Hi Kuru and hi everyone! Thank you so much for the video showcase, I'm currently working on the Patch 3 of the game, it will revisit all cars performance making them even more close to real ones and I've also some visual improvements coming. I will listen to all your feedbacks and improve the pack as much as possible (the game has been pushed to the limit with the latest major update and there's no much room to add more stuffs, but I will do my best to optimize the game files and polishing it even more!) Replying to some of the questions in the video: - The mod has been completely redone from scratch since the latest update (2022) - Difficulty is indeed increased, AI opponents speed and acceleration multiplayer went from 1.0 (vanilla) to 1.2 (current release), they don't really drive better, just faster - I will try to improve AI points in drift events in the upcoming patch - Some car mods are still present since the old version (some still works quite well) but I will update the car lot soon - Pursuits have been totally revisited and have a custom balancement in this version, definitely harder than vanilla and more engaging, but not impossible-hard level - WTF have you done to that poor Bugatti!? 🤣

Loving the Mod so far bro! My only requests would be to patch bugs so the game doesn't glitch or crash, and for the ability to change tires in autosculpt. Other than that, i've been having one hell of a time.

@@GoInGcRz Yeah I think improving overall performance bugs like that would be great, especially when Carbon is a bit unstable on its own (mine crashes like hell on PC base version, modded, AND redux, sadge)

Forza Motorsport was screwed because they kept firing most of the dev team before their 18 months were up so they wouldn't get benefits. So nothing got done on that game

22:26 this isn't exactly true though, because if you look up the IL speedrun times, the lancer evo dominates the leaderboards. i'm unsure where you got the idea that the tuners struggled that much, but average speed is king and the lanevo's exceptional handling keeps the pace even in sharp corners. for casual playthroughs you could buy the corvette and call it a day but i guarantee you won't be setting any record-breaking lap times in it

After the success of Most Wanted, the crunch for Black Box developers was miserable, and Carbon was one of the first victims of EAs greed. The game was supposed to include many more races, areas to explore, and the police was gonna be improved upon from its predecessor. Overall? EA fckin sucks

Carbon was the first game I pirated back in the day and deleted 3 days after that. The game was just too short and not that interesting to me. Canyon racing was good and wanted to cash in on FnF Tokyo Drift at the time but thats it. Nice to see that its still getting mods :)

In the original game it was possible to unlock 240sx and jaguar xkr for Career mode. You had to complete some challenges in challenge series. Still remember beating Wolf in xk, it was glorious

I feel you, Kuru. Perfectionism can be a pain. Because we sometimes feel that this is a better choice to avoid disappointment or the regret of not getting something nice. And we do slow us down like a rock when we are in this state.

Actually the teammates you uave in-game, their engine settings on the programmation code are using the cop's car engine, that's why they sometimes are ridiculously fast, it seems they did this on purpose, or maybe they forgot to change it. Idk.

I want to be able to wager and bet pink slips with the option to race either players or AI. Midnight Club LA did this quite well. I loved how the player could pull up to various meets at cool locations, race wagers against npcs, participate in a tournament to win a pink slip, it was ahead of its time. Please bring this to NFS!

Loved that deep talk you had during this, it really made me think about all the stuff. I do agree with you on the arcade games. NFS and Forza are sadly the leading ones right now, and I would like some another game to get out and get everyone play (such as Wreckfest a few years back). With sim games, I do partly agree. You can have a lot of fun thanks to modders who do a lot of stuff for these games. Assetto Corsa is a great option. There's ton of mods for this game, like the Gran Turismo 7 mod or the Touge mod Jimmy played. With new NFS game developement I wholeheartedly agree. Gameplay needs to be fixed. Even if they had to spend 1 year on it, do it, I'll gladly wait. Also I would leave graphics for the last. Game that has amazing graphics but is bad in other aspects just won't be great. About the storyline importance, I partly agree. Like the storyline doesn't have to be Oscar-award worthy, but pretty interesting storyline is a good thing to keep the players playing it. For comparison look latest Forza Horizon. I've seen players hate the game cause the storyline is repetitive and just not enjoyable and they just play this game for multiplayer. Also one thing I would care about is are the amount of DLCs, passes, and other paid stuff. When I see that a game has like 10+ DLCs and other paid stuff ingame it just makes me wanna pirate the game and not pay shit for it. More ingame achievements that I worked for, less paid stuff. Also one thing important to me is the soundtrack. Like for example Undercover isn't a good game, but it has really good soundtrack that made me still wanna play it. And in my opinion, rap, hip-hop, rock and metal music are a must-have genres for a racing game. And lastly, yes I do agree on the rims choice. I also do choose the ones I like the most in first moments lmao.

Would you like to give shift 2 one more run, but with either put Gtyres+Ptmu handling mods or Unofficial patch 1.2 Gtyres with Ptmu enhance the handling physics only but patch 1.2 gives a lot of fixes, addition , and changing the gameplay so far

@@current3109 how are iRacing, Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally "clones of each other"? Kuru doesn't even play sim racers to begin with, and all of those games have different feel and handling models, with Assetto having infinite amount of unique content that no other sim game, let alone maybe some arcade games can offer. Worst of all, the three games i mentioned all handle incredibly different categories of racing. Kuru mentioned "all of those games end up being the same", yet there's not really a lot of stable and active sim racing games to begin with? I agree that sim racing IS quite stale if you aren't competitive and like racing as a discipline overall, but calling all games "clones" of each other is plain wrong. Hell, if anything sim-cade suffers from this a whole lot more ever since Forza Horizon became a hit. I'd make the same argument for most black box NFS games. They are great games, but they are incredibly similar and repetitive.
