Now imagine Sens keeping up that pressure for all 3 periods while being able to not let so much go the other way. They'd be dominating the league. The talent is there. Let's hop that with time and good coaching they can get there. Would love to see Sens as a playoff team again.

Yeah but they're opposition would need to seriously break down every game - this was an unusual breakdown of a defense, that's missing two key players And a team missing a Brad Marchand. Don't get ahead of yourselves now.. Bruins just took care of the Panthers without too much extraordinary effort. Missing those same 3 key players. This is a great opening night win for Sen fans.. enjoy the moment. Yet 25+ out of the 32 teams will not break down like this for 40+ minutes on any given night. If you look carefully to see who scored the B's goals / assists? They were Bruins players all over the age of 30. Three goals came out of Bergeron, Krejci, Foligno - the oldest guys on the team- some of the oldest starters in the league! Playing back-to-back games in two different countries within 48 hours. So they basically beat tired ole farts according to many Bs fair weather fans & naysayers. lol! Not me - I would never underestimate these guys, especially when the 37 year old Captain just won another Selkie. And I think Forsberg might not think they're so washed up either - he had to work for this game! Don't forget, the senators let five goals in. Forsberg isn't going to forget, his personal GAA stats are going to take a hit for that. They're not going to get far if that keeps up too long. So those Young bucks need to learn how to be two-way players - there's 200 ft of ice to be had. Didn't see a lot of Fore- checking going on. So, we all have a learning curve. Just be careful, because the Bruins defense truly sucked in ways we haven't seen, and most likely will not see again! But I'm glad you got a great opening night. Enjoy the ride!

Sens killed their goalies' personal GAA statistics. ALL 3 goalies killed their GAA's this game. Sens lost to the Sabres and Leafs! Bruins beat Caps & Panthers. Alex and his buddies are heading to Ottawa Thursday night, they probably won't have a keystone cops defense. @TheFoolintherainn
@TheFoolintherainn Жыл бұрын
This is part of the rebuild Swayman will not be a starting goalie for at least two seasons, he's too freaking young... Give him a break and start respecting Linus. He's never had this level coaching, training in his entire career - he's got our backs now. Jeremy's got a ways to go before he's ripe. And it's not like we don't have a Charlie mcavoy & his buddy Matt, along with & lil ratt, who looooves to silence Canadian fans, up our sleeve 😁
@ripelcannon

@@TheFoolintherainn swayman looked like Swiss cheese. This isn't his rookie year, he's got to make some of those saves, especially without two main d-men. He would have been pulled in the first if Ullmark hadn't played so recently.
@TheFoolintherainn
@TheFoolintherainn Жыл бұрын
@@ripelcannon oh I'm not going to argue with you on jeremy, the poor boy was overwhelmed. I happen to be an Ullmark fan for this season & probably next- he's going to carry the heavy load as he did last year. And he's got another couple gears to show you. This is the first time he's ever had this level of elite coaching, training in his life - he was a long shot goalie, sorta like Tom Brady's story. Jeremy swayman's rookie year was 2021 - 22. He was named to the all rookie team last season, that was considered his first rookie year, but it wasn't because he did not have a full season in the nhl. That's the definition of a rookie year. This is his second year, but he's still a rookie. I don't know every aspect to hockey, I specialize in defensive lines and goalie skills coaching - Jeremy is simply not experienced enough and he's not ripe to take a starter a position. That's exactly why we brought Linus Ullmark in. He was actually to back up Rask, and Jeremy would stay in the AHL another season, coming and going as needed. I believe the organization thought Rask was going to be back in time for playoffs, it would be Rask Ullmark - because they knew Jeremy was not ready. If you look carefully, his statistics are quasi artificial - they handed him the easiest games and most of the easy load. . He got home games against the Canes, and he didn't defend the goal, he stopped pucks, stopped play, and caused offensive and face offs. No rebounds, no transitions - just stopped play over and over. That's what he was coached to do cuz he's not a goalie yet! So the technical rookie years for our goalies is kind of screwed up Vladar played in the NHL for the bruins, but his "rookie year" was with the Flames Goalies are fragile - they get one shot at one position on very few teams in the entire hockey world. One bad game can blow an entire career - so they need to be coddled and brought in slowly. If this was 2 years ago? Jeremy would be sent right back down to the ahl... They might be bringing Groseneck or Kincaid up. Sweeney would be on the horn shopping for goalies. Nobody expected Jeremy to take a starter position until possibly 23 - 24. More likely 24-25. Oh yeah - he's still a rookie. don't count goalie experience years the same as those who skate out. They can't be brought up and down like AHL players get shifted around Goalies have one shot at one position in one moment of their lives.. so they're not ready at the same age as other player positions. You might notice the better defenders are older players and veterans - ya get hot shot forwards straight out of the draft, but you don't get defenseman & goalies like that. That's my take on it - technically, Jeremy is still a rookie - he's never had a full season in the NHL. He was sent down last year when Rask came up. Definition of a rookie is their first full season - he hasn't had one yet. More importantly, he's still plays like a rookie - but goalies are going to do that and you can't compare them to players who skate out.

