Here's a cool Easter egg: fans were really mad that the Spino was able to so easily beat the T-rex in JP 3, so in this movie they had Rexy (the OG T-Rex) break through a Spino skeleton in her entrance!

The film received mostly positive reviews, as critics said, "Even though this film doesn't capture the awe or imagination of the original JURASSIC PARK, it does give us what we always wanted: the ultimate summer thrill ride." What many of the characters fail to learn (an most people who watch the movies), is the difference between "tamed" and "domesticated". A domesticated animal was bred over many generations to be placid and friendly towards humans, or at least accepting of their presence. Pets and farm animals, creatures you can walk up to and touch and interact with without much risk are domesticated. A Tamed animal is a wild animal that had to be trained over its life to understand how to interact with humans. Zoo and circus animals are Tamed. The people who talk about "controlling the Dinosaurs" think that because they were made in a lab, that automatically makes them domesticated, and will do what humans want. Owen explains he does not "control" the Raptors, because he understands they are Tamed, raised from birth to understand his commands. Understand, but they decide for themselves if they want to obey those orders.

For the next one....PLEASE just go in expecting the most "different" Jurassic movie compared to all the others, atleast in its second half. Fallen Kingdom is basically a modern successor to The Lost World. That film was always more divisive, but it's pretty beloved by fans today. You certainly enjoyed it. The best thing about Jurassic World 2 is how it evolves the franchise and sets up its future, in an organic way. Not to mention the score, practical effects & cinematography 🔥

i personally love the lost world, its honestly tied for, if not the top of my list for JP movies (I'd like to mention I grew up in the 90s with these movies) , much prefer the animals acting like animals rather than movie monsters, just a lot more immersive for me, that being said I personally didn't like fallen kingdom that much, a lot of the characters just fell short in it in my opinion (especially the hunters who nowhere near lived up to the major characters from Roland and Ajay to Stark and Burke, they were a motley crew with a lot of personality in comparison), to the point the hunters in FK almost felt like dr evils minions rather than actual people in a movie trying to take its self seriously. i also personally disliked the pacing of fallen kingdom it just felt rushed most of the time and almost needlessly so. but all these are personal gripes.

Animals that kill for no reason are rare in the wild it's not a species thing, it's an individual thing. Sometimes intelligent animals that are born and raised in captivity Can gain a taste for killing for no reason if they are bored and not properly raised or enriched. House cats are notorious for this but it's often overlooked... When a dog gets a taste for it however ...

I like this movie but something about almost every dinosaur is CGI makes me miss Jurassic Park more because of the practical effects. @@Posirep It's pretty hard to make animatronics seem lifelike though. Unless it's a relatively static shot or if it interacts with something not-CGI, CGI will often look better. That's why the original JP has loads of CGI too. T-Rex ripping through the fence? CGI. T-Rex flipping over the jeep and biting it's wheel? All CGI. The raptors in the kitchen? CGI. The new Jurassic Worlds actually do use a surprisingly large amount of animatronics. The dying brachiosaurus in JW1 was fully animatronic. The scene in JW2 where they removed the bullet from Blue was animatronic as well, and the T-Rex in the cage next to it was animatronic as well. There's loads of animatronics planned for JW3, so I have good hopes for it. There's a time and place for animatronics and CGI.

The guy who designed the Indominous Rex was in the first Jurassic Park movie, he's the one who was explaining to everyone that the dinosaurs were all female, and the Aunt is Bryce Dallas Howard, she's the daughter of Ron Howard who was Opie in Andy Griffith show and Richard Cunningham in Happy days, and Ron collaborated with Brian Grazer to create the 1980s movie Splash with Tom Hanks, John Candy, and Daryl Hannah as a mermaid, and those 2 also created the live-action movie The Grinch with Jim Carrey as the Grinch; both movies would be great for a reaction, and so would the Lost In Space movie with Matt LeBlanc as Major Don West, LeBlanc played as Joey in the Friends series and he was Vinny in a few episodes of Married With Children. Ps for anyone who actually read this ridiculously long comment, I'm a nerd, we have over a thousand movies and TV series on vhs, blue-ray and DVD from the Charlie Chaplin, and Nosferatu silent film Era all the way to modern times, so I actually come up with movies for a few youtubers who've never heard of them before 🤣🤣🤣, oh God, I think me and my eggs need a boyfriend to occupy my time rather than endless movies 🤪

Although the Spinosaurus was the largest carnivore ever to walk on earth, it actually spent most it's time in or around water. It had a huge long paddle tail for moving around in the water better and a crocodile like snout for snatching up giant fish and sharks to eat. It had long arms and is suspected to have been able to switch between bipedal and quadrupedal movement. In reality the Spinosaurus in JP3 was a shrink wrapped version of the real thing, a Spinosaurus had denser bones and a bigger body than a Trex and outweighed it by tons, however even with bone density and size on it's side, with the Trex having had the strongest bite force ever, if it had gotten ahold of a Spinosaurus's neck like it did in the film, it would have probably killed it.

The original t-rex captured my heart and fear back I 1993 when I was 8. No other dinosaur will ever compare to her. She scared the living shit out of me and captured my interest at the same time.

11:41 In real life, a Mosasaurus would’ve been about 17 meters in length. That monster, according to online sources, was 40. Probably more. I know these moves have not been consistent with scale (the raptors are to big, the Dilophosaurus was too small) but that is a lot. And yet this is only the second time a dinosaur media has a sea reptile on par with the blue whale in size.

Maybe we haven't found a 40 m fossil yet? Large skeletons have fewer chances to completely fossilize. One can dream

I believe Gray and Zach (Claire’s nephews) are supposed to be 11 and 16, respectively. It’s not too surprising that Z doesn’t return his gf’s “I love you” in the beginning - they probably haven’t been dating for very long (given his parents’ attitude and the fact that he immediately starts flirting with other girls as soon as they get to the park) 😘

I dunno enough about what you're into to know if you'll find this funny. But in the scene with the tourists running away from the pteradactyls, that dude who grabs two margeritas as he runs is Jimmy Buffet.

Apparently the way the i-rex just kills and doesn't eat is based on killer whales in seaworld ... they never attack in the wild and eat what they need, but after years in captivity they go crazy and lash out for being kept in a cage

Hey Rexy protects her spot as our favorite Dinosaur besides Blue! Also, something I think about is if there are anymore raptors on the island because we only saw four but Blue was the only one to survive. If there isn't any other ones she'll be all alone which makes me sad because they are pack animals and thrive together 😔 Also I really want to know what the main scientist was thinking! He knows what happened at the first park and what became of it so why the hell would you continue to make dinosaurs and create a new one?! As smart as he is, he's so stupid trying to play God.

I know that when I saw this movie for the first time I was scared that they’re going to “dull down” the raptors/ make them “friendlier” but boy did they not. Even still, Blue is easily one my favorite characters in this movie. But I will always have a soft spot for Rexy. The final battle was so epic, I saw it in theaters and omg, I thought I was going to explode with excitement Also, I would recommend watching camp cretaceous on Netflix if you have the time, it doesn’t really add to the main story but I mean, more dinos is always a win, especially while waiting for the last movie
