I was in the barn for CBJ's sweep of Tampa that was the loudest building I've ever been in! I know it's only 1 series win but Columbus had waited through YEARS of poor management and being just on the cusp of winning their first series. To do it against one of the winningest regular season teams in history was astounding. So happy to have been there for it.

Chris K They had a beast team, just lazy and no chemistry since 7 members on that team were going through legal battles for rape. Which is why 7 players weren't allowed to take the cup to their home cities.

Chris K no, I don’t think you should add St Louis. They only won 1 cup in recent history and other than that 1 cup win they have been irrelevant. Every losing team you see on this video have been relevant and have accomplished much more than St Louis...

@BRIMTIME !!!!!!! The point of the video though is to show the team that shouldn’t of won... STL was NOT expected to win anything and yet they beat one of the most elite teams in the NHL! They totally deserve to be on this list even if they only won a single cup.

That narrative has become rather lazy. They had a great team that just hadn’t found their feet yet. And they had multiple games in hand when they were in last place, which they only were in for maybe a day or so if my memory serves me right.

The Wild beating the super stacked Avalanche team in 2003 to advance to the Conference Finals comes to mind for a part two. Remember, that was back when expansion teams completely sucked, and the Wild had to split players with Columbus just three years prior, all while the Thrashers and Predators also had their picks the previous two seasons. And it happened in Game 7, OT. Andrew Brunette became the very last player to score on Patrick Roy that night.

@@sportsfrenzy3501 Philly and Boston (were the 7th and 6th seeds), and while the Panthers were technically the 1 seed in their division, they only had 3 more points than the Islanders in the regular season. Underdogs are teams that are seen to have very little chance of winning, not just a team with a lower seed.

Quite a few of the losing teams went on the win the Cup, a year later in a couple of cases. Usually teams have to lose in order to learn how to win.

It was a great sports moment for sure but were the Isles really underdogs in the Florida series? Im not trying to take away from what they did and I personally like them better out of the two NY teams but I expected them to win that series as soon as I heard the matchup and I know other people thought theyd win that series too. I woulda put that clip in Loudest crowd moments or electrifying goals. Beside that great video. Am so excited the season has started. Go Habs go!

Yeah I get that Tampa won 60 plus games but they played a team that had won 50 games in previous seasons and took first round exits to Stanley Cup champs .....they had loaded up the most at trade deadline and where one of the hottest teams going into playoffs and where already in playoff mode .

That was the Kings first is '14. But, when they won in '16 they took the 8th seed on the last day of regular season and went 16-3 to win the cup. Sweeping STL (presidents cup in 4 games). They dominated. It was beautiful. GO KINGS!
