Isn't it interesting that in a country like the US, where it's legal to carry in most situations, the police are relatively friendly, especially out in the country, while in a country like the UK where you're barely allowed to have a pen knife, let alone any self defence, the police is always very hostile? I wonder why...? It's almost as if they're not afraid of people at all.

If you refuse the police are, in fact, allowed to confiscate your drone if they have reasonable suspicion that it is being used illegally or you yourself are breaking the law in that area. This is known as “Civil forfeiture.” What's worse, is that you can even face jail time for breaking drone laws. Refusing to show operators number is sufficient suspicion. I love how ignorant people are of the actual laws that police operate under.
@TheSadButMadLad
@TheSadButMadLad 2 жыл бұрын
@@hairyferrit Refusing to show the op ID is not grounds for sufficient suspicion on it own. It would need more than that. That NNY showed he knew more about the drone laws than the copper shows that he knows the law, so would have ensured that he follows it. I really enjoy how you remain calm even when being provoked. One suggestion is whenever the cops start speaking over you and talking fast to just stop talking and wait for them to finish. Then after they finish ask them to repeat themselves from the beginning on the premise that you were talking when they started and didn't hear what they were saying. This will start to infuriate them after a while because most of the time they are not trying to have a conversation. They are simply trying to exert their authority and provoke you into getting angry or into otherwise providing them with justification to use force against you. When you calmly ask them to repeat themselves then you de-escalate the situation but that will still get under their skin.

Why are they so scared of a camera and of course a drone now near their police stations. It is not illegal is it. So what exactly is their problem. Is it because they cannot control what it sees. They are always close by, yet when you are burgled they are too busy to attend. It never ceases to amaze me the way they act as if it is the crime of the century flying a drone/ taking vids or pictures. Keep it up NNY and show them up every time they act stupid.

All helipads have to be clearly marked and visible from the air and registered with the CAA and obviously have all the necessary planning permissions from local authorities and are all clearly marked on pilots airmaps which come out yearly or in notams, the general rule is its not a helipad unless the above criteria apply and any body claiming your flying over a helipad that is not marked is talking bull,its like the police could say you were driving recklessly on a motorway when you were on your own private land...

18:20 NOTAMs are not updated because of an emergency helicopter coming in. NOTAMs are created in advance of an event, not at the time of an event. And they require up to 90 days notice. Emergency helicopters never know when they are going to be up. When flying a drone you need to be listening out for any other aircraft and to land ASAP when you hear one. A helicopter is a noisy aircraft and would give enough notice for the drone pilot to land.

@@patrolmanracv That sounds so "sovereign citizen".... And as such ...totally wrong. Do a check, a Land Registry search. You will find that the legal owners of police stations are the local Police Commissioners Office, not the general public. They're classed as private property, the public's access is via a permission, not by a granted right. Trespass can be enforced by any police employee on police property, not that they're always aware of it though.
