Reform UK have launched their ‘contract with you’ (manifesto) after yet more candidate scandals and record polling. Nigel Farage is “loving this”.

Hannah Barnes and Rachel Cunliffe analyse the commitments in the Reform UK manifesto, launched in Wales by Nigel Farage and Richard Tice, and discuss whether they will cut through with voters.
They also explore a shock poll that suggested Reform could win seven parliamentary seats in the upcoming election, and Grant StClair-Armstrong - the latest Reform UK candidate forced to step down over past use of racial slurs and misogynistic comments.

1 In one out would depend on the variable and unpredictable number of people leaving the UK. Those trying to fill jobs they cannot fill in the UK, cannot be expected to reply on the numbers leaving and in any case they would never be high enough. Any emigrants leaving who came back, could mean someone slung out of the country. It is insane and would never be implemented except by fascists. Fascism & economic isolation ruined the Spanish economy, where people were eating out of bins and had no home other than "living" in bars.

@sasserine nugget, its been costed. Obviously you can't go for the silly figures you mentioned or would you prefer to to pay tax on your earnings from £12570 and leave your country defenceless in this dangerous world. The 3% of gdp is in comparison to 5% of gdp in the 80s and as high as 10% of gdp in 50s and 60s by the way.

As a non Welsh-speaking Welshman, you'd be surprised how often the mask slips with Welsh speakers. They have a superiority complex. This is why Plaid gains so little traction, They put off the non speakers with their constant harpering on in a useless language.

Interesting to see how many comments are for voting reform here. Can’t tell if it’s real or bots. I know that all my family that haven’t voted in years are voting for them…. Think the polls aren’t catching how big the reform vote will be, I’m betting considerably higher than 20% as the polls aren’t picking up the additional people who normally don’t vote coming out to…

They didn't cast aspersions though, they discussed his contract, both why it would appeal to voters, and it's shortcomings. Which considering how few MP's are going to be returned is a lot more than say the Lib Dems got for a lot of years, or that the Greens get considering there nationwide share as a single issue party. Also what do you mean by knee-jerk, Reform released the contract today, people are talking about it. Surely that's what Reform want? It seems more than likely you're more emotionally invested in Farage as a personality, and so are invested in not engaging with his shortcomings, or failings. Politics is about running a country, not having a personality.
