NEXT LEVEL Dock Skipping for BASS Tutorial with Gerald Swindle!

You've probably seen our other dock skipping fishing videos with Gerald Swindle. Well he's back with a new version and talks more of the subtle nuances that he looks at when he is skipping small jigs around docks. A lot of it centers around finding the hardest place to get a lure and focusing on getting it as far back in the most difficult places possible to maximize the opportunity to get to a bass that has not seen a lure recently. Being quick at identifying targets and not forcing the issue and working as a team to hit all the angles when fishing team bass tournaments.
There is a lot of great information on fishing for bass around docks, skipping technique, equipment setup, and thought process in this video with professional angler Gerald Swindle.

he forgot to mention what knot he used to keep those jigs on tight. the swindle double shindo over the creek beside the barn foothole knot. lmao this guy is hilarious.

I used the improved swindle double shindo over the creek beside the barn foothole knot. Only difference is 3 extra half hitches in the double line after you put the loop in the tag end.

Wow that was cool but I hope everyone heard him say it takes excessive practice to get that good and that he has practiced so much that he can make a skip where he wants too no matter his boats position another thing he did not say is you have too keep at it you will screw up and skip the bait where you don't want it and lands on the dock or throw up against the dock or into or on boats also but that's part of learning skipping

Another tip that he didn't mention is don't fill your spool to the top and it will make it alot easier.

Yall should watch Andy Montgomery skip docks. Another exceptional dock skipper. Also Dean Rojas on skipping frogs. Dude can curve a frog to get behind cover. Watched him do it in person while being a Marshal

Guys try 20lb cheap mono or cheaper fluoro I feel its easier to skip and wen u do backlash may be easier to get out in the beginning learning stages. Also use less line on the reel can help a tad bit
