One of the worst things about a case like this is the family's sense of powerlessness. They would want to know every detail of Taylor's stay at the ashram. To not talk with them or allow others to talk with them, and just leave them hanging is callous. I'm glad they are going to the media; if the Bahamas is so concerned about their image, they should have handled this differently.

1. Trans people are more likely to be victims of violent crimes. Casey was a trans woman, biological male, who may look different and have been targeted for their gender identity in a place less progressive like the Bahamas. The family needs to be forthright about all basic info about their loved one... they aren't helping her to leave this out. 2. The retreat is where her belongings were found and last seen alive, so most likely someone from the retreat is connected to disappearance. 3. In cases like this, security guards have a higher probability of being attackers because they escort people in and out, presumed to be protectors but are often hired without background checks. They can also view and sometimes tamper with surveillance that others cannot within the vicinity of the retreat.

This is 100% on the money. When your kid is missing, time is of the essence and everything about them matters. It's a little suspicious to be raising money to find Taylor but not be honest about something SO IMPORTANT. Why are glossing over a trans when this could be a hate crime? I don't get this family. I dont understand how the phone could ping after going into the water.. i can see a more accurate ping if on a boat/kayak showing location in the water... i wonder how deep the water was.. I assume the waters were very clear to be able to find a phone.

Yeah, I was wondering about this myself. When I seen the room where she was staying in, there was a tent she lived in while there. I found that to be strange. If she was there for a retreat, why was she not sleeping in a bed? Why was her phone in the water, was she taken by boat? Missing pictures not hanging around to let tourist know to be safe or to be on the lookout for others is strange also. Seems like they are more concerned about that money than the safety of others. I feel investigators did a blotched job on their research for someone who is missing. Bring Taylor home.

A very sad tragedy. May the 1:39 family find their loved one and find peace . A cautionary note for the future- DONT GO TO THESE ISOLATED PLACES ALONE. And further, do research before u sign up for something like this. In the 60s, during that time, what I recall is Ashrams were cults and families were often trying to pry their family members from them. If the cult awareness network still exists, contact them for help.

To travel there is at your own risk because there are no cameras, or security because the law does not require that from the place of business. At best, the most that can be hoped for is to get the truth. An attorney familiar with their laws and practices might be able to find the truth because the police are not going to investigate if the law does not require it. I think someone was watching until they could get her alone and take her. Then the first thing done was to throw the phone in the ocean so that it could not be found. This is not a missing person situation anymore. Condolences to the family and friends.

Hanna is an employee of the retreat and should not be required to talk to Taylor's mother. It should have been the manager of the retreat who called the mother, not Hanna. But I think the retreat should have been closed and the rooms should have been thoroughly searched. The Bahamian police, as the U.S. police, do not tell families of suspects or leads they receive. Be fair people. All islands of the Bahamas are on the lookout for Taylor. Hopefully, a new lead will come and Taylor will be found to bring closure to her family.

Here’s some facts: the yoga resort is located in a very remote part of paradise island, so remote that there are no roads or tracks to access this place, only by boat can you get there. The yoga retreat is owned and operated by foreigners, not Bahamians. In fact, most of the Bahamian population did not even know this place existed until this missing person case came up. Further, the family has refused several invitations to speak with local media in the Bahamas.

I hate to say this but is sex traffiking prevelant in the area? They use boats to transport victims, maybe they threw her phone in water so her phone couldnt be tracked

I am praying for Taylor around the clock. I did not like some things I experienced in the Bahamas. I dreamed for decades of going to the Bahamas, but actually being there was not as pleasant. And I traveled extensively. I did not experience any friendliness during our whole vacation there.

What a great journalist/ presenter, Why such a closed evasive response considering this family is missing their loved ones last in that organisations care! Tourists ! this neglect could have the reverse effect to tourisim since that shows neglect of human saftey against the dollar. Hope Taylor is located.😑

@@quin7850 I see a lot of people in the water with their phones, most phones are waterproof now (depending on the phone) so it's not a big deal so Idk maybe taking pictures she sent a picture to her mom of her in the water, that was the last picture she sent her mom too 🤷🏾‍♀️

I am from Nassau Bahamas, and I am sorry, but I wonder if the police really grilled that boat operator who claims he never saw her leave the Island, and all of them. Something is not right!!!! The Police needs to get to work and find this lady's daughter!

I won’t stop looking up this investigation until we get answers since there is only a few news outlets who are reporting on this. 🤔 I’m disgusted with the media and KZfaq comment section doesn’t want to know my true feelings on them and this story in particular!!!!😡🤬
