I use a 100ah lifepo battery as an extra battery. You need the Xt60i connector that is for solar input which connects that center pin to the negative side of the plug. The car charger Xt60i center pin is connected to the positive side and restricts to 8a. I connect the lifepo battery to the correct Xt60i with 10g wire and plug into the solar input on the river2pro It will run in pass thru til the extra battery is depleted then switch to the river2pro battery. You just need a separate charger for the extra battery. Works very well. 👍

CORRECTION! The mobile app DOES allow you to turn the outputs on and off!! Damnit... I neglected to click on the Outputs button...but when you do, the output controls are right there staring you in the face. I KNEW I was missing something...sorry EcoFlow!

many complain about DBs of the fans of delta 2 .. and some say the river is less loud.. makes me think of try this as my first ever gadget for my storage mini weekend projects .. small tools and some led lamps!!!! need to move it often when leave so any pound counts and home is small so even in next room even any amount of extra db in a hurry charge at night counts too

River 2 Pro does support additional batteries unofficially. You can daisy chain them with other battery banks by either the USB type C or AC. The additional battery banks needs to support either pass-through charging or UPS/EPS.

I would have preferred you tested the UPS mode with a desktop computer and not a laptop. A desktop computer generally draw significantly more power than a laptop. Additionally, a UPS is traditionally used with a desktop, not a laptop. I'm curios to see whether the Ecoflow UPS mode is fast enough to keep a ~145watt load desktop running without interruption.

You mentioned the extra pin on the XT60i plug. I understand that the pin gets tied to incoming negative for a normal car charger or incoming positive if you are using a solar cable ( could be the opposite way around I can’t recall ) This tells the ecoflow how to limit the charge current to not overload your car circuit.

Can a regular XT60 plug be use with the power atation? From the literature I have found , it appears the extra pin on the XT60i connector goes to a wire used by a specific smart charger to display cell temperature and cell cycles. Solar panels don't have those options, coming from a standard MC-4 connectors.

Ecoflow is best of breed, IMHO.

Received mine today. XBOOST doesn't seem to be working at all. Tried flipping the switch in the app and nothing. Won't even attempt to run my fridge, immediate overload. College type dorm microwave barely works, light in the microwave flickers, toaster shuts down immediately as well. Something isn't right and I will be reaching out to support of course. Worth noting, I did update the firmware and the app immediately after it prompted (right after unboxing). Hopefully it's a glitch unit and nothing more.

Please re-visit the male/female MC-4 connector designations. It's not the shape of the plastic that determines the 'sex', but the shape of the metal connector inside the plastic. The connector you call 'female' has a male pin inside. The connector you call 'male' has a female pin inside.

The Delta Mini will run a 1000 watts all day ( AC) or until the battery capacity is depleted. For its size its one of the best power stations for features and value for the money. Ive seen them for as low as 550.00.I dont think there is a power station that can compete with the Delta Mini.

I just bought the River 2 PRO via Amzn, it arrived 4-3-2023 , ran tests on it, as soon as I plugged a 5521 cable into the PRO's 5521 ports, there was a high pitched whistle sound from inside case. strange, does that sound every time I use the 5521 port (& Cigarette lighter socket). I have the Riv 2 MAX and it wouldn't run my full size kitchen refrigerator, so I bought the River 2 PRO figuring that would be no problem. NOPE... the River 2 Pro got the same "OVERLOAD" error and shut down. I'm In the process now of returning Riv 2 PRO to Ecoflow, have to wait for a return label emailed direct from Ecoflow (approx 2-3 days) in order to return, even though I bought it on Amzn. So I will buy the Delta 2 as soon as all is refunded. YTube Vids show Delta 2 runs full size refrig's no problem. Love Ecoflow App! That's why I want to stick with Ecoflow products, but running my full size refrig is Job #1. I own a "Milin 622wh Power Station," and it has no problem running my refrig!! (figure that one out?)
