One of my biggest fears is being stuck on a raft in the middle of the ocean and seeing a big storm coming.

Am I the only one that found the ship in the storm to be the scariest out of all of these videos? Great white sharks, whales, sea lions, turtles etc.. All beautiful creatures but that ship would scare the shit out of me hahaha

Honestly the storm was the scariest, ofc sharks have their reputation but being on a boat facing a force that has no boundaries whatsoever just seems terrifying

A few years back my cousin and I spent a week at Cooktown in Northern Queensland. Each day we went out fishing the sharks would arrive as soon as we started catching fish but on one occasion we had a great white we estimated at about 3 metres ram our boat 4 times. The boat was probably around 25 metres in length and despite the massive "dead weight" it would have been in the water, we could clearly feel the impact. They are incredibly powerful and amazing creatures.

I think this is a valuable lesson to respect the seas and all of its might. Also please folks, it’s ok to have an encounter with marine life but stay a distance if you can. Let them come to you. It’s not a good thing to race towards them. Let them be. And being quiet is good too. These creatures have hearing that a human can’t comprehend. Even slight noises can really upset marine life because their hearing is so finely tuned to hear underwater. Especially dolphins. Have fun but be aware of their characteristics. ❤️

When I was a wee lad back in the 70s, one of the tabloids in England posted a truly horrific full-color article about a guy who had been attacked by a hammerhead. Showed him (what was left of him on a boat deck swimming in blood, huge chunks taken out of his legs and torso. Scarred me for life.

I always been afraid to swim in the ocean. Especially here in CA where you literally can’t see inside the water, or open your eyes when you are under water.

That first shot of the shark jumping out of the water is incredible cinematography. I can’t stop watching it. The atmosphere, the fog, truly amazing.

Sea animals are amazingly interesting but #6 is just wow!

Ever since I was a young boy and reading the picture book of Pinnochio and seeing Gepetto being swallowed by a whale and being trapped inside, I've always been creeped out by that happening! That guy was probably thinking the same, terrified he was going to still be alive inside a whale, after it swallows him and swims off into the ocean. 🤣😱

And yet people wonder why I'm scared of the ocean.

A plane turbulence can be scary but a freaking storm in the ocean would make me dirt my pants

The Sea Turtle at #3 was silly. I've experienced that 5 or 6 times myself. I have a picture of me giving one a high five. The storm swell visual mixed with the fear of the boat being capsized while dealing with motion sickness would definitely top the list for me. Although I have been kayaking in Tomales Bay, CA and seen a Great White surface about a 100 feet away going for a seagull and it scared the crap out of me. I didn't even want to paddle. I just waited quietly for about 5 minutes until a small boat came by and I flagged him down and got a ride to the docks.

As cool as open water looks, I’m fine with never going that far out in the ocean

My great grandpa was a sailor and passed down stories of encounters he had while out at sea. Maybe that’s why I don’t go into the water at the beach. Just lay out on the sand

The Hump Back and calf, nature at it's best. Stopped in at the Head of the Bight off the Nullabor Road house South Australia in September 2006 an annual event. From a cliff edge platform watched 135 Humpbacks with 29 calves in the bay. 100 feet away watching a calf at play around it's mother, they just cruised around for an hour, beautiful memory.

I studied sharks for years and know how to defend myself, but let’s be real. Your brain would short- circuit only by being aware that there’s a giant 18 feet- long predator in the same waters as you. Thus you won’t be brave enough to face them. Only them moment at 0:07 was enough to terrify me

I"ve heard that some cultures consider whales to be our ancestors as a spiritual belief and it sounds pretty surreal but then again whales seem to be the only mammals on this earth that seem to have an unconditional love and respect for humans when many of us give them every reason to resent and fear us.

Always amazed at the recognition that whales have for humans. Since the stories of Moby dick one might be correct in assuming they remember and consider. Point being they'd also recognize we've changed our ways on the whaling thing,,, for the most part,, and we seem to be forgiven. I hope you dont mind me telling this, I had a long time customer in my Barbershop, who bought a 50 ft sloop, which he rebuilt for racing. They raced from lauderdale to Cuba, various others, and really did well, winning several races. He told me they were sailing back to Florida from Mexico. At 2:00 a.m. the wind stopped. The ocean was so calm, the night so clear, with millions of stars and a big full moon. He told me that for a while, you could hardly tell where the stars stopped, and their reflection on the "glass" gulf started. "THEN," he said, "about 50 Pilot whales arrived, and for some reason, started circling the boat, at about medium speed. For five minutes they circled us, and long phosphorescent comet tails followed. Then the whales formed up and swam away, after giving us a vision we'll never forget " pretty cool, right? Great video, thanks!
