The C-6 transmission rebuild I did back this summer hit a snag. I had some camera issues and some of the footage was lose, and the sound is not good. That was the bad news. The good news I was able to save a lot of the video footage so I'm going to edit what I can should have it on KZfaq as soon as I can. the tear down is my most viewed video so I will try to finish it

1966 c6 lots of ?s ... Like valve body... I need one. Read I can use any early vb. But have to modify. Then some say no. Only a 1966 vb. Not expecting an answer but a great video of details. Wish I could let you work on mine. I'm in 96,SC.

I suspect the C-6 is one of the most "doable" transmissions the average mechanically inlined person can learn on. Thus it's popularity. I'm just getting ready to do mine.

So far it is a total success. I only have about 100 miles on it so far but it is exactly like having my old transmission back. The difficult part is there is so much misinformation and disinformation out there that it is difficult to separate fact from fiction. What "I THINK" l learned is that you can mix complete subassemblies from generations 1 and 2 c-6's as long as you don't mix parts from different generations within a subassembly. Best either rebuild a pre or post 1977 unit complete . There is a Ford transmissions site out there that was a big help to me. Some very good people on there. I rebuilt a second one, a gen 2 unit and just wrapped it up and put it away.

because a lot of us want to know how to rebuild these. please make an in depth tutorial, with step by step guide. this sort of thing is missing. please explain things along the way, make a series, I am certain there is tons of content and material for you to make videos about. best if the videos are between 10 and 15 minutes long, and cover one or two maybe 3 steps in depth, rather than just watch you work while not knowing what is going on.
