I still play this game, even today. In my opinion NHL 2001 is better then all other hockey videogames released to date. I play this more often on my ps2 then I play NHL 10. Had to buy a second copy of this game because I overplayed the first one. Now I need a third, god I love this game.

I remember playing this game with my friends on many many sleepless nights...The PS1 version was much more fun to play. The NHL series was never the same again after this game.

omg this brings me back, i remember when i would go over to my aunts old house and play this on the computer for hours when i was 7 through 10 years old, this is the nhl game that got me into nhl,best intro for an nhl game i have seen, the new intros blow. Ahhhh......memories :)

Minor error at 0:43 Tom Barrasso (the goalie in the scene) is left-handed, so his glove arm is in the wrong position.

Ha! The Stars player at 1:13 is wearing the team's inaugural jersey, not the current one at the time. I know it's an error because they show their then-current ones at 0:39 and 1:03. Little nitpick from a jersey enthusiast.

Ever since 2001 on, the intro's to EA Hockey Games has really sucked. Taking out the live action and great plays from the year past is the worst thing they could of done.
