I try to live my life everyday as my last, as I never know when the I will be called, not due to war etc, but life here now.

bec rev 6:2 mentions about Jesus who is the one riding on the white horse and a CROWN was given to him , which signifies he became king. Nebuchadnezzar's dream is about the final part of the days, and prophecies in Daniel correlates to Jesus' becoming king which JWs believe happened in 1914. then Rev 6:3 mentions that after Jesus was crowned, the fiery red horse followed, which signifies war and this was true as the first world war happened on 1914. Rev 6:3-4 - When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creatureg say: “Come!” 4 Another came out, a fiery-colored horse, and it was granted to the one seated on it to take peace away from the earth so that they should slaughter one another, and he was given a great sword.h

If that happened in those days, why is the Church still broken into many sects? So as Christ's Body was Broken, the Church which is referred to as the Body of Christ is broken. So in the Last days when the literal fulfillment of these things come to pass There will be a flaming fire that leaves only the true doctrines behind, and so Christ's Body was resurrected by the fire and power of the Holy Ghost, so shall be the Churches made into one Church. Watch and pray and see that you DO NOT mock me on this matter, for you know not what kind of man you would deride. You can either Cling to Jesus or the Doctrines of your church. Chose this day who you will serve.
