The fact that Bob threw his stick to allow his blocker side to move faster which blocks Aho's shot is far beyond impeccable.

You might be giving him too much credit. His grip on the stick in that moment was not good, and the lateral movement of the blocker leveraged the shaft out of what little grip he had.

@@BaleygrrVasilevskiy is extremely talented, but he heavily underperformed in the Playoffs and didn’t match expectations. Bobrovsky single-handedly stole wins for the Panthers throughout his Playoff run and will undoubtedly give this team its first Stanley Cup.

Some of the Canes were wildly angry walking off the ice, so I'd say you're right. No matter what they tried, they put up 32 shots couldn't beat Bobrovsky one time. It's almost like every game he plays, he just gets stronger.

@@hunterbolton2680 Now you know how the Leafs felt. What was it 54 shots in that last game . Most of our fans blaming our top 4 guys. He's doing the same to Carolina's goal scorers. The only poor game the Leafs had was the third game. He keeps this up, no doubt who wins the Conn Smythe.

Sergei BOBROVSKY!!! YESSSIR what a beast of a goalie. Carrying the team hands down. Such a privilege to watch him doing some worldclass goaltending like this. He makes so many big saves game after game, 3 beautiful wins including this shutout. He's on fire and deserves the conn smythe and lord stanley! He is so fun to watch! 2x Vezina trophy winner and here's why. Damn he's good!!!! Gg Bob you're the best!! Go Panthers!!

I've mentioned before...at this time of the year, you have to have that goalie with lightning in a bottle and Bobrovsky is operating on all cylinders. Rooting hard for the Panthers. They have had almost 3 decades of bad luck and this may very well be the " Year of the Cat "

I’m a bruins fan. When they lost game 7 in OT I thought “how could they lose to the Florida Panthers?” But now I think “how did they go 7 games against the Florida Panthers?” Lol. This team is so fun to watch, I hope they go all the way!

Yeah, people forget this was the team that won the President's Trophy last year, and they improved since then. Bob just hasn't been good for them (until now when it matters most). But, they've put it all together at the right time of year. This is a 2 or 3 seed team that came in disguised as an 8th seed.

"How did they go 7 games against the Panthers?" It's cause Alex Lyon was in net for Games 1-3 (though Bob was put in the final 8 minutes of Game 3).

Bobrovsky is doing what Vasilevsky did for the Lightning for those two cups. You dont win a cup unless your goalie is playing out of their minds. Its by far the most important part of the game at this stage. Offense means nothing compared to defense as the Oilers and Bruins losing shows.

That's how I feel about Vegas, to be honest. The Panthers are on a hot streak at the moment, but I feel like they'll eventually be stopped by the Knights who have been hungry for the cup ever since they nearly achieved it in their inaugural season.

At least the Canes have shown up in the series. I don't have a dog in the race but I would be happy with the compete level of either team and only one gets to move on. I think its nice that when they blame the tender for the 3 game hole it will be the one in the other net not theirs. I call that refreshing :)

This is basically just a Bobrovsky highlight reel in one game. Unbelievable. Some of the best goaltending I’ve ever seen. Not a panthers fan, but pulling for them big time! Love rooting for underdogs

Don't misunderstand me, he's been playing VERY well... but I didn't think he was the reason his team won some of those games. Against the Leafs, he was frequently really lucky... a bounce here, a deflection there... He was frequently really good, but I didn't think it was because of HIM that Florida won. Not so this game. He flat out stole this one.

Иногда складывается впечатление что Флорида играет так свободно и безалаберно , потому что уверены что Серега в любом случае из спасет и оставит в игре. Команда играет легко и непринужденно, полностью полагаясь на Серегу. И он конечно на 1000 процентов оправдывает их ожидания !! Мне кажется Сергей сам кайфует от такой игры с самого себя …! Cousins was hit in the mouth and it wasn’t called. Refs aren’t the problem when the canes have only managed 1 goal that wasn’t on a power play

Yeah refs were bad both ways ... aka the new normal. The high stick at the end, you can clearly see the ref turn his head to follow the play up the ice before the high stick. Now, a savvy official would have maintained his gaze on those two players looking for anything behind the play. But, he can't call what he doesn't see. Since there was no injury, a linesman cannot step in. A bit later, a stick was knocked out of the hands of a Florida forechecker ... no call. So, just saying, calls were missed for both teams, and the calls that Carolina got against them in this game were WAY obvious. They were undisciplined.

@@evanbrad7327 re-read what I wrote. To call a 2 min minor, the ref has to see it. For a linesman to step in, there must be an injury. So, if I linesman did see it, they can't say anything to the ref as there was no injury.

To think these guys were done in game #5 against Boston! Happy Ullmark gave up that softy when Florida pulled the goalie! One of the sweetest playoffs run i’ve ever seen. Not a single doubt in my mind; these guys are getting the cup this year.

Bobrovsky's glove save on Noesen , it looked so weird he actually stayed on his feet ! I can't remember a goalie doing that in the last 20 years.

What a performance from Bob. I think the media should chill with ripping on the leafs. Especially if this series ends in a sweep. I think Florida will take the cup at this rate.

You can really see that Carolina gave it all this game. They didn't give an inch to Florida and yet it was all for naught. Bobrovsky is just a force of nature right now. His saves are so confident, it's like he reads the shooter and shot perfectly with a 6th sense. He doesn't even need an inch to be given, he's just unbeatable.

No. Barkov was out of most of this game, and they still won. If they can't close this out in 5 without Barkov, then they don't deserve to move on.

Anyone else miss the playoffs with players could score on breakaways and odd-man rushes? Was so fun to watch the elegant playoff goals in the late 80's and early 90's.