@@joshuarenaud9928 not taking anything away from the Senators offense. Factually, Bruins Defense was far below their proven average. The Sens offense was quick, smart & skilled enough to take advantage In competitive Sports - the player or team that makes the least mistakes wins. So it is a compliment to Sens, but we've not seen Jeremy swayman play such a poor game with the keystone cop defensive lines in front of him Oh yes, the Bears are definitely keeping an eye on the Senators this season. And lots of teams with all that trade hype going on. It's going to end up being mostly hype for a lot of teams But we all know the season doesn't really begin until January anyway. I remember the famous Bobby Orr flying goal on mother's Day - that was May - now we've got Stanley Cup finals heading into July? My theory with this modern League schedule is that September October November are the training camp months You might notice the last 3 years he played, Rask showed up for training camp then somewhere in November he went on maintenance or disappeared and came back full time after Christmas That's what we always do with top athletes anyway - they don't show up for the first couple months on swim teams - cuz they're season goes on so much longer it's going to be fun.. enjoy the ride!

@TheFoolintherainn
@TheFoolintherainn Жыл бұрын
Oh a realistic Senators fans comment - yes, unfortunately forsberg is taking one hell of a hit on his GAA. Can't be letting five goals in and expecting to make it to the playoffs like many of these comments are saying! Those five goals are also telling me your offensive lines are not two-way players - they got to play all 200 ft of that ice! Mr Ovechkin is coming to Town - he'll test those lines for ya! And Brad Marchand was watching - he's got it marked on his calendar for December 27th. The Senators are on their way up - but most of these comments are so unrealistic.. they've lost to the Sabres, & Leafs, who can't buy a win, for goodness sake! I'm hearing many of my fellow fair weather Bruins fans saying this game proves that our guys are too old to handle back to back games- but it was some of the oldest starters currently playing in the NHL, that were involved in 4 out of the 5 goals they got past those Young bucks! Bergeron Krejci Foligno! a total of $6.5 mil outta the rest of the teams $87 mil total cap showed up lol! The boys earning Gatorade and gas money taking Viagra, old enough to be the daddies of some of those Ottawa senator Hot shots... We're the ones that got the puck in the back of the net! It took our oldest farts to get past your Young bucks. This game made no sense being a Senators young bucks success, nor a B's ole fart failure Logic for both teams' fan-bases has been exposed as really screwed up with this game! Frankly, I felt like I was back at a high school Division B game - .. and I swear I could have closed my eyes, changed out some of the names and I was back at my kid's high school game!

@@TheFoolintherainn Yep. No argument here. Offence and defense, are team responsibilities. However, while the old guard in Boston are still obviously carrying their weight and the young guard in Ottawa still has a lot to learn, I would rather be in Ottawa's position going forward. I usually wait until at least the 20 game mark before I assess any teams potential for success.

@@christophercharles3169 I'm here as a B's fan watching the Senators development - keeping an eye on the Senators and Wild this season for explosive growth somewhere along the line I'm a hockey fan too! But my black and gold colors have never run since I witnessed Bobby Orr's Stanley Cups I wouldn't say I'd rather take on the Senators roster than the bruins, we've got veteran player- coaches side by side with our young bucks, you can't beat that quality coaching coming out of somebody like Bergeron! Bruins do a lot of In-House development, so we don't have the Hot shot trade hypes But yeah, I'm throwing out massive respect to these young players in ottawa. I'm not here to bash anybody. I don't hop on the last Stanley Cup winners bandwagon - I look for these guys cuz they are far more interesting than watching the Avalanche pummel teams game after game I have an eye for defense and I'm a goalie skills coach. I am seeing something exciting going on in the Senators, yet they lack a two-way game, in their GAA needs to diminish - very typical for young team. I don't think it's going to stay that way, Sens are going to get dangerous if they come up with another goalie we do take interest in other teams cuz half the time your players will end up on our side of the continent! And we welcome them with open arms! It's hockey. We're a community like no other. Enjoy!

