So in case you or anyone else here isn't aware of what the "Magmasaurus" (10:25) is based on since it isn't mentioned in the video. There was a Transformers character in the Japanese exclusive Beast Wars Neo series named Magmatron, who was formed out of three different ""dinosaurs"" (Quetzalcoatulus/"Skysaurus", Elasmosaurus/"Seasaurus" and Giganotosaurus/"Landsaurus") that would either combine together into his robot mode, or could also form together in their beast-forms to create the, well, "Magmasaurus", which essentially looks like that but less stylized. Ironically Hasbro just came out with a new Magmatron toy just recently. I know there isn't really a *ton* of overlap between the Jurassic and Transformers community so I figured I'd put it out there in case anyone didn't know.

beat me too it lol, after jp and the lost world, beast wars was my toy line of choice in the 90's, im still bummed the Japanese bw series still hasn't gotten a English or English subbed release. well an official one anyway.

Oh I remember Yongary! He was Koreas response to Godzilla for sure and hes made quite a name for himself in the Kaiju Community as well and Im proud hes getting his own figure :)

Seeing someone do the "Magmasaurus" mode of Magmatron from Beast Wars Neo was not something I was expecting, but I am all for it. And I think the SDCC Jimmy Buffet figure is also meant to be a tribute to Jimmy Buffet since he unfortunately passed away in September of last year. Probably not something I'll be getting, but it is still a nice gesture all the same.

It would appear that the Schleich temple set has another variant with two additional pieces and a green Postosuchus. Look into it. Just to add, the raptor by Max Factory intrigues me since I do own some of their Figma characters. Definitely worth considering.

The Jimmy Buffet thing is a step down from the SDCC exclusive with the rain deco tyrannosaurus and Genaro. I am still looking for that T. rex or the T. rex paddock sign accessory- whereas I won’t be looking for Buffet and the dimorphodons any time soon I don’t think

Why do they always insist on doing Sinosauropteryx models in that death pose? They don't realize that's what the body looked like when it was dead and buried in sediment? They think it was prancing around and became flash-fossilized or something ? I like the sculpt, but I wish they sculpted it in a better pose.

My only problem with the jimmy buffett set is that the dimorphodons look not too great (almost bootleg looking imo), but it did give me a good laugh when i first saw it

Andy is the nanmu velociraptors articulated or static they look like a maquette with the base.just confused about the pictures they are releasing as they dont look articulated.

They will be the articulated versions. The images are just Prototypes I believe.

That "Magmasaurus" is based on the Transformers Beast Wars Neo Predacon/Destron Magmatron, who transformers into a Giganotosaurus, Elasmosaurus, and Rhamphorhynchus and can also combine into what you see Creature Preacher has shown, which is also named a "Magmasaurus." I don't really know who Jimmy Buffet is, aside from being the official barman of Margaritaville, but to me, this is the equivalent of "The Most Interesting Man in the World" from Dos Equis XX, in figure form. I understand he has a cameo in Jurassic World as the "Margarita Man" as the Pterosaur attack of Pteranodons and Dimorphodons descends upon the guests, sheltering from the Indominus Rex. However, is this really on brand for Jurassic? Why can't we get a Dr. Gerry Harding, Lewis Dodgson, plainclothes Dr. Wu, Franklin Webb, Vic Hoskins, JP Jeeps with opening doors and tailgate and winches, or an InGen Helicopter, or Simon Masrani in Jurassic One? Just so bizarre, in my opinion. Keep up the great work, bro! 👊😎🍻
