Gr8 job, Cuomo, for a b.s. interview where you hold these guilty men 0% accountable. It's good to hear Jeriann acknowledge the reason for these laws. In her earlier interview, she more so blamed it on TSA, which is wack. One thing Cuomo said that was interesting was that these laws shouldn't be for tourists. So the solution is to have one set of laws for American tourists & a different set of laws for guilty citizens of Turks and Caicos? Way to sound entitled & privileged. No. Laws are made for a reason. This is a sad situation, but ignorance should not be an acceptable defense. Break the law, serve the sentence.

On the other hand, if T & C is going to have such draconian laws and penalties, it will scare people away from traveling there and ultimately hurt their tourism industry. I have never owned a firearm or ammo, so that would never be an issue for me. But who knows what other strict laws they may have. I have no desire to travel there after hearing these stories!

Americans can be very vengeful and decide to boycott this destination in the future. If you also notice, its conservative families that are visiting, pink dollars have absolutely no interest in visiting these destinations. So, be a bit reasonable and just warn them instead of doing this non-sense. Sounds like almost a shake down.

First how many bullets are in a round? How is it that three guys “forgot they had bullets that kill in their baggage and where did they go before that that they needed all those bullets that kill? The first thing I do when I fly is chek with airline what can’t be carried on board. I think bullets fall in same category as guns. Lastly, if three guys from any country come in to our country with “bullets they forgot in their bags” in their bags all three at the same time, what do you think police would do? Also, if it was three Black American guys in this scenario, would we know about this and how would the media be saying? Honestly, smuggling guns from Virginia is a huge problem in our own states and all the guns these tropical islands get are US made. I would appreciate knowing crime statistics on tourists there. Surely the natives and tourists that are there and know about what the police did about all those bullets are feeling like that government is protecting their lives. It only takes ONE bullet to kill a human. How many bullets in each of those rounds. From each of those three guys?

Americans think that carrying ammo or guns is a "small crime" due to their gun culture, and that is obvious by the fact that these people didn't even clean out their bags and store all of their ammo after a shooting trip. Other countries consider it a major issue, especially countries that have major gun problems due to gangs, and therefore have stronger laws and no tolerance. Try "accidentally" bringing a tiny amount of cocaine or other controlled substance into the U.S. and see how it goes. These people may have made a small mistake, but, they broke a law in another country and that country has the right to enforce their laws as they see fit. The Turks are sending a strong message that they will not tolerate anyone carrying ammo into their country. Remember what happened to Brittney Grinder for "accidentally" bringing a small amount of THC oil into Russia? And that is far less damaging than a couple of bullets could be.

I just find it hard to believe that all of these men just accidentally forgot to unpack their ammo before their trips. It just doesn't pass the smell test. These men should know that you aren't allowed to take ammo on a plane in your checked baggage let alone take it into countries that do not allow firearms or ammo. I don't feel any empathy or sympathy for these men and they should be more respectful and mindful about another countries laws. The same thing happens to foreigners when they enter the US with prohibited items as they can also face jail time and be banned for life. It is no different.

I would have understood if someone planted the ammo but no, the husband was aware of the ammo. Please respect the laws of other countries. You are not above anyone, America. DISAPPOINTED WITH NEWS NATION for the first time!
