People can debate whether Dak is a no. 1. Regardless, it's clear that Jerrah and the Cowboys don't believe that he is. When has a no. 1 NOT been signed well before the contract's expiration?

No one wants to mention this, but being a Cowboys fan I am going to anyway. Jerry we all know loves to keep the Cowboys in the news cycle. I believe he had a meeting with everyone before the offseason (Well the coach, Micah, Dak, and CeeDee) and told them all in order to win the superbowl we needed them all. SO they sat in the room and hashed out a deal that everyone could agree on and everyone signed. Although they all had to sign a specific NDA. Jerry wants the press to do exactly what they are doing. Which is keeping the Cowboys in news everyday. Then at a certain point they will announce each signing 1 at a time. Jerry probably (not accurately) believed we can still win without the guys that left.

@Fsudryden That is an interesting thought. It may have some truth behind it. My only thought that may conflict with it is that Jerry Jones is just going completely crazy (more so than before. And the marbles upstairs aren't working at all anymore. I'm a Dak fan and truly believe he has never been the main issue but I can see the hesitation in not signing him up front. However not signing Ceedee and Micha yet makes zero sense. Even if you are "starting over" in 2025 you still need a few core veteran/great players to lead the team going forward.

People need to realize that Jerry doesn't believe that Dak is a premier QB. Big possibility that if he doesn't reach the Conference championship he is going to be gone.
