In this video I compare two midrange 17.3" portable gaming monitors: one by a company called G-Story known as the GST173 and another made by a company called NexiGo. Both retail for around $340, but one is clearly the better buy. Check out the video to find out which one!

Hey, thank you for the review, yours is the only legit review on Nexigo. There tens of Chinese 17.3 portables on Amazon, EBay and AliExpress, is there any monitor which sits above Nexigo as far as specs go ? I’m looking for a 17.3 with 144hz 400cd/m2+ , 1000:1 ,VESA mountable and Mini DP. Is there a variation that check make all of these?

FYI "Gsync and freesync" on the G-story; is JUST using freesync in both cases and calling it "gsync" if used with an nvidia GPU. ie: both monitors should run Variable refresh with either brand of GPU

Where did you connect the usbc cable for power and video output. The data pass through of the nexigo can be connected to a keyboard and mouse?

A lot of portable monitors seem to have the common issue of resetting the brightness setting to default/low setting when unplugged. Does the NexiGo share this trait?

Have you tested if either of these monitors (particularly the NexiGo) are frame skipping testufo.com/frameskipping at 144hz? I recently bought the NexiGo 15.6" 144hz panel, and it's definitely a 120hz native panel that can't reach 144hz. Would be curious if the 17.3" panel suffers the same fate or not.

sadly NexiGo be a no brainer only for those live in USA..buying one of these outside of USA is so expensive(from where i live) to the point that its better just to go for the Asus XG17...
