He’s not even better than Goff and Kirk. Dak has been blessed with a top 10 o line and CeeDee lamb. He’s not clutch at all but he puts up big in season numbers but always chokes in postseason where it matters most And I like the guy too

@@johnlewandoski1645 been saying this for years, Tebow showed the way. Run full RPO, have 5 QBs (start with Justin Fields), and then run them out of a 2nd contract. Simplify passing the scheme (bootlegs etc.) to widen your QB pool. 🤯🤯🤔🍿

So we agree that the front office and coaching is a bigger issue than Dak in Dallas? Green Bay out coached Dallas in that playoff game. The defense let them down and the inability to establish a running game early put Dallas in the spot to get torched before they could even get a game plan going. Putting the blame on Dak is short sighted. If they dont pay him fair market value, eventually he leaves and if Dallas doesnt find a replacement, they’ll be mediocre for real. No playoffs, no chance at any post season success period

Guys love the show. I'm now expert but at least Goff has been to a Super Bowl & NFC Champ. Game. Dak lost to the Packers at home. To me that makes a difference. Regular season great. Post season below average. So Mike what are they paying Dak for making the playoffs ? Well, Baker Mayfield did that and he won. I appreciate your knowledge, but don't understand why the Cowboys should pay Dak what he wants...

Why not pay these QB's 100 Million a year ? This is crazy when the average person has a hard time putting food on table and paying rent or a mortage. Only few QB;s that deserve higher pay is Mahooms,Rogers and Burrow and rest haven't done enough to be in their catagory of their pay scale. Even they are way way overpaid ! If I were Love's agent, I would realize he is not Jones, I would only take a 2-year deal if franchising was off the table. I would bet on my guy, the coach, the team talent and go franchise next year before I would go for less than 4 years. I would believe Love and the Packers will compete for the #1 seed this year and could make the championship game, in part because of subtraction among last year's best NFC teams.

I disagree. I don't believe Dak is asking for 60 but the number may start at 50. Herbert 52, Jackson 52, Hurts 51, Goff 53. Lawrence is coming soon. If it comes down to 2 or 3 mil i believe Dak will sign. Wouldn't surprise me if the cowboys offered 45 originally.

Miami fan, Tua's salary shouldn't have anything to do with Goth, Miami has its own financial priorities and it's what's best for the team, not just the player. Getting a big ego salary is like a curse, look at DeShaun Watson, out, Joe Burrow, missed the season, Herbert out, Aaron Rogers, out. Big money puts all the pressure on you but it's the entire team that wins games.

I guess we won't mention the schedule they require to be in game shape, the practice time required to stay at a high level, the amount of money the top players bring into the coffers of their team. The work it takes to nurture their raw talent is something that most people would not be willing to go through.

I doubt much changes w/ Prescott's negotiation. Tua's maybe a lil more. Dak & Tua r in the same tier as Goff, but they don't have the playoff success. Jared is better than Tua 4 sure while he & Dak r about even. Ultimately, Dak's likely headed towards 2025 free agency & Tua will probably sign a short-term extension 4 less per yr than Goff but more than Cousins (my guess $48M-50M/yr for 2-3yrs).

If the falcons and Lions were dumb enough to do those deals the cowboys and dolphins will follow suit. This isn't merit-based pay it's just the next guy up none of these quarterbacks are game-changing quarterbacks. Josh Allen, Patrick mahomes, Justin Hebert, Lamar Jackson, Joe burrow, these guys are game changers not that they deserve this kind of money but they deserve twice as much as these tier two guys do.

Dak and Tua are NOT worth a contract extension! Stop being paralyzed by trying to hold onto tiny shreds of relevance. Offer them 30M per and let them pound sand if they won’t take it. Neither team is making any noise in the playoffs already. It only gets worse when you massively overpay your QB!!

Seriously, the level of ignorance from these supposed experts.....What on earth has Dak done (in big games or post season) that we think he deserves as much as Goff, let alone more than Goff! The disrespect that Goff gets around the media is ridiculous. Goff has outperformed Dak in big games his entire career, heck even in a playoff game against Dak, which he won...ridiculous

I think Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers, and Jackson are the only QBs who are worth a max contract. The rest of those teams won't sniff the superbowl overpaying mid quarterbacks.

Goff has earned the money. When he plays well, his team gets to the NFC Championship game and the Super Bowl. Dak Prescott has never been to the NFC Championship game. Tua can't throw the ball 60 yards. Let's stop the nonsense here.

There's a draft every year for a reason find a qb there. The Cowboys found Romo who was undrafted and Dak was a fourth rounder. Teams need to stop falling into the Kirk Cousins trap of well you won't be bad but you won't be great. Meanwhile your team is handicapped by the qb salary and the qb needs above average talent which you now can't afford

I don't understand how you put a money value on a player. Every year we talk about some crazy number some guy signed for and how it makes another player more or less valued. It always goes up for QB's (maybe not for running backs). Maybe Goff is worth more to the Lions than Dak is to the Cowboys, but since Goff got a great deal (this year), does that mean the Cowboys have to give Dak a better one? I'm not sure about that line of thinking. If Dak hasn't done for them what they were paying him to do for the last three years, It's unlikely that will change. It appears that the rest of the NFC East has gotten better and more competitive. The Dolphins would be smart not to give Tua a huge long term deal. They will probably regret it. Never Draft a QB from Alabama or Ohio State in the first round, they haven't lived up to the hype since Joe Namath (Hurts came close but he won't see another Super Bowl from the field unless he is a backup late in his career on a Championship team). Don't get mad at me for saying it, it's in the record books lol.

Goff is far more successful than either Tua or Dak by a wide margin... and you can't use the stacked roster thing against him because Dallas and Miami have had some incredible rosters over the last few years. Goff clearly needs a team around him, most especially a top flight offensive line, but honestly how many QBs don't? Maybe 2?? Goff took 2 historically downtrodden teams either to a Super Bowl or the doorstep of a Super Bowl in the Rams and Lions while Dak has taken an historically great franchise nowhere it hasn't been going for the last 60 years and Tua has yet to win a playoff game period.

Dallas sucks when it comes to contract talk. They waiting way to long and loosing more money. OFC they gonna give Cedee a new deal so why wait? the longer they wait the more he gonna get. Dak might be a FA next year. if they end up re sign him they would look stupid becuse his price will be so big that they could save a lot by paying him earlier this year.

I get people HATE Dak Prescott for whatever reason, but trying to convince people that Jared Goff is better just ain’t true. Maybe more like the same but he ain’t better. I don’t know what people are seeing but leave your emotions out of it, and just go by the eye test.

The eye test over the years has shown that while they are probably very much the same player in the regular season... the fact is that Goff has taken teams much further and played much better in playoff games and took a team last year that by the end had NO defense to speak of to the doorstep of the NFC Championship (for the 3rd time). Dak has yet to sniff that level of playoff success despite playing on much more talented teams year in and year out.
