Hot take my friend, you're so right. The Browns are a great example. Had a dynasty in the AAFC and 50s/60s but today, no one other than diehard CLE fans know how good they were back in the day. That goes for other teams as well. You rock! 😎

I would say not really. I feel people would only say that because their team with no titles have won at least an NFL or AFL championship lol. Or ones that have a ton of titles like Packers and bears.

It should be noted that yes, while the pre-Super Bowl championships count as much as the Super Bowl, after the NFL and AFL - which started in 1960 - agreed to merge, the "NFL championship game" essentially became the modern NFC championship game. The first Super Bowl was played after the 1966 season, and by then no one really cared about or wanted the old Thorp trophy. The Packers just kept it and never gave it to the Colts or Vikings probably because neither team wanted it or asked for it.

Man great catch Henry! I noticed another spelling error recently on this one which is the year 1923 has 1924. This is frustrating because I view these stat intensive videos multiple times and I still come up short, lol. Thanks for letting me know! Hope you enjoyed the video :)

One small error: the 1964 championship by the Browns franchise linearly was the last one UNTIL 2001. Ravens are the old Browns. The new Browns are an expansion team

no, the Browns retained their old history. The NFL honored that, and made the Ravens an expansion team, with no ties with the Browns. Fans don't determine this. The individual franchises, and the NFL make the decisions.

@@ksroadrunner except you can't change the fact they are. The players and personnel are the same. Calling them an expansion team makes no sense and skewers the stats. Fans can feel "oh it's still our team" bt the Browns formed in 1999 are a completely different entity

@@k-dawgbroadcasting5444it doesn't matter whether it makes sense to you, or not. You don't make the rules. The NFL gave the Browns organization the permission to keep their records prior to 1995. It's not really a debate. The Browns had the option to become the Ravens, and they chose not to. It's up to them, and the NFL.

actually, it's the other way around, quite a few early pro football teams were named after pro baseball teams in the same city, such as the NY Giants which were named after MLB's NY Giants that since moved to San Francisco, or the Chicago Staleys that were renamed and because they originally played in the same stadium as MLB's Cubs and because football players were taller than baseball players, the owner at the time renamed them the Bears

Took 70 years for the Rams to win championship as Los Angeles based team and one interesting fact that the head coach for the browns was the founder of bengals.
