@@DissonantCat Not sure that's valid. As whatever level of hockey fan, could you imagine a state of fatigue that would make you include the word "shootout" in a hockey video, over two full rounds into the playoffs? Because I can't. Feels like the editor can't possibly be very familiar with hockey.

As a British Panthers fan I stayed up to watch this, puck drop was 1am, my plan was to watch and at least get a couple of hours sleep before work. TV coverage finished at 7:30am… Wouldn’t change it for the world though. What a game! Go Cats!

Yeah I feel like it's disrespectful or something like that not to show more since the game was so long and to only show the goals basically all of that game time for 8 minutes of video they need more screen time and screen time highlighting their highlights during this long game

@Buried Unkind From memory: Chara, Ovi, Landeskog all won quite recently, Lidstrom a while back. Kopitar probably wasn't the captain when they won, but these are just europeans, there have to be some american captains for sure. Much more international C's than before so many more will be added to the list in the following years.

Longtime Canucks fan living in Vancouver here. For about a week now, I've been getting the feeling that the Panthers are a team of destiny. Dallas is the least likely to win, not a fan of the GKs and have a friend who lives in NC so Hurricane SC championship wouldn't bother me. But there's something about the Panthers that makes me feel like they're going to be hoisting the Cup at center ice in three weeks. We'll see what Carolina's response is. But to lose a game that was essentially 2 games in one, that's gotta hurt.

@@sergiolandz6056 I wasn’t alive during the 90’s, but I know that they had some entertaining games and series, really wish we had more of it in today’s game. This game however was one of the most entertaining playoff games I’ve seen in recent years along with Tampa vs Columbus in 2020.

The only good thing to come out of this is that if Florida does win this series and hopefully get to play Dallas in the final, the extra periods will take a toll on Florida making it harder down the stretch.

@@bhsdhmu the only real reason I want Carolina to win is because I don’t like Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett, plus it would be nice to see a different state represented by the East in the cup final instead of Florida every year. But with how well Florida is playing, they definitely deserve a shot at the cup.

@@steverobinson8771 I want a Canes vs Stars Final, two teams that have been great for a number of years now, have faced a lot of heartbreak, gained lots of playoff experience, and play the right way come playoff time. Although Florida in the Final would be entertaining to say the least! A team nobody thought would even win 2 games against Boston now defying all the odds stacked against them now on a mission to prove the hockey world wrong!

I´m a big Bruins fan and as soon as Panthers eliminated us, I started to root for them to win the cup. They play very solid hockey in this PO and it´s always special when franchise wins their first ever SC. Go Panthers.

And for Canadian fans who think the playoffs are "boring" now.. for like the 3rd time this playoffs I've said this "You reap what you sow" Toronto would have never been in the position to be in a game this competitively close. This was one of the greatest playoffs games I've seen in a long time. I'm not even a fan of either of these teams, just a fan of great hockey.

Sixth Longest game in Playoff history! The two longest are from the 1930s. So 4th longest in modern history. The longest of those, on May 4, 2000, was Flyers vs. Penguins in 152 minutes, 1 second. (5 OTs). Meanwhile, this game was 139 minutes, 47 seconds. So really only a difference of about about 12 minutes!! Definitely an exciting night. I LOVEEE when a game goes into multiple overtimes. It's soo much more exciting to win it. Enjoy it Panthers fans!!

This game made me remember of the 5th OT game in the 2000 playoffs when Keith Primeau hit the game-winning goal versus the Penguins, giving the Flyers a 2-1 victory. Even the game-winning goal by Matthew Tkachuk was fairly similar with the the way he shot and was also basically in the position of the ice to that of Keith Primeau's goal 23 years ago. I'm a Capitals fan but I still remember watching that entire game with Steve Levy making the call

Bobrovsky in the playoffs is a beast! As a fan of the Edmonton Oilers, the only team left that I don't have anything against is the Panthers, and I was sure this game was going to the fifth OT/8th period but then the goal at the end of the 4th OT was good.

I take back saying nobody would watch a Florida Carolina eastern final. I couldn’t stay up to watch it all but 4 overtimes?! Insane. Considering how competitive the Tkachuck brothers are if the Panthers hoist the cup, it’s only going to be good for my team the Sens. What I did watch into the 2nd OT was incredible. An all timer I think.

У них просто заготовка такая, с регулярки - 3 периода, ОТ, буллиты. И они не отредактировали под плей-офф. Поэтому вместо второго ОТ у них автоматически пишется shootout. Было уже такое

Would be great for my girlfriend and I we have money on the Panthers to win the cup and could win a substantial amt.I put money on the Panthers to make the playoffs back on January 27 and when I saw the Panthers beat the Bruins twice reg season I told my girlfriend we are putting money on the Panthers they have a shot at the cup so far has worked out.The risk to reward was well worth it.I have been watching hockey since the Isles won 4 straight cups I was 15 at the time Mike Bossy was amazing to watch Ovechkin not even close to that man.

TKACHUK!! 4OT GWG!! Beautiful!! Greatest game EVER!! Bob had his best performance too. Absolutely incredible. I love this team!! I watched the whole game from start to finish. It was nail biting / super amazing. I am so glad I stayed up to watch history. Go Panthers!! 😃🐯🏒

Amazing game panthers and hurricanes. Man they looked third on the 3rd of but got that speed game down in the 4th ot. So glad I stayed up for this one

Overall, Barkov is still playing the best 200ft game. Bob is the mvp though.