I think you should hope that every team Sens come up against, has a total break down of their defensive lines for at least 40 minutes per game. I'm truly happy Sen's opening night gave a good show to the fans, yet also trying to figure out why people think Sens played well? That was a seriously unusual breakdown for the Bruins team. And 3 of the oldest NHL starters currently playing, the infamous: washed up "ole fart" B's squad, got most of the goals and assists. The Sens got past the B's young bucks, but the guys old enough to be their Daddy's, got past them! I didn't see two way players - there's 200 ft of ice to be had I don't think forsberg is very happy with 5 goals getting in his net - killed his GAA. Team's not going to get too far letting five goals in. The Bruins beat the caps and Panthers so far. Senators have lost to the sabres and leafs And it seemed awfully quiet out on that ice - I think there was a Charlie McAvoy and Brad Marchand missing. Caps are showing up in Ottawa Thursday night - let's see how that goes. So enjoy this moment cuz Mr. Ovechkin means business.

Could have saved three goals simply by standing up but he’s down on his knees every damn time leaving the top of the net wide-open and never adjusted. He played better in the first two games but he got losses so I’m glad to see him get a win. What a wild high scoring no defence game. Cost us two points with the Phantom high stick called that led to a power play goal in the third🤦‍♂️ I actually had to stop watching hockey seven years ago because the referees were so bad and constantly ruining games and pissing me off. I haven’t been to a game or purchased a TV package to watch them since. Hockey today doesn’t resemble the game I grew up playing whatsoever.

Like buddy, we know our defense is a big ol' ? on any given night and we also know Forsberg usually is way better than that. We also are well aware your missing key players & your on a back-to-back. Relax and let us enjoy our win. It's actually a key 4 point win & a win our boys needed for a confidence boost. It's not like any of the comments are calling the B's a poverty franchise like we normally get, or screaming Stutzle is an 'Olympic diver' (where yall at for this video!?) It was a super fun game and B's fans shouldn't be disappointed about this loss either. At the end of the day wether a team scores 2-1 or 7-5 it's still 2 points, or 4 since divisional rivals depending on how you wanna look at it.

Make me cry each time i see Tkachuk playing for the Senator he was suppose to be with the Habs what a BIG mistake by Bergevin i told my friends then the minute he drafted KK Bergevin said that we needed a center i said bull...you draft the most gifted player whatever àhe a foward or defence and that years in third it was Tkachuk so sad even after 4 years i still feel the pain.Life go on still a Habs fan.

My dad is a Montreal fan and we watched the draft together… I was jumping up and down when Montreal made their selection knowing Ottawa would snatch Brady up in a heartbeat and he would change the franchise. The exact type of guy you want leading your team into the playoffs.

I have a theory. If you don't smile at your child's graduation and when you watch boston lose you're a jerk. I also don't like jack calling games but when he has to do it and announce 7 goals against his team it's ok....you know what I mean?

We're not sad. We still have a Charlie mcavoy, Matt Gryzlck and Brad Marchand up our sleeve! It was our supposed old guys, some of the oldest NHL starters currently playing, that got past these hot young bucks.. the inexperienced Bruins had a tough time figuring out where their asses were. This is the rebuild many Bruins fans have been calling for. We're okay - I know Brad Marchand was watching! Its not going to happen again! 🐻

@@sensfan7550 Excuses are one thing, facts are another. Swayman isn’t a starter in this league. We scored 5 goals and still lost. I’m absolutely salty about that lol. One of em even got waived off and he still gave up a touchdown.

The Senators let in FIVE GOALS The bears rolled themselves. I'm not worried, Charlie mcavoy, Matt Gryzlck and especially Brad Marchand we're watching. It's not going to happen again 🐻🐻🐻. so enjoy it cuz Alex Ovechkin and his buddies are coming to Ottowa. they're defensive lines are probably not going to break down for 40 minutes that game. And Ottawa will be visiting Boston shortly after Christmas - Brad, Charlie and Matt should be slamming in the boards, wearing their black & gold jerseys with brand new shiny skates from Santa by then! Ottawa will still let in 5 goals -but the Bruins won't.
