nfs heat had soo much i mean soo much potential it deserves the unbound treatment as in lots of content update i know different studio and it got shutdown but imagine if it didnt i really hope we get need for speed heat 2 and also the love that was given to unbound to heat 2 which is lots of support and updates as well as listening to good feedback love the new dev despite nfs unbound having a rough launch the dev didnt give up on the game

I loved heat's synthwave theme so much. It's one of those games where you can just drink in the atmosphere and not get bored. It's like the vice city effect.

If you think about it, the low payouts and easy cops makes sense when combined with losing all your money if you get busted. If you're busted, which shouldn't happen too often since the cops aren't that hard, you don't lose that much money since you get paid so little, so you don't feel so bad. Problem is that it could be fixed by going the other way, but that would mean more effort in optimizing the game to have more cops on screen, and make the game more fun, so they didn't do that.

I like Heat more than Unbound, but it needs UNIT mod to work iam still not happy how the police works. That map has so many opportunities for good old fashioned pursuit breakers but nah, you can only get rid of the cops by jumping around like three specific areas of the map, the rest is just a demo derby you eventually loose... Also it got left behind by the devs really quick and the PC port is kinda bad. I have to run an AutoHotKey- script in the background in order to use E as the handbrake, the game doesnt let you reassign certain keys which is so dumb :)

The perfect modern NFS to me would be Payback's drift physics, Heat's Night/Day progression system, and Unbound's grip physics.

Man going through this video just reminded me what NFS heat needed to succeed and what I wished Unbound improved upon. The scenario system 1. The day/night system was stellar though incomplete. Daytime NEEDED a "blacklist" system or Crew system to work your way up. So you do events (races in different forms), to earn money and reputation but the ratio is like 7:2 money : rep. These crews would be met in different regions of the map in parking garages like Nfs unbound (but we can individually look at each car and walk around the PA) 2.The night system NEEDED a tie-in to the crew system (like multiple AI Bosses that you can only race at night after building rep over a few days) so you race team mates in the day and their bosses at night. 3. The cops need a reason to be involved other than taking down racers. (Something like a car theft ring or something even more grand like The Crew 1's storyline). The gameplay itself 1. The handling model in heat was (in moderately powered cars) reaponsive and quick although after certain speeds it becomes a powersliding fest. So we need something that is similar to heat but as you upgrade your car you choose how much grip or sliding you want. 2. To balance all cars at the maximum upgrade limit. This has been a problem since nfs2015. Like they all can have a. 0-100km of 2.89 s max. And turning raduis would vary according to player tuning (though each car can have the same minimum raduis with the right tune) 3. The support system for players engaged in pursuits. Pursuit breakers, hiding spots, and even crew members (like in Carbon that can blockers, drafters, scouts) that assist you in escaping pursuits. On the flip side there are more cops once you hit heat lv3. And forget the health system its annoying. Rather getting your car jammed after being surrounded by more than 6 cops at once (front back left right) without at least breaking the line of cover for more than 2 minutes. Thats all I've got for now😅.

45:09 The best descriptor I can give for it is the Gold Nitro from the Yellow Line race in Redline. I also just want to add that you might've had a better chance with it if you didn't use a very lowered car. From personal experience ultra lowered cars + high speed doesn't end well 99% of the time. Maybe next time you can try it out again but with a car with decent ride height.

My own issue with Heat, was that i could never find a sweet spot for difficulty, which i found was a relativly unique problem with racing games... I apparently had a skillset that was way too bad for the highest difficulty, but too good for anything below that! So i either obliterated the AI, or got creamed in every single event, no matter how many times i retry, so i ended up quitting the game out of pure challenge frustration...

I hope future nfs games stiff have Offroad tracks, but they should give up with the altered physics while you’re in the dirt. Somewhere between MW2012 & 2015’s Offroad. Because Offroad upgrades were either not needed or completely irrelevant.

I feel like alot of your gripes with the cops are mitigated once you are up to a good car level, but I see how that doesnt matter because how can you get there if they take 10k per heat level off you early game 😭😭 funny ass video man 💯

Can't blame EA for maning drifting worse in Unbound. Almost everyone was complaining that brake to drift was better than grip driving since Payback, so now drift is worse and grip is heavily rewarded with the burst nitrous. Why Heat is a better game? Map is already a big reason why. Unbound's map is so dull and boring all around, it's just a big pile of grey. Characters weren't force fed cringey lines for the entirety of the story in heat like they are in unbound as well.

I want to play this mod, but why does nfs heat use so much CPU while using lowest graphics? Its the only game i have that maxed the CPU usage? It gets very hot when playing and im scared my PC components will break. How do i make nfs heat not use that much CPU?

I am new to KuruHS and I am very much entertained by his MW and Carbon videos, especially challenges like stock golf. I tried doing the stock golf challenge myself as well and won upto 4 races of Bull but can't progress any further. All the other sprints, knockouts and speedtrap opponents are way too fast for me. I tried to look into kuru's twitch channel for the full video but can't find it. Can someone help me find it?

I really love nfs heat so much compared to nfs unbound, unbound was a disappointment, the handling is just pretty fkd up, like finally you can turn off drifting either by brake or gas so you can go full grip, but grip is shit.. it goes wiggly through the corners like its not a grip or even a drift, its a confusing way to corner in the game, only if heat wasn't dismissed and all that work done into nfs unbound done to heat instead, heat will be a great success

I’m definitely in the minority, but I hated Heat and quite enjoyed Unbound. Reasons (those are my opinions, nothing more): 1) Heat is simply unfair (specifically cop chases) for a casual not-tryhardy player (medium difficulty for most games kinda person) 2) Heat has abhorrent handling: I’m allergic to drifting, and Unbound lets me drive how I want to drive, not how the game decides it for me 3) visual style: Heat is too happy, pink and blue and polished. Cell shading in Unbound didn’t bother me at all, it looks fresh and unique compared to most racing games these days.
