Another gameplay of NFS:HS with proper widescreen. Patches and tweaks used here:
VEG's Modern Patch* + Felix Krull's Widescreen lib patch + dgVoodoo (DX mode) tool, configured by De-M-oN + also using various HD tracks and cars.

everything works great and its so close to being a total dream for playing this game again, except the geometry looks totally broken when in a race, like everything is split in half. i dont know how to describe it, ill try linking an image in a reply if youtube doesnt delete it for containing a link. any idea what could cause that?

okay i figured it out, i just had to make sure the resolution was on 640x480 x 16 and only that resolution, not even with x 32 does it work.

Видеоролики проигрываются? Было дело, целый вечер ушел на эксперименты, так и не добился работы видеороликов на Windows 7 X64. Что странно, более старый NFS 3 - Hot Pursuit, работал идеально, на этом же ПК, со всеми роликами, буквально первый попавшийся репак.

наверное тоже будет виснуть, надо в программе dgVoodoo (приложена к файлам) крутить настройки и пробовать

Hey thanks this patch worked! in fact the image appears to me just like in your video, But did you not realize that everything is slightly crushed? It is as if it was set to 16:10 instead of 16: 9. Just compare it with the PSX version in awaited native ratio to understand that the size created with your patch are not correct :( I wanted to ask you how did you create this patch? Is there a way to modify it/correct it and then slightly stretch the image? thanks!!

if you are playing with default HS models you will notice that they is stretched out vertically. This is the models issues of HS on PC, some people are dealing with it by playing on stretched 16:10 I'm not the author of that patch, just packed and placed multiple patches into the right order to work You can force the aspect ratio by going into drivers/ws_dgvoodoo_dx9/nfshs-widescreen.ini and changing the value according to file

@@hypernucle Thanks a lot for your quick reply! What do you mean to change the value based on the file? By files do you mean those modified with Hex Value? As for ".ini" file I tried to modify values other than those of default, (16: 9) for example: ;targetAspectRatioWidth=16 ;targetAspectRatioHeight=10 but absolutely nothing changes, indeed it seems to have no use as file. I noticed that in your archive there are 2 files exe; (NFS4_WS.exe), and (NS4_WS_NC.exe), and do not work for me, they open to me but it shows me the menu completely glitch and therefore I cannot continue, in any case mistakes or these 2 files are those modified with HOR+?, I say this why I also tried with my Exe that I changed following a guide on KZfaq, and this also appears identical glitches themselves, while with the exe of the Veg's patch everything goes smoothly. However, it is really absurd that cars in the PC version are lengthened vertically! :o Do you know any other solution to be able to play it with an adequate proportion? Are there mods that insert cars models with normal dimensions? Thank you really and sorry for all these questions, but I don't know where to ask myself!
